Our mother was a resident in Knowle Park Nursing Home for the last few months of her life. We have found the care and compassion of the staff exemplary. They are all well trained and respect the residents and their families. In these days of Covid-19 restrictions they are thorough and careful to protect the home and those who live there, but always friendly as they do so. My mother was very happy in the home. She loved the social contact after months of lockdown and often the staff had time to chat to her. She had a garden room and loved the view of the flowers. Sometimes a member of staff would take her around in her wheelchair. In the summer we could meet Mum outside under a pagoda.

If we had been unable to be at her side in her last hours we had been assured that a member of staff would have been there with her. Thankfully we were with her for her last few days, our time was then unrestricted which we are grateful for. Thank you to you all. We will always remember your care. Even the funeral directors commented on the care of the staff.

From the first time I visited Knowle Park when we chose a care home for Mum, I could sense immediately it was a truly caring environment and a place I know was right for her. I cannot thank the staff and management team enough for taking such great care of Mum. It has given me peace of mind knowing she is cared for in such a lovely environment.

As June was a month during the lockdown, and accurate across all areas review is difficult. Having an elderly, frail parent at Knowle Park during this difficult time, had been one less worry. I have had full confidence in the staff that the care of my mother has been done to the best of their ability. Communication between my mother and I has been good, and updates very thorough. I believe the staff's handling of issues regarding the virus has been exemplary.

During the covid pandemic, my mum has received the kindest care. Every effort has been made to make her feel secure and cherished. She could not have been in a better place. The care home has worked hard to keep relatives well informed about the covid measure they are taking within the home.

My family and I are so grateful for my husband being looked after at Knowle Park Nursing Home. Our judgements on some aspects are nil as visiting due to covid was not allowed. We could make very favourable judgements of his care and needs over the phone and get to know staff on facetime. His end of life care was so well managed by highly trained and caring staff. Little consolation for the confusion and distress he experienced with lack of visitors.

My experience with Knowle Park was a relatively brief one as my father-in-law, having suffered a stroke, was relocated from hospital to the home during the Coronavirus outbreak. He was a resident for two months before he passed away. My wife and I (and our entire family) cannot thank the manager and her staff more for their help during the most testing of circumstances. Although regular visits were not possible, they went great lengths to help us communicate with him by facetime until the end, which they ensured was peaceful and pain-free.

Throughout this difficult time, with no family or outside visitors allowed, my mother has continued to be happy and relaxed with the care and kindness of the staff. She has enjoyed the many and varied activities organised to keep the residents mentally and physically active. We are so pleased to be confident in her standard of care.

My wife was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease some 27 years ago and for the last 2.25 years has been resident at Knowle Park. Her daily care is not always easy to manage but she has received excellent care throughout her stay. All credit to the nursing and care staff, who together with the small management team have maintained an efficient and caring routine especially during these last 10 weeks of the coronavirus pandemic.

Throughout the pandemic, Knowle Park has been fantastic at keeping their residents safe. By refusing to take patients from hospitals, despite great pressure, they have protected all the residents there and have kept them all motivated with great care.

I just want to say that I have been very happy with Knowle Park since my mother has been in there. The quality, care and sympathetic attitude of all the nursing and all the other staff are excellent. I am very glad that having maintained a strict regime from the start of the pandemic, they are not one of the care homes infected by Covid-19.

My father has been a full time resident at Knowle Park for several years now. He is not the easiest person to deal with and I cannot believe the patience that the staff consistently show towards him. I think it’s a testament to Knowle Park’s amazing level of care and hygiene that to they’ve managed to avoid any cases of Covid-19.

My sister has been living here for some time, she has very much enjoyed her life here, and more recently, when she has been very unwell, she has been cared for in a kind and loving way.
I have had a lot of contact with the home over the years, and have been impressed with the level of care, and professional care.

More recently, I’ve been impressed with the way in which the staff have all worked hard to prevent Covid-19.

My Mum was admitted to Knowle Park in mid-February 2020. She was suffering from Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia with further underlying conditions. From the first enquiry to the office to the care given in Mum's last hours, the staff were fantastic. The home is in delightful grounds and is exceptionally well run with dedicated and professional staff. Everyone went out of their way to bring comfort and support to Mum and they were equally attentive and caring at visiting times (before the lockdown). In the last days before Mum died, my brother and I were given permission to visit, taking full precaution with PPE supplied by the home. I was very grateful that this could happen. I cannot praise the staff enough.

My mother has been a resident of Knowle Park for over two years. She has received a high standard of care, and we have great confidence in the nursing team who are reliable and professional. It's clear that staff development is a high priority. The friendly manner of the nurses and carers help to make the home a pleasant place for residents and visitors alike. The beautiful grounds and views are exceptional, and I often take my mother for a pleasant walk around the garden when the weather and her health permit. The staff team organise a good variety of activities for residents, and as relatives, we have been included in special events such as the summer garden party.

My mother was sent from hospital to Knowle Park for end of life care, without going back to her own home. This was all a terrible shock but the kindness and patience she has been shown, by all the staff, all delivered with smiles and humour, have made this distressing time much easier for her and us. She has been treated with respect and dignity.
Mum has settled in and feels safe now, knowing that her nursing needs can confidently be catered for.
Knowle Park has a lovely warm ambience. It is light, warm, scrupulously clean, with flowers everywhere and beautiful grounds with views to lift the spirits. It feels like a second home to me as I can and do pop-in frequently, often offered a cup of tea and always feel really welcomed.

I know that I can always speak to the staff at any time regarding mum and their attention to detail regarding her needs and care has finally enabled me to breathe and let myself relax a little more knowing she is in the hands of people I have come to trust.

At only 70 years old, Mum was very poorly and we knew this would be her last home. That in itself is hard to come to terms with. Staff were very comforting to my Mum and to our family's needs. Mum was able to enjoy the beautiful grounds and she loved the food. We had Sunday lunch there with my Mum, which was very special. Communication is good and they treated my Mum with care and respect. Staff took the time to do my Mum's hair and makeup and keep her looking like 'Mum', which meant a great deal to us. My Mum had constant visitors day and night and we stayed evenings too and always felt welcome. It was also very reassuring knowing Mum had a Hospice nurse visit and regular doctor visits, alongside the nurses at the care home. Staff are friendly and happy and do an amazing job. It was very heartwarming to see some staff at my Mum's funeral. It just goes to show, that yes it is their job, but the staff really do empathise and do a fantastic job. Thank you to all the staff there.
