Wonderful care including rehabilitation and physio. Came in as 'end of life' from the hospital in March, and left in May to return to independent living alone. Thank you.

Reply from Catherine Lines, Clinical Director at Rush Court

Thank you for such a positive review, we are very lucky to have a wonderful team including physiotherapists who have assisted in achieving this wonderful outcome.

My mother has recently arrived at Rush Court in very difficult circumstances. The staff have been faultless in doing all possible to enable her to settle. So clean, bright, excellent food. Stunning gardens. We are both impressed and immensely grateful.

From the moment we first made contact with Rush Court to when Mum passed away every single member of staff have been so very caring, kind and helpful to her and all members of the family. They made her last couple of weeks a pleasant and peaceful end to her life. We will always be grateful for their support, kindness and professionalism at this very sad time. Thank you for everything you've done.

Rush Court have cared for and protected my mother throughout the pandemic and I have felt her to be safe all this time. They have been clear regarding their visiting policy which has changed as needed and although I am very sad not to have been able to hug my mother, hold her hand or even to be with her for long stretches, Rush Court has helped us to maintain contact despite the increased pressures of running a care home.

Reply from Mary Lamont, General Manager at Rush Court

Thank you for your lovely comments. We have tried very hard during the pandemic to ensure communication between you and your loved ones continue and I hope our new visiting Pod will allow us next week to open up to visiting in a COVID safe environment

Mum was terminally ill and too poorly to come home when she went to stay at Rush Court. As a family, we found this very difficult due to the Covid restrictions put in place to keep residents and staff safe. Every member of staff we spoke to on the phone, through the window and when being Covid tested when mum reached end of life, were kind and thoughtful, as well as professional. This meant the world to us during extremely hard times. I know that mum was well cared for during her time at Rush Court and nothing was too much trouble. Mum's passing was dealt with in such a thoughtful manner and I am so grateful to the kind nurse who took the time to sit with me, listen to me waffle on and cry with me... You don't forget those acts of kindness. There were many staff members who made mum's time at Rush Court as comfortable as possible. Each nurse or carer that smiled or chatted through the window at me made a difference. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rush Court.

As a family, we were very impressed with the care provided not just to Mum, but also kind consideration to family members. Covid measures were kindly explained to us at the beginning of Mum's stay. All staff we came into contact with were really lovely and my overwhelming impression of the home was that it was extremely clean, comfortable, calm and welcoming. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rush Court to others.

My mother has been a resident at Rush Court for 4 years. Over this time we have been impressed with the level of professionalism displayed by all staff. More than that it is so lovely to be greeted in a friendly cheerful manner when you are visiting. This could be anyone from the cleaner to the manager. It helps make it feel homely. In normal times the level and variety of activities are very good. The highlights are those occasions when the staff and their families are included.
During the current pandemic when the news has been so frightening Rush Court has risen to the challenge. Yes, the restrictions have been significant but they have kept our families and the wonderful team of staff safe. This has to be commended.

I would recommend Rush Court wholeheartedly.

The home had a very high standard of care with friendly caring staff when nothing was too much trouble and any request was dealt with care and attention. The standard of hygiene is excellent. Plenty of entertainment for the residents and a professional manager who cares about her residents.

I was recently a resident at Rush Court. The manager came to the hospital to assess me and the whole process to admission was smooth. The room was well furnished, they even put a bird table outside my window. All the staff were caring and respectful and well-led and trained to a high standard. The manager and her team ensured that everything was in place for my return home. I would have no hesitation in returning if ever I needed care. You could really feel that the staff cared for your every need.

I decided to spend a fortnight at Rush Court to recuperate after three sessions in hospital and three doses of chemotherapy. I wanted a buffer between hospital and home where I could be free of noise and disturbance and with a caring, helpful staff. Rush Court has been a boon for me, providing a peaceful, well-heated, comfortable environment and I have been recovering fast in this sheltered environment.

My nana was at Rush Court in the last couple of months of her life. She needed nursing care. The staff, facilities, atmosphere and standard of care were excellent, meaning my nana could have a comfortable and peaceful final time in her life, which was with dignity and affection. This also helped me as I had complete trust in the care she was receiving.

I was in the nursing section, my room was excellent, well-appointed, clean a comfortable bed and recliner chair. There was a cloakroom attached. There were plenty of cupboards and a wardrobe. There was a door to the garden and view of bird feeders which were replenished every day. The gardens were delightful excellent paths and plants. The staff were always efficient helpful and smiling.

The menus were good. The staff made every effort to involve the resident in the activities. I benefited from my stay.
