I like Sunrise very much. I think the staff are always very polite, very caring and very helpful. Always a lovely atmosphere with plenty of entertainment. It is the first residential home that I have enjoyed visiting.

Sunrise of Virginia Water is a friendly, well-organised home and I feel that my father is well cared for and he seems to have a good relationship with the staff and he seems to speak fondly of many of the residents.
I feel that my father is safe and secure in the caring and environment that Sunrise
offers. The refurbishment has, of course, meant quite a lot of his disruption, but this seems to have been worth it in order to keep the home to a modern and desirable level for the resident and is lovely for friends and family to visit too.

I first came for two weeks late September - early October 2017. When I arrived on 23rd March, following a dangerous operation and extended period of ill health for a month's respite care, I felt that I was coming home. My finances would not reach to fulltime care but I intend to come in for respite
care in the future counting Sunrise as a holiday! I live in a three bedroom flat opposite Sunrise in Virginia Park. I have excellent care from other carers, one hour in the morning, half an hour at night but it is lonely. I miss the stimulation of other people and activities.

The concierge is always welcoming and also always appear to know the resident I am visiting. Entering the home is always a happy experience. My husband has settled in well I think because of the high staff ratio to resident and because of their attitude of respect for each resident.

Whenever I visit Dad each week I always feel like I am coming 'home'. Sunrise is such a warm and welcoming place. The staff are enormously flexible and helpful with my fathers changing needs. Email, phone and face to face contact with the management team is excellent and they appreciate how important
communication is to ensure Dad (and we) are happy and well cared for. The whole environment is uplifting, bright and fresh - a lovely place to live.

I have found the care home to be the perfect place for my Mum in her old age as she can no longer look after herself at home. The staff have all been very friendly, helpful and caring. The environment of the home is excellent. All her needs are well catered for. The cost of this type of care is very
high, but Sunrise is not the most expensive in the area, but of the highest quality.

It is all very nice. The rooms are especially nice now they have been refurbished and I enjoy visiting speakers and musicians and the activities provided by the home. The activities room is much improved by the large screen on which to see films and listen to classical music. The carers and staff and
management all work very hard to keep the home running smoothly and are much appreciated by me and my family. The food, on the whole, is very good and sometimes excellent and the building is kept very clean. Quite expensive though.

In my experience, the staff at Sunrise are extremely caring and considerate of the resident's needs. Always observing and looking after them superbly. There is always a warm and happy welcome from the staff and nothing is too much trouble.

The staff are always friendly and helpful and look after my mother with respect and kindness. They have a wonderful sense of humour and endless patience. Residents are always clean and well turned out. Everywhere is clean, smells nice and full of flowers.

My mother-in-law is very safe and secure and happy. It has taken a great weight off my mind.


The staff are very willing to make the family feel that everything is under control and they do not need to worry. I now have confidence I am not along dealing with all the problems of old age.

I have lived here very contently for 8 1/2 years and have no complaints. Luckily I am in very good health, but I see the staff attending frail or unwell residents and I have much admiration for the care and patience they show the residents. Our wellness section is very quick to respond to any health
problems, arranging a Doctor's visit if necessary. The food is very good and the menu well varied.

At Virginia Water, we have a lovely activities team and we run the Live with Purpose Programme. This covers a variety of Activities enriching the mind, body and soul. I started my career at the iconic Waldorf Hotel in London which inspired my passion for hospitality.


Unsocial hours and the birth of my daughter made me rethink my career and hence the transition to care home catering for the past 15 years. I have never looked back. I really enjoy catering for all our residents’ dietary requirements. It’s a very rewarding job and a privilege to cook for them in their home. A birthday celebration never goes by without a personalised cake. My team also support special events in the home.
