I am quite happy with the way my son is looked after, except sometimes we lose his clothes. I would also like him to go on more outings that did not include the pub.

I'm recommending this home
The care provided is brilliant. My husband has only moved in recently and I feel like he is in very good hands. Staff are great and always very helpful. There are many stimulating activities for the residents.

There appears to be plenty of activities should he wish to join in.
We are exceptionally pleased with the Physio team.
There are minor things we would like to see change but overall I would certainly recommend Wingham court.

In 2009, my mother was discharged from hospital with a high-level spinal cord injury. She chose Wingham Court Care Home because they have in-home Physio and Occupational Therapy Facilities. Daily exercises with the team helped her regain her ability to walk. A great achievement at 89 years. The skill and commitment of the staff enabled her to surpass all expectations of improvement by the RNOH SCI Unit. Nursing care for her SCI condition has been excellent and well understood. The home even had a Community Laison Sister down from Stanmore on several occasions to do training for SCI residents. Our family had total peace of mind regarding our mother's care and well-being.

It was my first visit. I found the place lovely, in an idyllic area. The rooms are spacious. The staff were extremely helpful and caring. The atmosphere was very pleasant with plenty of facilities.

Meet the Team (4)

The team at Wingham Court Care Home work incredibly hard to make the residents feel safe and cared for. The staff take pride in the work they do and care very much for all our residents. We are like a big family here!

I have been Unit Manager at Wingham Court since 2018, and I joined Bupa in 2016. I began my career as a pre-registered nurse until I got my NMC PIN in February 2017.
Then, I became a registered nurse/staff nurse from 2017 to 2018, until I became a Unit Manager.
I am an overseas nurse, recruited and sponsored by Bupa from the Philippines. I have experience in Adult/Critical Care Nursing in the Philippines, which helped me pursue a career in the care home sector in the UK.
Being able to make a difference in someone's life and to be part of their journey encourages me to continue my career in Care Services. I enjoy seeing the positive impact of the care we deliver in Wingham Court, to both our residents and their families.
I have been living in the UK since 2016. My family is back home in the Philippines and my husband just recently joined me in the UK last year. I live local to Wingham Court.
If I'm not working, I enjoy going out for walks or going to places around the UK with my friends. I like to try new adventures on my travels. I am a coffee lover and I enjoy trying different cuisines.

My career at Wingham Court began in 2017, I took a short break in service but returned to work in 2023. I have been in my role as Senior Activity Co-ordinator since the beginning of 2024.
I initially joined Wingham Court as a Care Assistant. I have completed several courses over the years to progress my knowledge and skills to support my development. One role that I experienced was Mental Well-Being Co-ordinator, working closely with residents who live with Dementia.
I moved to the UK from the Philippines, and back home I was working with the Squadron Director of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, assisting and promoting the safety of life and property at sea - to help protect the marine environment. We also supported community events and search rescue operations. It is in my nature to care for people, and it was my job to take good care of civilians for their safety and I was there to support them in whatever they needed.
I also studied Care back home, I completed my training in hospitals. I took good care of both my Grandparents and my Dad. Caring is my passion and I love making a positive difference in people's lives.
I enjoy working alongside my Care Services team very much. I go home feeling proud each day that I have made our residents smile and led fun activities for everyone to join. Making a difference is my inspiration.
I was born in the Philippines, in a place known for its clean and clear water, with numerous wonderful waterfalls - called Libacao Aklan. I am one of six children. My late dad was the former Chief of Police in my hometown while my mom had a little trading business.
I love fashion, and I used to participate in beauty pageants. I also love singing, in fact, I was a vocalist in a band and performed in front of a big crowd back home. Some of my hobbies are DIY, reading books, Zumba (I am a licenced instructor) inspiring others and promoting physical, social and mental wellbeing. Lastly, I am a rising digital creator on the Metaverse social media platform.

I began my career with Bupa in 2021, beginning as a Bank Nurse at Wingham Court and working up to becoming a full-time Registered Nurse.
While I was completing my degree in Nursing, I carried out two placements at Wingham Court as part of my course. Once I had finished my studies, I worked in a Neuro Hospital to gain more experience, but I always knew I wanted to come back to work at Wingham Court.
I enjoy working alongside my Care Services team very much. Every day at work is different and I love making a difference in people's lives.
My hobby is tennis, both playing and watching. I like travelling, and working at Wingham Court allows me flexibility in my working hours to ensure I have a good work/home life balance. I am married and have a little boy, Raphael, who is almost 21 months.
