My friend had four weeks respite care in Cedar Court Care Home in Cranleigh. The staff were wonderful and she was so well cared for. The food was always good and the room very nice with doors onto the garden. She is not very mobile so couldn't or didn't want to take part in activities. She could be quite difficult but the staff still went out of their way to please her. I can't thank them enough.

Mum has settled very happily at Cedar Court Care Home and enjoys all the activities, especially the morning ones. Mum really enjoys her daily visit from the manager who is absolutely lovely to her and makes her laugh.

Another member of staff also treats my mum like a friend and she really likes his company. The garden has been much appreciated for visits and for all special occasions - which Mum loves. Thank you lovely Cedar Court for everything.

My mother has been a resident at Cedar Court Care Home for four months. The staff and management have gone the extra mile to settle her in and make her stay a "home from home".

As my mother is keen to keep reminding me, the home "really could not do more to help her".

Reply from Nimmy Markson, Business Development Manager at Cedar Court Care Home
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so pleased to hear your mother's feedback, it is a real joy to have her here with us. She is a very gifted lady in arts and crafts, she especially enjoys the activities we put on here at Cedar Court and is making many friends.

Kindest regards, Nimmy.

My wife came to Cedar Court Care Home on 01/01/2017 and was very well cared for. Strange at first but it soon became home from home. I would visit at any time and take her out frequently, she would also come home overnight when well enough.

She had Parkinson's and Lewy body dementia and this was progressive. She was excellently looked after with lovely meals and great entertainment. Excellent care home.

Dear Tom

A very enjoyable week, just like having a good holiday.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Would have been nice to see more flowers but I guess having no rain spoilt that.

Will definitely recommend and hope to go back sometime.

Review from Bernard P (Resident / Service User) published on 23 August 2022 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I count myself so lucky being here. I settled immediately, everything seems so right, I am totally content and look forward to every day. I believe the principal reason for this is due to the dedication and professionalism of all the Staff. Key to this is the individual manner, understanding and approach adopted towards each resident and the dignity and respect with which they are treated.
Staff undertake their duties and responsibilities with care and enthusiasm. This applies throughout the organisation and encompasses nursing staff, care staff, catering, activities, housekeeping, maintenance and administrative staff. Not forgetting, of course, management who, by their example, set the tone and direction for the functioning of the home in a caring, efficient and effective way.

My son has visited and dined at Cedar Court Care Home and met and talked with the manager. He has, therefore, experienced the home first-hand and has the bonus of not having to worry himself about me.

Overall Experience
My mother had been living at Cedar Court Care Home for three years up until her death in December. For most of that time she lived in the residential wing but a stroke in October meant a three-week stay in hospital, from where she was discharged to Cedar Court's nursing wing.
I believe that my mother was very content with her life at Cedar Court. She appreciated having her own direct access to the garden. Even after the start of the pandemic she never doubted that it was the right place for her. She made friends with other residents and had easy relations with the care staff. She particularly appreciated the efforts made to add variety through new activities during lockdown.

After her stroke, Cedar Court staff worked very hard to do the best they could for her in many different ways. I was very impressed and remain grateful for the respect and care with which they treated her and for the ways in which they helped me at this difficult time.

Reply from Pamela Sharman, Business Development Manager at Cedar Court Care Home

Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to have your mother in our care, she really got on well with all the residents and took part in many of the activities, she particularly loved the art class and produced some lovely work of her own.

Kindest regards to you and your family from all of us here at Cedar Court.

My husband was very frail following a bad stroke when he was admitted from hospital. Unfortunately, he only lived for four days so was unable to avail himself of the fine facilities and activities in Cedar Court Care Home.

Everyone was very kind and caring to him, and also to me and I would certainly recommend to friends. I would have liked to have seen more green vegetables though.

The staff have always been helpful and considerate. The telephone is answered promptly and unless there are problems I am connected with my wife promptly.

This is my first experience with a care home but my granddaughter, a paramedic, rates them very highly and she has visited hundreds.
