From the moment we visited Downsvale there was a feeling of home, genuine care and support. A lovely family atmosphere. Everyone on duty smiled and said hello when we dropped in unannounced. Downsvale doesn't boast bells and whistles but genuine car and consideration at all touch points. Sadly our father
was only there for a short while before sadly passing. The staff and owners could not have been kinder and gave us plenty of time.

Management and nursing staff are caring and listen to you. Care staff get on well with mum and understand her. Food and entertainment are always good. Mum especially looks forward to her physio sessions. Family and friends are always welcomed.

Hacing no experince of a care home. I have found that my husband is looked after extremely well and the nursing care is outstanding. I am very happy with the care my husband is receiving. He is always clean and tidy and well dressed. The meals are well cooked, especially for a person with dementia.
The staff are very pleasant and will ensure any questions I have regarding my husband.

Homely environment. Caring staff. Dedicated management. Nursing care is good and proactive. Liaison with other health and care professionals is good. Time taken to get to know residents well. Meals could be a little more varied.

Dad's time at Downsvale was approximately 10 weeks. In that time we were amazed at how the staff helped him to adjust and how quickly they assessed his personality and the level of care he required. Every member of staff was incredible with the love care and respect they showed to dad and us as relatives.
Dad passed away peacefully with dignity and respect thanks to the wonderful care he received from the brilliant team at Downsvale. Thank you all so much.

I would highly recommend Donsvale Nursing Home for anyone looking for a caring and compassionate home for their relative. I have found the staff to be patient and kind with my mother. She is always in clean clothes and the variety of activities they have helps keep her happy and calm.

Managment and staff have been friendly, caring and supportive to mum and I. Her care has been targeted to meet her needs and I have been given regular updates when I visit and when I phone and I have been notified of any health issues arising. She seems settled and happy and enjoys lots of activities.
I don't feel bad about leaving her as I know she is being well cared for.

I have been visiting my friend at Dowensvale Nursing Home for about 14 years. I have viewed many positive changes since the current Director/Manager took over the home. The building has been decorated, and a decking built outside for warmer days. The building is secure and there are a variety of activities
for residents. Staff are friendly and welcoming and treat resident with care had respect. During the time that my friend was considered to be 'end of life' the staff were so considerate and kind which helped to alleviate some of the difficulties around their time - especially the Deputy Manager.

My mother has been at Downsvale since 2020. We are very happy with the care she has received, and the staff are so loving and kind. My mum looks so well and is always so happy and content. Her favourite activities are the singers that come in to entertain her. She's taught all the staff her favourite
songs, and they sing them with her every day.
