I joined Bupa at St Georges in December 2021, I have got 20 years of experience in the care industry where I started as a carer and made my way up the ladder to the home manager position. I have previously managed another Bupa care home where we achieved an outstanding CQC rating for the home.
I hail from the beautiful island of St. Lucia in the Eastern Caribbean. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 10 years. I have worked in general medical and surgical nursing, operating room and Intensive care nursing, and community nursing and I am also a certified Midwife.
I worked with the NHS at East Surrey Hospital for almost 3 years and during the initial covid pandemic. I recently left there and joined this fabulous team at St Georges.
I have had a passion for caring from a young age, and I am happy to help in any way to ensure the health and happiness of our residents and their loved ones.
I started here as a financial administrator in March 2022 and have been working for Bupa for the last 9 years.
I am on hand for any support or advice in regard to any financial questions.
As a Receptionist, I am the first point of contact for all telephone calls and personal visitors to the care home, ensuring that all customers both internal and external are treated in a professional manner with respect and dignity.
With lots of care experience and empathy, I love to have dealings with the residents and their relatives.
After nearly 26 years in retail, working as an assistant manager, I decided to leave and do something different. I joined St Georges care home in January 2022 and I really enjoy working here.
I am originally from Poland. I finished my studies in sociology and started working in the catering industry for the last 14 years.
I have experience supplying meals to schools and have worked in Italian restaurants, pubs and hotels. I started working at St Georges Care Home in March 2020. I am passionate about food and love to cater for everyone’s needs.
I have worked as the activity coordinator at St George’s since June 2001. As a young girl, I trained in fashion journalism at the London College of Fashion in Oxford Street.
I have previously worked as a journalist in local newspapers. I used to write a music column called Sound Scene whereby I interviewed new up-and-coming bands in the local area. My other jobs include working as a nursery assistant for local childcare providers and I was also a civil servant, working for the Inland Revenue.
I love my job - it is varied and each day is vastly contrasting. I work with a very effective team who all bring different qualities and strengths to the department. Ultimately as a team, we all work together to enrich the resident’s lives which is of course our central goal.
I have been working as a maintenance operative for many years now and really enjoy my job.
