Ashley Park Care Home

I particularly like Ashley Park because it is a small home in beautiful grounds (well kept) I know most of the staff (permanent) and find them all very caring to my husband. I have already recommended it to a couple of friends for their relatives.

Ashley Park has been incredibly supportive of my mother since she first visited for respite in November last year and later from February when she returned as a permanent resident. My father has very recently passed away and the care and understanding shown to my mother by all staff has been exceptional.

Superb activities ladies.

Staff are extremely welcoming, helpful, friendly and caring. Good facilities, beautiful setting, immaculately clean.

My mother has been a resident of Ashley Park Care Home for seven and a half years. During that time, she has been consistently well cared for. Her needs are great as she is completely immobile and has no communication skills. The staff have been able to interpret her needs and make sure she is never in pain or ditress.

The last time this occurred it was rectified the following evening by an excellent staff member.

After being very ill, the staff have really helped my recovery.

My father is very well supported and enjoys his time in the nursing home. Nursing and technical support is 1st class and medical support works well. Catering is first class too. Overall, we are very pleased out father came here.

We attended the 100th Birthday of a relative and all members of our family were strongly impressed by the warmth of the care provided. The staff went to great lengths to make our relative feel special and the quality of the preparation by the events manager, the food by the kitchen staff, the individual attention given by the manager and all his staff was second to none. It is impossible to overstate the sincerity of the care. Genuinely outstanding. The good health and happiness of the residents were a testament to the staff. Well done to all concerned.

Every year fees increase well above inflation but without any improvements in standards. Resident now even have to pay for a telephone. Staffing levels are down below what is required and there is yet another new manager. (5th in 8 years).

Very pleased with the care and support that has been given to my mother since the first day she arrived at Ashely Park Care Home. The staff have been very good and always cheerful. The food is excellent. My family and I are sure that the care that our mother received has kept her alive.

Very pleased with the care given. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is treated with dignity and respect. All the staff show a very professional attitude and were always cheerful and caring towards residents and visitors. We the whole family consider ourselves very fortunate to have found such a special place for this elderly relative.

I was a senior SRN and have had a lot of experience in the care of the elderly. I am convinced that my friend has landed in a very caring home for terminal care and has been reasonably happy for the last two years, though is now tired but appreciates all that is done for her.

Having by now been in Ashley Park for six months, my mother is comfortable and relaxed. She frequently comments on the friendliness and kindness of members of staff. She enjoys her meals in the dining room or in her own pleasant ground floor room from which she has a beautiful view of the countryside. She's an active participant in and very much enjoys the program of activities provided in the house (though would enjoy this even more if some activities were scheduled occasionally at weekends). All in all, she has definitely benefited from her first six months at Ashley Park.
