My wife is treated with kindness, dignity and care and support is always on hand. The food is always of a high standard with good choices. Food and drink are always available throughout the day should the residents need any. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff who are always on hand to assist whatever the situation. Staff are very professional and diligent in carrying out their duties.

After becoming very ill our father urgently needed full-time end of life care. Wantage Nursing Home provided an excellent service from the initial contact and admission through to the final clearing of this room. All members of staff provided excellent care, day and night, not only to our father but also to family members and many visitors. Words are insufficient to express how good the home has been at a most difficult time. Wantage Nursing Home will always have our highest recommendation. Thank you very much.

My aunt moved here from London so that she could be near her family.

My husband moved into this nursing home in September 2017. He has now settled in and with the help of the staff, he is slowly adjusting. Whenever he has a problem they are always there to assist him. It is a wonderful nursing home, well-run and has excellent, who not only support my husband but myself and my daughter as well. I thoroughly recommend to other families.

We will always be indebted to the Wantage Nursing Home by Sanctuary where she spent the last four years of her life. They could not have cherished her more from her independent early days where they were always ready with a chirpy comment to the final decline when their tenderness and concern was so touching.

Thank you all for making her so special.

Generally, I have been impressed by the dedication of the staff and they seem to genuinely care. This makes a big difference to my father and he seems relatively happy as can be. Sometimes it is difficult to get through to the home, so if I return a call to the home, it can be difficult to understand what message was being communicated. However, in general, my father seems happy.

We just wanted to say thank you for the professionalism, compassion and total dedication of each and every member of the hard-working team at Wantage Nursing Home. Our beloved dad was looked after with such kindness, patience and empathy and was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. He enjoyed the ready smiles of his carers and their light-hearted humour. His room was bright and we were encouraged to personalise it with pictures and photos. Classic FM was turned on for him every day which he loved. The food was exceptional! We are also very grateful for the thoughtful consideration of us as a family. We were always warmly welcomed and listened to.

My mother was a resident from May 2015 to February 2017. She was treated with dignity at all times and was well cared for. It was clear that her carers knew her well and were able to meet all her needs.
The family were always made to feel welcome in the home.
She died in the home after a short illness. The kindness and compassion showed to her and the family at that time was exemplary.

We cannot thank the home enough fo all they did for her.

Moved my husband here from another local home. This home was less expensive and more local to me.

My nan was a resident in Charlton suite and had dementia. The compassion and care given by all staff during her short stay until her death was exemplary. I cannot praise them enough. They were kind and attentive to her every need. She was always kept clean and comfortable and they always welcomed us, her family, with support and kindness over a very difficult emotional time.

I have previously submitted a review about the excellent staff at Sanctuary Wantage. I would also like to give a review of the latest manager. She is the third manager since my husband became a resident and in my view, so far, seems to be the most approachable and caring. She has good rapport with staff, residents and relatives alike. I visit daily and look forward to her coming into the dining room at lunchtime.
