Mum has stayed with you a few times now and it is wonderful for all the family to know that Mum enjoys her time with you. Thank you always.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your Mum is always welcome and we look forward to the next respite stay.
I cannot begin to express how excellent Brownscombe was in all areas. They helped expidite my father's move from hospital for end of life care, and this gave him the dignity and respect that he deserved for his final few days, in a place of clean, quiet and attentative sanctuary. The change in his levels of stress the moment that he arrived was palpable, and the kindness and understanding that he was shown made such a difference to him. Everyone at Brownscombe from management, care staff, nurses, cleaners and chefs were exceptional.

As soon as you enter Brownscombe there is a positive energy about it. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to your individual needs. My mother, who has advanced Alzheimers, has been at Brownscombe for more than three years. She has received very good care and I am very grateful to the staff for all the kindness with which my mother is treated. The carers and nursing staff show great respect and affection for her and look after her needs, personal and medical, very well. The management is responsive and helpful and our family are very impressed with all the knowledge and experience that the new clinical lead brings to her role. She has gained a great understanding of our mother's needs which is evident in the care she and her team provides. The wellbeing staff members are also excellent, providing a wide variety of activities for the residents and contributing to the positive vibe. I pay tribute to the kitchen staff for the quality of food that they provide, which my mother enjoys. I would also like to thank the cleaning and laundry staff for all they contribute.

His room is spacious and well appointed with all the facilities to make his stay as enjoyable as his condition will allow. Having to find a care home for a loved one is never an easy experience, but the moment you walk through the doors at The Brownscombe the staff and surroundings fill you with confidence that it is a very safe environment where the residents are given the very best of care. It is spotlessly clean, the staff, without exception, are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and are always on hand to answer any questions you may have. The food is excellent, the rooms are bright & airy, there are many varied activities for the residents to participate in and the resident care exemplary - what more could you ask for.
I feel confident that all thats done for her is without questions
Thank everyone for doing your best for my mother.
Thank you so much for your very kind words, I will pass this on to the staff concerned.
Brownscombe Lodge is a very attractive building in a superb location. Because of it's location up a hill, the air is always fresh and welcoming. My room was comfortable and well designed with a door opening onto the downstairs entrace so I could open it when weather was hot. The staff were very caring and anxious to please and were always friendly despite being super busy. Overall I would highly recommend Brownscombe. It feels very homely.
Thank you for your feedback, we are delighted you enjoyed your respite stay.
She felt as though it was her home, and the staff made her feel as it was.
The staff were always attentive and caring, and had a positive attitude.
Thank you for your kind review - we enjoyed having your sister with us. I will pass your comments on to the staff.
Nobody wants their loved one to be in a care home but every time I leave Brownscombe it is in the knowledge that my sister is being well care for. All the staff are welcoming to me, and I feel comfortable raising concerns with them and they are always positive and responsive.
The activity staff work hard to provide interesting things for the residents to do. They like to include families and friends in events and activities at the home which is also very welcome.
Thank you for your kind comments - I am delighted you are happy with the way we look after your sister. We will continue to enjoy seeing you here at Brownscombe.
My brother always looks very well kept with clean bedding, fresh clothes and he looks clean.
The meal choices are excellent.
Grounds and garden are lovely too.
Very happy.
Thank you for your feedback which I will pass on to the staff. The welfare of our residents is our top priority, I am glad your brother is enjoying his stay.
When we first went to look around Brownscombe we were very impressed with the greeting made by the staff and the cleanliness of the home! Out of the other homes that we looked at Brownscombe was our first and only choice! All the staff are so friendly, and are approachable if needed!
Thank you very much for this lovely feedback, we will ensure this is passed onto the team at Brownscombe.
If you have your love one in this home, move them. Resident was medicated without any reference to family or POA. Care levels were inadequate and visiting external service raised safeguarding concerns. Staff care reports inadequate and training very poor, movement and handle of residence very poor. Food and service hygiene very poor. Safety system not working properly and alarm calls ignored. Now moved and residency in another home and a completely different person. Don't be fooled by the 4* looks, high turnover in care and agency staff and residence left alone for long periods of time.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. At Brownscombe Care Residences, our priority is always the safety, dignity and wellbeing of the people we support. In this instance, the resident's needs changed significantly, and following input from external professionals, it was agreed that a more specialist...
"Brownscombe" The building, facilities and the amazing staff far exceed expectations. This is a friendly home from home environment. For patients who can, there is always a range of activities and wonderful events put on. The nursing care is exemplary, the cleaning staff and food are all cooked, and the premises is fantastic. Visitors are cared for too, and in emergency fit waters. They even fed me during my mother's last days. Her end of life care and my time were given in loving care & support. It was more than ever hoped for.
Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback. We carry out continuous extensive training and it is good to see the result has been so good for you.
We were very worried that she would be unable to adapt to a new home but due to the attention and care all of the staff have shown her and her beautiful surroundings she has settled in surprisingly well.
The staff at all levels are very welcoming, approachable and always keen to deal with any issues that arise quickly and efficiently, nothing ever seems too much trouble.
We are very much hoping this can be a permanent placement for our aunt as we are sure with Brownscombe's continued care she will be very happy there.
Thank you for your lovely review of Brownscombe Care Residency, your feedback is much appreciated
