My father quickly settled into the Home; his health stabilised, and he has. outlived the assessment given to him by hospital staff prior to his entry to St. George's. This is due to the friendly, supportive, caring and attentive staff. There is a warm, communal feel to the place, which is cosy and comfortable, with news of gardens. There are plenty of activities for residents. Last Christmas the Home was attractively decorated, and birthdays. celebrated too. As far as possible, this seems very much a home-from-home, providing peace, practical and and personal dignity. Visitors are. always welcomed and queries readily answered by administrative and nursing staff. I recommend this home highly, it provides great care and peace of mind.

Mum came to St George's from hospital. She was very confused, lonely, unhappy, did not like change. She took quite a time to adjust from her old life since Dad had died and now she is settled, safe and happy. We both enjoy activities, the christmas was brilliant. The staff are great, always say hello and make us feel so welcome. Thank you to all the staff and management for doing such a brilliant job and caring for us all.

When life throws you a curveball and you unexpectedly need the help of strangers, you could not find a better team of people than those at St George’s to help. Every single member of staff, reception, housekeeping, carers, nurses and management go that extra mile. There are no words to express the compassion, kindness, patience and respect that everyone shows, not only to the residents but the visiting family too. Our wishes and concerns were listened to, and we felt so supported. For us as a family, we were comforted knowing that our dad was well cared for when we were not there. His personal care was exemplary, and his medical needs were met thoroughly. We also created some precious memories with the help of the entertainment team. We shall never forget and will be eternally grateful to these very special people who came into our lives, thank you.

This is by far the best home that my father has been in. The staff are amazing, and the level of care he receives is like that from family.
The menu is of high standards, and the staff offer drinks, biscuits and cake throughout the day.
The peace of mind of knowing he's being very well cared for is comforting in these difficult times as his Dementia takes its toll.
Daily activities of crafts, singing, dancing and petting animals are incredible. The staff captured beautiful photos of him and other residents engaging and participating. The weekly trips out to a multitude of locations for tea, cake and more are extremely well-planned and executed.

For my father, personally, he will be seeing out his last years living his best life. What more could we ask for? Absolutely Amazing Home!

My husband, who is 87 and has Alzheimer's, was moved to St George's six weeks ago after failing to settle down at another care home. The compassion and attention he has received at St George's have enabled him to adapt to a comfortable life with plenty of company and activity going on around him. I have been consistently impressed with the kindness and 'can do' attitude of all the staff and their determination to give him the personalised care appropriate to his mental and physical needs. Visitors are always made to feel welcome. The home feels like a well-run, friendly and happy organisation and I feel confident that my husband's life is as good as can be expected for someone suffering from this very difficult disease.

My mother has advanced dementia and has been a resident at St George's for six years. My brother and I and our families have always been so impressed by the care and thought that is taken with residents at St George's. From the clinical deputy manager who's amazing nursing care has kept mum alive through many medical emergencies, to the activities coordinator and her brilliant team who organise an enormous amount of activities, to the chefs who surprise Mum with amazing home made birthday cakes, to the lovely reception staff who always have a kind word, to the cleaning and laundry team who take so much effort, to all the many caring staff (too many to mention). We would recommend it to anyone looking for care for a loved one coming to end of life or with special caring needs. Thank you St George's for all you do.

Mum was a resident for nearly thirteen years. It is very well run, by approachable management. Very welcoming, we could visit whenever we wished. Over the years, as St George's became Mum's home, it became extensions of ours too. It has strong teams of really caring, highly professional carers and nurses. Support staff from all areas contribute greatly to the smooth and nurturing running of St George's. It has a very special activities department. It arranges many and varied outings. The department listens to the needs and wishes of the residents and responds accordingly. A variety of entertainers, singers and musicians visit. Special days throughout the year are always celebrated. Organised activities and clubs are arranged. For those remaining in their rooms, activities visit them. Everyone is included. St George's kindly, dedicated care and expertise enabled Mum to live the best life her illness would allow and we thank St George's from the bottom of our hearts.

Our dear mum lived here for thirteen years, as happily as her illness allowed. It has a warm, homely feel, caring staff, a fantastic activities department and an outside area with many courtyards, grass, opportunities to sit, stroll, listen to bird songs and tend a vegetable patch. We have been confident in the nursing care that Mum has received. She has been well looked after in a safe environment. Relatives are welcomed. Memories include Mum meeting Father Christmas, enjoying the delicious home cooked meals, going out to the pantomime and various garden centres, the many musical events around the home, celebrations of special occasions - including birthdays, St Patrick's Day, St George's Day, Chinese New Year etc. Also visits from the ballet, the pat dog, deer and pony, singing 'maybe it's because I'm a Londoner, down at The George and Dragon - St. George's 'pub'. I miss my mum and I miss visiting her at St George's, it became a part of my life as it did hers.

St George's genuinely care for their residents. They care for my Father's needs with dignity and are always on top of anything that might arise. My Father has settled at St George's which makes it easier on our family at a stressful and emotional time. Not only does the wonderful staff support the needs of my Father, but they also support us/family too. They have also gone above and beyond to find a chair suitable for my Father.

Absolutely fantastic, caring, compassionate, understanding, friendly, professional staff.
I wish I could name the carers that looked after my dad, as they were all fantastic. Would highly recommend this care home - it was a home-from-home experience.

A big thank you to the staff team at St George's Care Home for their dedication and professionalism. It is a relief for me to know that my wife is now receiving the level of care she needs that I was no longer able to provide in the friendly and kind environment that prevails at St Georges, in fact, due to the frequency of my visits I regard the staff that I now know as friends rather than carers.

My name is Andrea, and I am the Home Manager at St George's. Prior to joining St George's, I was Home Manager at Sutton Lodge, a smaller Bupa care home. I have worked in the care sector for 29 years, including 18 years as a registered nurse and 12 years in management roles within care homes.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in both NHS and care home settings, giving me a broad range of experience that has shaped the way I lead, support others, and deliver high-quality care. I am passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment where residents feel safe, valued and respected, and where colleagues feel empowered to provide the highest standards of care.

I believe in leading with kindness, honesty and respect. My door is always open, and I encourage residents, relatives and team members to come to me with ideas, questions, concerns, or simply for a chat.

I truly believe that great care homes are built through teamwork, strong relationships and a shared commitment to putting residents at the heart of everything we do. I am proud to be part of the team at St George's and to support the continued delivery of outstanding care for our residents and their families.
