Jubilee House, based just off the high street in Godalming, is a purpose-built care home offering expert care for older people, including those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

The home features an array of communal spaces and beautiful gardens, perfect for catching up with loved ones and adding to the friendly feel of the care home. All bedrooms at Jubilee House are equipped with a basin and toilet, and residents are welcome to bring their treasured possessions to make their room feel like home.

When a resident moves into Jubilee House, the skilled team finds out everything they can about their experiences, interests, likes and dislikes, to produce detailed care plans that are personalised to their needs and wishes.

Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My father was a resident at Jubilee House for just over a year. He died there peacefully recently. He was very happy and relaxed at the home. He received excellent care from all of the staff. The atmosphere at Jubilee House is so positive and supportive and he felt he was at home. The focus on good
nutrition made a big difference in his overall health. Whenever we visited we were always made very welcome. Staff became part of our family. Obviously, I will miss my dad, but I will also miss all the great staff.

Mum moved into Jubilee House from the hospital. She has a lovely welcome and the nursing staff were amazing. Sadly it became apparent she would quickly be on end-of-life care but she was kept comfortable by the amazing staff.

Jubilee House was home to Mum for 2 years and 8 months. Mum settled in soon after arriving thanks to the attentive and caring nurses, carers and staff. We knew Mum was happy and content as when we visited she was always smiling and laughing. It was such a comfort to us knowing Mum was being cared for
to such a high standard. Without a doubt we made the right decision to move Mum into Jubilee House, who have a very good understanding of dementia. There are various activities every day which Mum joined in as and when she wanted to. The food is also excellent, cooked by very talented chefs.

My father has been a resident of Jubilee House for almost three months. He moved from another care home to be nearer to me. He has settled in very well and the staff have been very welcoming to him, making the transition easy. He is very settled and is enjoying all the help and assistance he gets, especially
with showering and shaving. He always looks well-presented and clean. He enjoys the food, all made by the chefs which looks very tasty. All residents have a choice of food at mealtimes with drinks.
Various activities go on in the home and residents can join in, as they wish. My father watched some cake-making recently and whilst he didn’t want to participate, he enjoyed eating the finished cakes!
My father's room is cosy and kept spotless, as is the whole home.
My impression is that it is a very well-run home. The manager and senior staff hold regular meetings with relatives. Care staff are friendly, hardworking and have the interests of their residents at heart.

It's very reassuring and comforting to know that my mother-in-law (wheelchair user with vascular dementia and Alzheimer's) is in the care of the staff at Jubilee House: The staff are enormously caring, very responsive to any request and seem to care as much for the residents family as the residents
themselves. We are hugely grateful to the manager and her teams for offering us this reassurance. We don't underestimate the challenges of running a Care Home, with recruitment, budgetary and operational stresses everywhere.
Last year my mother-in-law was home alone most of the time, watching tv. She was lonely and exhausted, despite having carers 3 times a day. Now she's invited to participate in activities every day (except when she's not in the mood, and they respect her wishes about this too), with lovely staff who really go out of their way to include everyone and make lives worth living.
The food is marvellous, every day.
We couldn't be more pleased.

My sister has severe learning difficulties - having caught pneumonia and been hospitalised at the start of 2022, her mobility suffered considerably and her care needs increased which meant she was no longer able to remain in her supported living environment. All parties involved from the NHS to the
local authorities we very helpful and proactive in finding a solution for her new needs. They settled on Jubilee House, where she has been a resident since March 2022. Whilst Jubilee House is primarily a dementia home they have met her learning difficulty needs remarkably well. I have confidence that she is in the right place and well looked after. The staff always seem to be very caring towards my sister and the management team are very dedicated and make sure that we are always kept up to date with news and events. A big thank you to all at Jubilee House your support is much appreciated.

My mum has been treated with respect and care during her time in the home. She is encouraged to participate in a wide variety of activities as much as she can. The food is of excellent quality and staff make sure my mum is eating properly. Staff are always very friendly and courteous when any of my
family visit and it is great that we can visit whenever we are able. The nursing staff regularly contact me to update me on any changes to mum's circumstances and are always happy to answer any questions which may arise.

My mum was very happy and settled for the last 18 months of her life in Jubilee House. The staff are amazing - friendly, caring and patient. They kept me fully informed of any issues relating to Mum with regular updates on her care package, which was especially helpful during Covid times when I was
unable to visit. Jubilee House is warm and welcoming, and I was quickly made to feel at home when visiting. There were often activities going on which Mum joined in sometimes, and there were events like Royal Ascot or the Queen's Jubilee when they had tea parties/dressed up. The staff really made an effort to get to know the residents personally, so I felt Mum was part of a big family. I felt the needs of the residents were well catered for and made to feel safe and happy. They were especially amazing on the day she passed away, giving myself and my aunt the time to be with her without intruding and were very respectful. Overall, I was very happy with Jubilee House.

After my late mother was a resident at Jubilee House receiving palliative care up until September 2020, both my father and I knew that this is where he wished to be should he fall I'll or become unable to care for himself.
Sadly after being diagnosed with terminal cancer in November 2021, we knew that
there would come a time that he would need care at the later stages of his illness.
Everyone from the customer relations manager to the nursing and care staff, to the chef could not have made my dad welcome or made him feel at home. Knowing all the members of staff due to Mum being a previous resident made the whole process so much easier for us.
When Dad was admitted as a resident, he was given the best palliative care throughout his remaining time, and with love and dignity, you could wish for your loved one.
I couldn't thank all the staff at Jubilee House enough and recommend them to prospective resident and their family.

My husband has been at Jubille House since December 15th 2021. He has settled and responded well to the very caring staff. Lockdown has made it quite difficult to visit him within the home, so sometimes we can only see him through his bedroom window. We are aware there may come a time when he does not
recognise us, but at present, he is always so delighted t see us, for which we are grateful. The support to us from the staff has been excellent.

Dad was transferred to Jubilee House directly from the hospital as he was too ill to come home. Since arriving at Jubilee House, he has dramatically improved under their wonderful care. All of the staff are so friendly and caring. I am so pleased he is at Jubilee House.

I always receive a lovely welcome when I visit the nursing home. The nurses always ask if I would like a drink, which is excellent. It gives you that homely feeling. All the nurses and staff are very efficient, excellent and cheerful doing their work. Its an excellent and very efficient nursing home.

Nealsen Veerasawmy

Job Title: Home Manager

After moving to England in 2008 I started work as a Carer for Care UK. The company offered a platform to deliver outstanding and person-centred care, alongside career progression opportunities.


I started as a Care Assistant, before working my way up first as a Team Leader, before doing my nursing training and becoming a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, before taking over as Home Manager.


My favourite part of each day is getting to spend time with the residents, chatting and having a laugh. Also, working with the other colleagues as a team towards a goal and being able to achieve it.


The support is available within Care UK and I thoroughly enjoy being a Home Manager.
