Cedar Court is a purpose-built care home for the elderly offering residential, nursing and dementia care over three separate floors. All floors has its own dining room, activities area and lounge.

The “home from home” feel at Cedar Court is created by the dedicated staff who have been selected not only for their professional ability but also for their commitment to truly making a difference for the people in their care.

Resident’s rooms are spacious and feature en-suite facilities. The communal areas are at the centre of what makes Cedar Court a real community whether it be at meal times or when enjoying activities. There are no fixed visiting hours so friends and family can come and see residents at any time.

Activities and day trips are an integral part of the resident’s well being. The activities coordinator encourages and helps residents continue with existing interests and also introduces new hobbies. The minibus is used frequently to take residents on day trips near and a little further from the home.

The dining experience at Cedar Court boasts fine home cooking by a professional chef who has created a menu to reflect the interests and tastes of the discerning residents.

Respite care at Cedar Court is very popular and enables those wishing to experience what the Home has to offer before making a full commitment.

The care my mother is receiving is exemplary. She is 93 years old and is suffering with dementia but she is very happy in Cedar Court Care Home. She is well cared for, the food is good and her room well cleaned. Special recommendations please to one nurse, entertainments officer and the receptionist.

"Transformation"
When Mum first arrived at Cedar Court Care Home, she could hardly walk, struggled with using toilet facilities, rarely ate regularly and hardly spoke to anyone. Now, she can walk short distances unaided, talks to everyone and is putting on weight.

After struggling with my dad (91) living at home using 24-hour live-in care, plus external carers morning and night, we made the trepidatious decision to take him to a care home for a two-week trial. Thank goodness we did, it has changed everyone’s lives for the better. My mum (who is 89) and my siblings
and I were permanently anxious about Dad which was really impacting on our lives. Dad was very bored, as he was bed/chair bound and we couldn’t get him in a car for outings. Cedar Court Care Home in Cranleigh has changed all that, the staff are wonderful and so friendly. He is doing keep-fit, carpet bowls, quizzes and news catch-ups. He has found some new friends and has proved himself very popular with the lovely staff. As a family, we are delighted with how things have turned out and would highly recommend anyone considering a care home to try the two week trial. Needless to say, Dad is still there!

Dad has settled in well to Cedar Court Care Home after some previous challenging behaviour. Cedar Court has supported him and us with this. He is enjoying life here and as a family, this is wonderful to see. The activities are well-planned and thought out. The team have got to know Dad, activity providers,
carers and of course, the manager. We have found everyone to be caring and always happy to help. Our kids love visiting and are welcomed by all. We are so pleased to see Dad in a supportive, friendly community. Thank you.

We have only had two experiences of a care home but since my mum has been at Cedar Court Care Home, we have been so impressed by the amazing communication and care and support we, as a family, have been given. Mum seems very happy and although she isn't the easiest resident, we know that she is generally

My mother has been at Cedar Court Care Home for a year, the hardest decision I have had to make but seeing how the staff interact with her takes the sting away. A negative is that it is not homely, it lacks the softness and warmth of home, however, I can not praise the staff in the dementia ward enough.
I have seen them hugging my mum (when they didn't know I was there), reassuring her and joking with her and it moves me to tears. Dementia is such a cruel disease but they give her the support and care that will help her through. They are superb.

It was my mother's birthday, and we arranged for a visit only to be greeted by the manager and two staff with chocolate cake. When we arrived at my mother's room, although had only just woken after a nap was surprised by us all and singing happy birthday to her; after a short while and having cake,
she informed me that it had been a lovely time. The staff try very hard to give my mother a better quality of life, which I know is not easy as she has limited mobility and is not always aware of what is going on. Everyone always speaks to you on your visits, and the senior staff always informative of mum's progress and wellness.

My mother has been a resident at Cedar Court Care Home since her initial two-week respite care in September. She loved it so much, feeling like she was "on holiday in a hotel" that we felt confident to make it a permanent move. All the staff, from the manager to the nurses, assistants and entertainment
team, all bring that "family" feel with professional courtesy, patience, care and support for Mum so we couldn't be happier with her here. I have peace of mind knowing she is well looked after and surrounded by a new "family" who I can trust - so thank you Cedar Court!

From the first time we spoke to the manager of Cedar Court, we were put at ease. Our darling mum's room was re-decorated and made ready in record time. The room was made so welcoming and the staff were there to welcome her. They always made her feel so safe. My sister and I cannot express how wonderful

Caring, fun, kind and nothing is too much trouble. Vegetables are overcooked. Chiropodist disappointing/poor - toenails left rough and pointed corners.

My friend had four weeks respite care in Cedar Court Care Home in Cranleigh. The staff were wonderful and she was so well cared for. The food was always good and the room very nice with doors onto the garden. She is not very mobile so couldn't or didn't want to take part in activities. She could be
quite difficult but the staff still went out of their way to please her. I can't thank them enough.

Mum has settled very happily at Cedar Court Care Home and enjoys all the activities, especially the morning ones. Mum really enjoys her daily visit from the manager who is absolutely lovely to her and makes her laugh.
Another member of staff also treats my mum like a friend and she really likes his
company. The garden has been much appreciated for visits and for all special occasions - which Mum loves. Thank you lovely Cedar Court for everything.

My wife came to Cedar Court Care Home on 01/01/2017 and was very well cared for. Strange at first but it soon became home from home. I would visit at any time and take her out frequently, she would also come home overnight when well enough.
She had Parkinson's and Lewy body dementia and this was progressive.
She was excellently looked after with lovely meals and great entertainment. Excellent care home.

A very enjoyable week, just like having a good holiday.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Would have been nice to see more flowers but I guess having no rain spoilt that.

I count myself so lucky being here. I settled immediately, everything seems so right, I am totally content and look forward to every day. I believe the principal reason for this is due to the dedication and professionalism of all the Staff. Key to this is the individual manner, understanding and approach
adopted towards each resident and the dignity and respect with which they are treated.
Staff undertake their duties and responsibilities with care and enthusiasm. This applies throughout the organisation and encompasses nursing staff, care staff, catering, activities, housekeeping, maintenance and administrative staff. Not forgetting, of course, management who, by their example, set the tone and direction for the functioning of the home in a caring, efficient and effective way.
My son has visited and dined at Cedar Court Care Home and met and talked with the manager. He has, therefore, experienced the home first-hand and has the bonus of not having to worry himself about me.
