Cedar Court provided palliative care for my uncle, during an extremely emotional and difficult time for our family. Cedar Court could not have been more thoughtful, caring and supportive to my uncle and our family as a whole. I could not thank them enough.

My Dad has just passed having spent 8 months at Cedar Court, Cranleigh. He had Dementia and eventually died from that condition. The care he received from the Staff at Cedar Court was kind, patient, and carried out with smiles.
There felt like a genuine affection for my Dad and the other fellow sufferers, by the Staff.

I can’t name the individual, but one person, in particular, was very kind to my Dad during his stay and kind to me at the end and throughout; I can only thank her from the bottom of my heart.

Following a recent operation and my husband's passing, I decided to have two weeks of respite care in Alexandra Wing of Cedar Court Care Home. I have nothing but praise for the care and attention I am receiving. It is proving to be just the rest I was so badly needing, and I can only thank all the staff for the care I am receiving.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care my husband received at Cedar Court during the last year of his life. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times by all members of staff and all his needs were anticipated and met with kindness and gentleness. My family and I were always made to feel welcome and cared for when we were there.

I cannot praise the service supplied by the team at Cedar Court enough. This was an unexpected stay with me calling at 9 am on a Monday morning enquiring about spaces. The whole team moved swiftly to admit Mum the same day. She started with nursing care before transferring to residential. All the staff, whether front of house, admin, nursing, care or cleaning always smiled and were super helpful. Thank you all.

I stayed at Cedar Court Care Home after being a patient in hospital for two months where I had lost two stone, immobile and quite depressed.
I received a very warm welcome from the management and staff who had even hung a canvas of my grandchildren on the wall to make me feel at home! My recovery started immediately.
My care was superb during my six-week stay! All the staff were extremely kind and supportive. At first, I needed quite a lot of nursing care but I was always treated with respect and dignity. I soon gained the confidence to become more mobile and independent again whilst being encouraged and supported by the staff.

My relatives and friends were made to feel very welcomed whilst visiting. We were able to sit in the reception area or in the garden which was very relaxing, having been confined to a hospital room! Needless to say, I soon began to gain weight by eating home-cooked meals three times a day and snacks and drinks were provided throughout the day. Very grateful. Great place!

My stay at Cedar Court Care Home was a new experience which proved to be enjoyable and fun with kind and helpful staff, great activities, lovely outdoor space for walking and getting fresh air in a garden with colourful plants to brighten one's day. The food was varied and could be ordered according to one's choice and the delivery of hot drinks to my room was much appreciated. The staff were friendly, kind and remembered each person's name. The management team were lovely and supplied me with a TV and a Rotalla walking device. My stay was a positive experience.

The care my mother is receiving is exemplary. She is 93 years old and is suffering with dementia but she is very happy in Cedar Court Care Home. She is well cared for, the food is good and her room well cleaned. Special recommendations please to one nurse, entertainments officer and the receptionist.

Five stars.

"Transformation"
When Mum first arrived at Cedar Court Care Home, she could hardly walk, struggled with using toilet facilities, rarely ate regularly and hardly spoke to anyone. Now, she can walk short distances unaided, talks to everyone and is putting on weight.

All staff are super friendly. What's not to like?

After struggling with my dad (91) living at home using 24-hour live-in care, plus external carers morning and night, we made the trepidatious decision to take him to a care home for a two-week trial. Thank goodness we did, it has changed everyone’s lives for the better. My mum (who is 89) and my siblings and I were permanently anxious about Dad which was really impacting on our lives. Dad was very bored, as he was bed/chair bound and we couldn’t get him in a car for outings. Cedar Court Care Home in Cranleigh has changed all that, the staff are wonderful and so friendly. He is doing keep-fit, carpet bowls, quizzes and news catch-ups. He has found some new friends and has proved himself very popular with the lovely staff. As a family, we are delighted with how things have turned out and would highly recommend anyone considering a care home to try the two week trial. Needless to say, Dad is still there!

Dad has settled in well to Cedar Court Care Home after some previous challenging behaviour. Cedar Court has supported him and us with this. He is enjoying life here and as a family, this is wonderful to see. The activities are well-planned and thought out. The team have got to know Dad, activity providers, carers and of course, the manager. We have found everyone to be caring and always happy to help. Our kids love visiting and are welcomed by all. We are so pleased to see Dad in a supportive, friendly community. Thank you.

We have only had two experiences of a care home but since my mum has been at Cedar Court Care Home, we have been so impressed by the amazing communication and care and support we, as a family, have been given. Mum seems very happy and although she isn't the easiest resident, we know that she is generally happy but most importantly, she is safe. We would all like to say a huge thank you for your commitment and care.

My mother has been at Cedar Court Care Home for a year, the hardest decision I have had to make but seeing how the staff interact with her takes the sting away. A negative is that it is not homely, it lacks the softness and warmth of home, however, I can not praise the staff in the dementia ward enough. I have seen them hugging my mum (when they didn't know I was there), reassuring her and joking with her and it moves me to tears. Dementia is such a cruel disease but they give her the support and care that will help her through. They are superb.

During Mum's time at Cedar Court Care Home, my family found the staff to be caring, welcoming and always happy to engage. Both the manager and deputy manager kept us informed and encouraged a friendly and professional atmosphere which filtered down to the staff and throughout the home.

My mother has been a resident at Cedar Court Care Home since her initial two-week respite care in September. She loved it so much, feeling like she was "on holiday in a hotel" that we felt confident to make it a permanent move. All the staff, from the manager to the nurses, assistants and entertainment team, all bring that "family" feel with professional courtesy, patience, care and support for Mum so we couldn't be happier with her here. I have peace of mind knowing she is well looked after and surrounded by a new "family" who I can trust - so thank you Cedar Court!

From the first time we spoke to the manager of Cedar Court, we were put at ease. Our darling mum's room was re-decorated and made ready in record time. The room was made so welcoming and the staff were there to welcome her. They always made her feel so safe. My sister and I cannot express how wonderful each and every member of staff were. We will always be so very grateful.
