Donwsvale Nursing Home has looked after my relative for the past five years. He is very happy there and the staff all treat him with the utmost respect and dignity. I chose Downsvale as there is always a happy atmosphere in the home, and the staff are all excellent.

The home has a warm and inviting atmosphere. All the team, whether nursing, support or housekeeping were polite and caring when looking after my father in the short time he was with them. They were keen to make him feel this was his home and help him settle in.

My mum has been here for 3.5 years. The staff are all really caring and work really hard to take care of all the residents. They are a great team and it is lovely to see the same friendly faces when I visit my mum which gives her continuity of care.

My mother has only been in the home for 3 days having come straight from hospital. All of the staff have been most welcoming and friendly and have gone out of their way to make sure I am okay and that Mum is safe and comfortable. Nothing is too much for them. Very pleased so far to know that Mum is
safe and being cared for.

Homely, caring nursing home. Mum is happy there and says the food is very good. At 94 this is the first time Mum has gone into a nursing home and her experience of this, I am very glad to say, is an extremely positive one. I feel I can leave Mum's care in their hands and not have to worry. Mum has told
me that the occupational health staff are excellent and they do their best to keep the residents entertained and occupied.

All the staff, without exception, were caring, polite, interested and welcoming, both to her and her visiting family. My brother was admitted quickly for palliative care after an assessment. He was in considerable pain and therefore making him comfortable was important to us. The staff and management were very good at caring and support. My brother was only in the home for twelve days before he died however he was
very well looked after during this period.

My stepfather was admitted into Downsvale Nursing Home after being diagnosed with lung cancer. In my view, he was well cared for by the staff and spent his final four weeks in comfort. The staff were very patient and caring. Even the two 'builders' (maintenance men) were so very kind to him.

My father moved into the nursing home last month. The carers are kind and caring to my dad and are always helpful and friendly. he is well cared for, I only wish all homes were this way. My family and I are so relieved he is here and is being looked after.

I find the staff helpful and friendly. They always bring me a cup of tea and cake. They leave me in peace with my cousin. I enjoy discussing with staff who have been here a long time. I am her nearest relative in England. The laundry destroys my cousin's skirts and tops. I buy new tops; she won't take
them because they will be ruined. Her brother is in New Zealand, aged 80, and phones her.
The new management seems brilliant.

I am warm, comfortable and well-fed. The carers are friendly, kind and good at their work. By choice I would, if possible, prefer not to be in a home but I would recommend Downsvale.

My mother was a resident for four years until she passed away. As a family, we feel so lucky to have found Downsvale Nursing Home. The staff are brilliant, they took such care and looked after my mother so very well. When she arrived at Downsvale, after being in the hospital, she wasn't in a good way
but with their wonderful care she gradually improved for a while. We can never thank Downsvale Nursing Home and their very wonderful and caring staff.

When we were searching for a care home for our mother, our number one choice was Downsvale, as we had previously experienced the care given there through an aunt and family friend. Mum was a resident for less than three months but during that period the kindness, care, attention and professionalism
shown to her by all the staff were outstanding and as her health deteriorated the staff provided warmth, understanding and support to my sisters and me that helped in our eventual loss of her.

I visited several care/nursing homes before selecting Downsvale. From my first point of contact, the management team made this new journey for our family incredibly simple, efficient and proactive, rare qualities indeed in these current times. I was kept informed of all developments between the hospital
and the care home at the point of discharge. The home is filled with caring, helpful and friendly staff from the care team up to management level. The accounts team held my hand through all the form filling, explaining everything clearly and succinctly. As a family we are all thrilled with the care our stepfather-in-law is receiving. The rooms, bathrooms and common areas are spotless. There is always a selection of refreshments easily accessible in his room with easy to pick up and hold beakers. The room is airy, spacious, light, a perfect temperature and all the facilities our step-father requires are catered for. Can call for updates anytime. Brilliant care home. Thank you.

Deepa is a qualified Health Psychologist (Univ of Surrey) and is the Registered Manager at Downsvale Nursing Home since 2018. She deals will operational aspects of the business including the resident’s person-centred care, staff management and development and day-to-day running of the Nursing home. She is passionate about the well-being of her residents and is actively involved in implementing various technology-based platforms geared towards improving the well-being of her residents. Downsvale has a ‘Good’ CQC rating in all 5 domains and a 5 Star Food Hygiene rating. The home enjoys a strong local reputation of which Deepa is fiercely protective.
