Pete is our Home Manager at Oaken Holt Nursing and Residential Home, here’s a little bit more about himself and the home in his own words:
“Oaken Holt is a wonderful home-from-home with a fascinating history and a wide range of activities and facilities. There is an energetic and compassionate team working with me to deliver the highest standards of care.
We are really fortunate to have such extensive and beautiful grounds, and it is well-documented what a positive impact being outdoors can have on everyone’s mental well-being, so I will be working with my colleagues and our residents to make sure we are making the most of those opportunities.
Every person in our community has a story to tell and our role is to help those stories be told, shared, and understood. We put the individual at the heart of everything we do, celebrating their stories, and helping them write new chapters.”
I work closely with families and their loved ones to support them through the transition to residential care, building lasting relationships and providing peace of mind during what can be a difficult and emotional time. My role is to ensure they make fully informed decisions, using the knowledge and experience I have gained over 16 years in this role.
