A beautiful period property - Edwardian/Georgian. Now in need of some repair work/extending, renovations, well-furnished rooms. Helpful, willing staff. Mainly foreign care workers. The overall standard is let down by the poor quality + preparation of the food, which is very basic.
My aunt has only been in Knowle Park for a few weeks, but she already looks much healthier and well cared for. Although she says that she wants to go home (which is quite understandable) she seems settled and 'happy'.
I want to say a big thank you to all the staff. They are all so friendly and welcoming, whatever their role. They seem to know my husband well and understand his diffculties which can be challenging at times. They show incredible patience with him. When they see either me or our daughter, they give us the latest information and, if they have time, stop to chat. We know how he's getting on and what he's finding difficult. He can't communicate with us himself so these exchanges with the staff are very important to us.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt feedback. We're truly pleased to hear that you feel supported and well-informed, and that our team's patience and understanding make a difference to your husband's care. It means a great deal to us to know that our communication and time spent with you and your daughter provide reassurance. Thank you for placing your trust in us.
My mum was only at Knowle Park for a week, but it was the best week she spent in care. Her room was lovely, with views outside to the garden, and with a TV perfectly placed. The staff were both professional and very kind-hearted and looked after Mum in a very caring way. Even though she had only been a resident for a week, when she passed, all of the duty staff showed genuine compassion to our family members. I cannot thank them enough.
Thank you for sharing such a moving reflection. We're truly honoured that your mum spent her final days at Knowle Park, and it means a great deal to hear how kindly and compassionately she - and your family - were supported. Your words will be deeply appreciated by the whole team.
I have spent 2 weeks visiting my mother daily for most of the day, my mother has settled in nicely at Knowle Park Nursing Home and she now considers it her new home and wants to stay there. She is enjoying the ooutside walks and countryside air and views. The staff treat my mother with respect and dignity and she is feeling very much loved. The meals are delicious with generous portions. My mother celebrated her 100th Birthday in Knowles conservatory with family. Decorations were excellent and her room was also very well decorated. The staff brought in the birthday cake and helped. The buffet was excellent with plenty of good food and drink for all. As I live in Canada it gives me peace of mind that Mum is very well cared for and happy in an excellent facility. Thank you everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review! We're delighted to hear how well your mother has settled at Knowle Park and that she now feels at home here. It's wonderful to know she's enjoying the countryside, the meals, and the care from our team. We were honoured to celebrate...
My mother has been a resident for 2 months and we have the comfort of knowing that we chose the right nursing home. All of the staff are incredibly kind, caring and respectful. The rooms are beautiful and there is room to accommodate many of her own personal items.

It means a lot to know that the kindness and care shown by our team, along with the comfort of her surroundings, have made a positive difference. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
Our mother was a resident for six weeks, until she sadly passed away. Her care was amazing, from the day she arrived until the day she passed away. The support and care we, as a family received during mum's last days was wonderful, all staff were outstanding. Thank you so much Knowle Park.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a wonderful review during this difficult time. It was an honour to have cared for your mother during her stay at Knowle Park, and we're glad that both she and your family felt supported throughout. We are truly sorry for your loss, and on behalf of everyone at Knowle Park, please accept our sincere condolences.
I cannot express my families gratitude enough. My mother received excellent care, and this care extended to her family aswell. I recommend to any family needing care for a loved one to use Knowle Park.

I have always found the staff to be extremely efficient in looking after my husband who is on end-of-life care, but more importantly they perform their duties with consideration and kindness. There is a friendly atmosphere of good cheer and optimism at all times which is so important to anxious relatives, and the nurses are always available and willing to discuss any matters concerning the welfare of the resident. I am so glad I chose Knowle Park to look after my husband as I know he is comfortable and content and is receiving the very best of care.
Thank you for your thoughtful and heartfelt review of Knowle Park. We're grateful for your kind words and are especially pleased to hear that the team's care and compassion have brought comfort during such a sensitive time. Knowing your husband is being well looked after and that you feel supported means a great deal to all of us.

I cannot imagine a lovelier home. The staff are superb. The food is fabulous. Quiet, peaceful, sevene, beautiful rooms. Glorious gardens and wonderful views. We both do appreciate being able to enjoy eating a meal together in his room. The chef is a lovely Michelin star, and to be congratulated. The manager and her superb team of carers and her overseeing of such smooth running supervision.

