Cedar Court is a purpose-built care home for the elderly offering residential, nursing and dementia care over three separate floors. All floors has its own dining room, activities area and lounge.

The “home from home” feel at Cedar Court is created by the dedicated staff who have been selected not only for their professional ability but also for their commitment to truly making a difference for the people in their care.

Resident’s rooms are spacious and feature en-suite facilities. The communal areas are at the centre of what makes Cedar Court a real community whether it be at meal times or when enjoying activities. There are no fixed visiting hours so friends and family can come and see residents at any time.

Activities and day trips are an integral part of the resident’s well being. The activities coordinator encourages and helps residents continue with existing interests and also introduces new hobbies. The minibus is used frequently to take residents on day trips near and a little further from the home.

The dining experience at Cedar Court boasts fine home cooking by a professional chef who has created a menu to reflect the interests and tastes of the discerning residents.

Respite care at Cedar Court is very popular and enables those wishing to experience what the Home has to offer before making a full commitment.

My mother had been living at Cedar Court Care Home for three years up until her death in December. For most of that time she lived in the residential wing but a stroke in October meant a three-week stay in hospital, from where she was discharged to Cedar Court's nursing wing.
I believe that my mother
was very content with her life at Cedar Court. She appreciated having her own direct access to the garden. Even after the start of the pandemic she never doubted that it was the right place for her. She made friends with other residents and had easy relations with the care staff. She particularly appreciated the efforts made to add variety through new activities during lockdown.
After her stroke, Cedar Court staff worked very hard to do the best they could for her in many different ways. I was very impressed and remain grateful for the respect and care with which they treated her and for the ways in which they helped me at this difficult time.

My husband was very frail following a bad stroke when he was admitted from hospital. Unfortunately, he only lived for four days so was unable to avail himself of the fine facilities and activities in Cedar Court Care Home.
Everyone was very kind and caring to him, and also to me and I would certainly
recommend to friends. I would have liked to have seen more green vegetables though.

The staff have always been helpful and considerate. The telephone is answered promptly and unless there are problems I am connected with my wife promptly.
This is my first experience with a care home but my granddaughter, a paramedic, rates them very highly and she has visited hundreds.

My mother has been at Cedar Court for nearly three years. For most of this time, she has been happy and the care has been good. There was a fall in standards two years ago and the home had a succession of managers which was very unsettling and contributed to the fall in standards. Things have improved
considerably since then. The first lockdown last year was dreadful (residents confined to rooms 24/7). But this has also improved and activities and communal calls have helped this awful year. The effort to continue with visits from senior managementhas been most appreciated and helped greatly.

My brother and I looked at the home in January 2020 and like it immediately as a home for our aunt for whom we jointly hold the LPA. Nothing that has happened since has altered our opinion - quite the contrary as our aunt is obviously happy and well cared for. Delighted to learn that all staff are now
