The staff and management are all incredibly friendly, supportive and smiley, they all do an amazing job of keeping our loved ones clean, fed, watered, groomed, stimulated, comfortable and most of all safe.
The care given is second to none, giving a home from home feeling.
Having a loved one with dementia
is so very hard, knowing that my father lives in this care home makes this difficult time for me as best as it can be, as the love and care he is given eases my pain.
I can’t thank them all enough.

Our parents have been residents for five months and counting, and have always been treated with courtesy and respect. I cannot speak too highly of the staff at Downsvale. From the first meeting, they were kind, concerned and caring. They not only were wonderful and patient with my husband who had dementia but would always ask after my welfare. I was happy to leave my husband in their care, knowing he was well cared
for gave me great peace of mind.

Extremely responsive management team - very willing to adapt the room to suit Mum before arrival. Very good and timely communication. All the staff are so kind, considerate and caring - call bell is always left with Mum and mostly very quick responses to calling. Mum's care needs were individualised
- adaption to supper time, discussed preferred bedtime around staff handover. I would have no hesitation in recommending this extremely kind team to care for your relative.

Nothing is ever too much trouble. Mum, although confused, speaks of how ‘lovely and kind’ everyone is to her. I could not ask for better care for Mum. Her face lights up when staff talk to her and give her such kind attention. For me this is priceless. Thank you.

I am delighted with the care and attention the staff and management at Downsvale have provided for my wife since she was admitted in May 2021.
She has settled nicely into her surroundings and she is treated with respect given the effects that severe dementia has caused.
Although a bit time consuming
it is good to see the necessary Covid tests are diligently carried out before entry can be made. A sure sign they are looking after their residents and staff alike.

Thank you all so much for what you do for Mum. She seems genuinely happy to be at Downsvale Nursing Home despite her obvious limitations.
I would especially like to commend the senior carer, a lovely lady who calls Mum princess and for her care and dedication.

My father requires full nursing care. He has lived at Downsvale Nursing Home for the last year. I have been impressed with the level of care and attention all the staff, who I have met, give to him. They got to know his likes/dislikes quickly, so they could help him to settle in and be comfortable.
I am kept informed if there are any concerns from the team. My father appears comfortable and well looked after.

My wife suffers from Alzheimer's and she has been at Downsvale Nursing Home for nearly two years and she has had good protection and care performed by the staff and management of the home. The whole of the home is geared up to assist and care for the residents and their needs and concerns.

Despite the lockdown over the past year, the staff rolled out the red carpet for my mother's hundredth birthday last September, which was enjoyed by all. Communication with the home is very good. Life has not been easy for anyone over the past year, and I am relieved she was in the best place possible.

My mother was admitted to the care home after a brief stay in hospital. It is difficult for me to give an honest description of the services provided. On the couple of occasions that I have had to call the staff, they're where all very polite and knowledgeable of my mother's needs.

My Mother is very happy and well looked after at Downsvale Nursing Home. The management and staff have been absolutely brilliant during the pandemic and done everything they can to allow me to visit my Mother in a Covid safe environment. The care staff are extremely kind and caring, so I feel reassured
that although my Mum is missing out on hugs from me and the family, she is still receiving a great deal of kindness and affection.

Deepa is a qualified Health Psychologist (Univ of Surrey) and is the Registered Manager at Downsvale Nursing Home since 2018. She deals will operational aspects of the business including the resident’s person-centred care, staff management and development and day-to-day running of the Nursing home. She is passionate about the well-being of her residents and is actively involved in implementing various technology-based platforms geared towards improving the well-being of her residents. Downsvale has a ‘Good’ CQC rating in all 5 domains and a 5 Star Food Hygiene rating. The home enjoys a strong local reputation of which Deepa is fiercely protective.