It's especially heartwarming to know that sharing meals in his room brings comfort to you both. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
My mother came to Knowle Park Nursing Home for terminal care. I cannot express how much my parents, my sister and I are thankful for the most wonderful care my mother was given and the care and kindness my parents and my sister and I were shown. What has been the most difficult time has been easier to cope with because of all the amazing staff at Knowle Park. We want to thank you all so very much and will always recommend you.
Many thanks for your positive review. We are really sorry for your loss, and we hope we made your mother's stay as...
They made sure my Dad was totally spoilt and he was made to feel very special indeed.
The genuine care that the staff provide at Knowle Park to my Dad on a daily basis means such a lot, not only to my Dad but to us as his family too.
Great work to all at Knowle Park and thank you for everything you do.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It means the world to us to know that your dad felt so special on his birthday. The team at Knowle Park genuinely cares for each resident, and we're so glad that this shows in the way we look after your dad every day. It's a real privilege to be a part of his...
The care received is excellent, with the staff always cheerful and helpful. In the three months our mum has been at Knowle Park she has developed a special relationship with a number of carers and this has made such a difference in adding a little pressure to a life now blighted by dementia and blindness.
The food is good, with plenty of variety, and for those who want entertainment and activities, there's always a lot going on in the home's splendid and impressive drawing room.
Of course, all of this comes at quite a high price, but it's certainly not out of line with care homes of this quality in our area. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Not only because our mother's end of life care is so important to us but also because we too find our frequent visits to Knowle Park such a pleasurable experience.
Thank you, for your kind words and recognition of the team at Knowle Park. We're delighted to hear that your mother-in-law has formed meaningful connections with our staff and is receiving such great care here. The care and services we deliver as a team to our residents and their loved ones is...
Mum is a long-term resident of Knowle Park, arriving from hospital in February 2021. Knowle Park itself is an airy and light building surrounded by well-tended, often colourful gardens which residents enjoy in the warmer months. The staff are absolutely magnificent. They were quick to recognise Mum's preferences for simple food, minimal medication, Elvis and cola. There is a staff star of the month nomination box, but every month, we would have to put all the staff names in, as each and every one of them contributes something unique and special to Mum's ongoing care and our peace of mind. Doors are always open, and at each visit, I've found Mum and her room to be fresh, clean and comfortable. Management have been swift to provide wanted advice, and nursing staff is always available to explain and chat through health issues. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Knowle Park.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're delighted to hear that your mum is receiving such great care at Knowle Park, and we're proud that our team has been able to meet her needs and preferences. Creating a welcoming environment is something we truly value, and we're so glad to know you feel confident and reassured by the care we offer. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
I have found everybody really helpful and helped with different problems that I had in the past and the carers helped me through it.
Thank you for your review and positive comments regarding our home and colleagues! We're happy to hear that you're receiving such great care at Knowle Park and will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
Our dear and close friend originally went for some respite care as she lived alone and was in need of some extra care. The care and kindness she received from all members of staff was amazing and she was very happy there and decided to extend the stay in the beautiful room she occupied. The staff were always very welcoming to us too. We spoke to the manager about long-term care as she realised she would not be able to live alone at home. However, sadly her health deteriorated and she received end-of-life care and passed away peacefully in our presence.
Thank you Barbara for your kind words and recognition of the team at Knowle Park. We are really sorry for your loss, and we hope we made your dear friend's stay as peaceful as possible. Your comments will be passed on to the team.
When I came to Knowle Park I was very poorly having had a stroke after my husband died. The care home has put me back together again and it feels like my home. I had planned to move to a retirement village but could not get back here quick enough!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review, Paula! We're happy to hear that you're receiving such great care at Knowle Park and will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.
My wife has only been a resident for 17 days (after 55 days in hospital) but so far so very good. Unfortunately my wife's mental state alongside her physical issues means that she is unable to properly appreciate the facilities and all the care that is being shown for her but not knowing what to expect, I can only say (on behalf also of my daughters) how reassured we are about how well she is being looked after on both the medical side and all the other aspects of her stay. I have not ticked any of the activities boxes as she is currently unable to participate.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review and for your kind words about our home and the care your wife is receiving. The care and services we deliver as a team to our residents and families is extremely important to us. Your feedback will be shared with the team.
Friends had recommended Knowle Park but we didn't have time to visit beforehand because of a sudden discharge from hospital but we didn't need to worry. On arrival, we were welcomed by all the staff who could not have been more caring. The past few days had been very stressful but as soon as we arrived and our mother was settled into her room, we knew that we could all relax. She immediately felt safe and secure and could do what she needed which was to rest.
The facilities are wonderful with superb views and lots of bright areas to sit and chat. But really what made her stay so special was the care given by every staff member who pay such close attention to their residents.
I can't speak highly enough of our experience at Knowle Park and it is definitely my mother's first choice should she need care in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and we are pleased your mother and the family felt supported when it was needed. It is lovely to read your comments about our home and the team at Knowle Park. Your feedback will be shared with the team who will be delighted to read it.
