Very good all round, staff always nice and did their best for my mother. The night staff were very good professionally and when there were any problems they would keep me informed.

I felt everyone cared.

What can I say? Words alone cannot describe the amazing quality of care my mother received at Cedar Court.
Everybody - the managers, the care assistants, the nurses, the activities providers, the receptionist, the odd job man, the cleaners, the cooks, – everybody was always smiling and willing to listen.
I was always welcomed and made to feel important. The staff had time for me and treated Mum like the special individual she was.
She was only a resident for a few months but was very happy during this time.
Mum was well looked after in every aspect. She was never neglected and all her needs were attended to. When she became bedridden the staff continued to give her loving care and frequently checked on her to make sure that she was ok.
She was always clean and presentable and treated with such dignity and compassion.

I know she was in the best place for care when Alzheimer’s cruelly took her away from the world.

My mother lived in Cedar Court Care Home for 16 months and she was cared for very well. Her room was lovely with large doors opening onto the garden, varied activities were offered every day, the staff were very kind, patient and caring and the manager knows the residents well.
The home allows residents to personalise their rooms with their own furniture and pictures which was very important to Mum.
I was able to visit Mum for many hours every day and was always offered refreshments.

I recommend this home for both respite and residential stays.

We as a family have just celebrated our mothers 90th and we held a small tea party at the home. The manager came in on his day off to ensure all our family were shown to the lounge where we held the party, the chef provided the food and the staff ensured mum was ready even though she can be temperamental. We had a fantastic day and although mum cannot remember it, it is a memory for the family. I have to say that since mum moved into the home two years ago, the home has been fantastic with all mums needs. The manager is an asset to the home, he has empathy and is compassionate and you can approach him on any concerns. I rate Cedar Court and the staff very highly and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a care home for their relatives. Check out Cedar Court you won’t be disappointed!

Thank you to the manager and all the staff.

As I approach my twilight years, and in view of some of the recent negative reports in the press about care home, I thought it prudent to check out homes in my area. I was no impressed with what I say until I went to Cedar Court Care Home on the edge of Cranleigh in Surrey. I decided to book in for a few days respite to see if it was as good as it appeared.
The accommodation was spacious and well furnished with comfortable furniture including the en-suite wet room and toilet. The large windows have pleasant views over the gardens and country surroundings.

The management and staff were very helpful, pleasant and cheerful, in fact very caring at all times. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and residents can choose to eat in the restaurant, or the bistro coffee/tea shop or served in their room. I could not find any fault, in fact, it would not be stretching it too far to compare it with a five star hotel. When it is time for me to shuffle off this mortal coil I want to do it from Cedar Court Care Home.

I am very happy with Cedar Court taking care of my husband. The management team and staff are all fairly young. The home is managed in a friendly and efficient manner.

The arranged activities and outings are second to none, with much thought and variety to suit most residents.

From my very first visit, when I called to inquire about a place for my mother-in-law, I was met by friendly and informative staff. When my mother-in-law moved into the home she was greeted by friendly staff who made her feel welcome. It is the caring and cheerful staff which make this home so special. I knew that my mother-in-law will be safe and well cared for during her short stay in Cedar Court.

The care given to my mother in her last days was second to none. The home is extremely comfortable and up to date. The staff could not have been more caring and attentive. The consideration given to family and visitors was also wonderful. It was a great comfort to us to know Mum was looked after so well before losing her.

Overall Experience

My sister has been a resident since about March 2003. She is extremely well cared for and is particularly grateful for the classes which she attends. The activities leader goes to tremendous trouble to find out what interests the residents have and then takes trouble to make sure he gives all these activities which all the residents enjoy but they are not compulsory. The activities leader is, therefore, extremely popular with all the residents.

My uncle only came for respite after breaking a hip from a fall. His confidence and strength were at its lowest. The carers at Cedar Court were brilliant. A lot of activities to do and lovely food.

My uncle is now living in his own place with amazing confidence and the strength to look after himself.

My mother has been a resident for 3 years at Cedar Court Care Home before she died recently. She was very happy there and was well cared for and joined in all the activities which were brilliantly organised by the activities coordinator.

In her last few weeks when mum was ill, the care she received was outstanding - she was treated by all the staff with love, respect and dignity. I would also like to thank the manager and his staff for the care and support they gave to me at the time.

Myself I find coming to see my friend the staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing seems a bother to the carers as I have seen they really are helpful to the residents. Nothing seems to deter the staff in what they do. My view is they are well looked after as residents.

Cedar Court was a place of respite in October - November for my dad. All the staff were extremely caring, helpful and welcoming. There was a family atmosphere about the place and his room was comfortable - a home from home. Dad enjoyed the activities provided, especially the Fashion Show. He was full of praise for the food, the staff, activities and his time spent in Cedar Court.

My uncle is very happy at Cedar Court where he has been for over 4 years, but I think it is too expensive and do not see the justification for 7.5% increase. When you consider what the inflation rate is.
