Very grateful to Robin, Karen and the team for their rapid response to our urgent need for respite care for my dad following a difficult night back at home after hospital discharge . They made it happen within a few hours - all the more impressive as it was over a weekend. The team have been welcoming and attentive, his room is comfy, and the broader facilities and surroundings very pleasant. Thank you to all the staff.
We are very pleased at the care of our mother received at Ruth Court, and cannot praise the staff highly enough. The manager is a lovely hands on person who even blow-dried mum's hair when she first arrived. The transition from residential to nursing was very easy as it was just downstairs, and staff provided compassionate and thorough end of life care. The home itself is very pleasant with a great choice of rooms, which made visiting more enjoyable.
Very comfortable
He has been a resident at Rush Court for almost 3 years. During this time he has been cared for with kindness, empathy, and understanding. It is a wonderful place to spend one's final years.
Thank you for taking the time to share your kind feedback. We are truly grateful for your thoughtful words.
It means a great deal to know that your loved one has experienced kindness, empathy, and understanding throughout his nearly three years with us. Providing compassionate, person-centred...
I have been very happy during my stay.
thank you for your review of Rush Court and for choosing Rush Court for your respite stay. I am glad you are happy during your stay. I hope you are settling well back at home with your newly installed wet room. we look forward to welcoming you back when you require a future respite stay.
Carehome itself appears well maintained and comfortable and appropriate for its residents and staff. All staff are warm, friendly and professional, particularly the activities team, chefs, reception team and immediate clinical care teams. Clinical care is very attentive, considerate and adaptable and medically they are extremely knowledgable and intuitive and have a good relationship with the local doctors. Activities team are thoughtful and caring at all times - they are brilliant! Interactions with myself have always been professional, thoughtful and balanced in terms of care needs. Really pleased and impressed with the whole team at Rush Court.
thank you very much for your review of rush court and team. we will continue to provide outstanding quality care to your mother and and all residents. we will continuously uphold Elizabeth's values.
We're very happy to have had Mum at Rush Court over the last few years. The staff are always very positive and friendly and have a great rapport with her. There is a good deal of refurbishment going on the moment which will provide a freshened dining area in the nursing section together with a cafe. We're looking forward to sitting in the courtyard in the sun drinking tea with her. I must make a special mention of the 'entertainment' team who are bursting with enthusiasm and novel ideas to enrich the lives of the residents.
we hope to earn a 5star rating in the future and please let me know if there is anything we can do to make us earn 5 star rating.

My experience directly collates with the personal relationships exercised by staff member and degree to which this is established with me. There are bound to be times when staff shortages affect the ideal and I accept the ups and downs of life in a care home overall.
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Rush court. I have reflected on your comments, I hope we can work together to ensure the rest of your stay is of the five-star standard we always strive for. As discussed during my meeting with you on Friday [13/02/26], we have new chef in post and i can reassure you that food quality is our priority.
We feel that Rush Court is falling far short of its excellent aspirations.
*Whilst some staff are good, some are not so good and there appears to be a high proportion of agency staff (hence not giving a higher rating). A new manager has recently been appointed and I understand the staff issue is being addressed.
Thank you for your review, as previously discussed with you at the time of raising concern. All issues raised was dealt with promptly and actions put in place.
Thank you for taking the time to review Rush Court. All concerns were actioned and I can assure you that we take any concerns raised...
The transfer from Hospital was seamless and she was greeted warmly by lovely staff at Rush Court. Everyone from the reception staff to senior management and the brilliant Physios were remarkable. Caring, efficient and with attention to detail. The environment is amazing and the food excellent.
After 4 weeks in Rush Court she had changed from a slightly depressed, poorly mobile, frail elderly person to a smiling (and occasionally laughing a lot) person walking with a frame and sometimes two sticks. The Physios were incredibly effective.
She didn't want to leave and had nothing but positive experience to report. Highly recommended.
It is so lovely to read about the progress your Mother made during her stay at Rushcourt. Your positive comments will be shared with all the staff, thank you.
My father had been unwell for a couple of months so he thought that some respite care would be good for him and also for his wife. They were in for 2.5 weeks, sharing a room as they do at home, and the rest did them both the world of good. The food was excellent (I went for lunch one day out of curiosity and agree with them), the room was comfy, with a lovely view out over the countryside, and the staff were kindness itself. In addition, my stepmum took advantage of the flat and well maintained garden path, and walked all round it at least once a day, which has improved her walking, and as a result, she shuffles much less now. They both agreed it was like a small cosy country hotel and would definitely repeat the experience.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review your parents stay at Rushcourt. Your very kind and positive comments will be shared with the team and we hope to see them both again if a respite stay is needed in the future.
My husband went in for respite during a crisis in our lives. Rush Court is a lovely building in beautiful countryside. The staff are lovely and caring. He had a nice room on the ground floor and elected to have his meals in his room which on reflection was a mistake. The food was of good quality but often cold when it reached him, particularly the breakfasts. Probably because he was one of very few men there he had no-one to talk to other than the staff and didn't find the activities interesting. He did enjoy the physio sessions though. I went in every day and took him out for a change of scene. We had booked 3 weeks but I brought him home after 2. There was no-one there to say goodbye to us when we left.
Thankyou so much for taking the time to review Rush Court and for your feedback. As a team we take these reviews very seriously and are very disappointed to read that your husband's stay was not without issues. Your comments will be immediately shared with the care, catering and social engagement...
My mother transferred to Rush Court from short term respite care elsewhere but was previously living independently at home so this was a big change for her. She is now living at Rush Court. The welcome and first few weeks have been very warm and positive during this transition. Rush Court itself is an amazing residence - the landscape and gardens quite stunning and the home has a very calm feeling. All the staff have been very kind supportive and if needed pro active in offering mum support. The food is of a high quality as is the physio she has been offered. Very happy :-)
happiness, nourishment and entertainment!
Until a recent period of ill health, Mum has enjoyed the facilities, activities, and beautiful rural location of Rush Court. She loves the garden and enjoys walking in it on a daily basis. The staff and management are all caring and highly professional; they always 'go the extra mile' to be helpful and supportive to me and other family members, especially during Mum's current period of ill health.
Rush Court is a welcoming place that feels like home. It is always a pleasure to visit, noting that its peaceful out-of-town location might be a little inconvenient for visitors who are reliant on public transport.
She died just before Christmas after a brief illness just short of her 98th birthday, having been nursed devotedly by the staff until the end. So much so that I found a note by her bedside written about two days before she died in a very wobbly hand, saying "I want to thank all the nurses and carers who were help to me - it has been a happy time. Love to you all"
Grateful thanks from all our family...
Thank you for this wonderful review of Rush Court and our wonderful team, who had the privilege of caring for your mother, and getting to know the extended family. Your Mother will be missed sorely by the team but remembered fondly. The handwritten left by your Mum and found by you after she passed away, is one of the greatest testimonials we could receive.
A very good variety of activities are arranged. There is also a good selection of culinary options.
I am very grateful for the care (in the real sense of that word) which is provided.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this review and feedback. We are pleased that you when you had to make the decision along with your mum, that it was time to move into long-term care, that you chose Rush Court/our team to care for her. It is good to hear that you have found the...
My mother-in-law has lived at Rush Court (in the nursing wing) for just over 2 years now. The staff are all wonderful and show so much care and affection for all the residents. This includes not only the nursing and care staff but all those who work there including management, catering, and maintenance teams. The activities team are wonderful and comes up with many varied and wonderful activities for the residents, most of which are provided in the home, but some of which involve trips out. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your views/feedback with us, about the care we as a team provide, including non-clinical colleagues, it's lovely to read /hear and will help us to continually improve and provide areas where we perhaps need to focus on. We are pleased that we can support/care for your loved one and that you have trust in us to do so.
I have just moved my Mum into Rush Court, only a few days prior to Christmas. The staff have all been lovely and it already feels like Mum has been there for longer than she has. The room is very nice and clean. There has been quick care and nursing care for Mum whenever needed. So far, I have been pleased we chose Rush Court for Mum and she seems content.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this really positive feedback. We are pleased that your mother has settled in so quickly, and that you chose and trusted Rush Court and the team, to care for your mother.
I rate the home and the staff very highly. They are helpful, attentive, and very caring. The accommodation is first class and so is the food. And they go to great lengths to put on things to entertain the residents every day. They are also very courteous to family members and great at remembering who we are by name. I can highly recommend the home. I suppose the only slight downside is the price but that seems to be fairly in line with other similar homes.
Thanks for taking the time to provide us with a review of your experience of Rush Court and the care we provide to your loved one. I will share this feedback with the team accordingly, as it is always nice to hear they are doing a good job and appreciated.
