A very dear friend recently passed away after a long stay at Sunrise. It was of great comfort to know that she was looked after so well and in such delightful surroundings. Sadly and immediately, towards the end of her life, she became limited in her mobility, but they always looked after her with care
and dignity. She was a valued friend and a lovely lady - she deserved the beast and was fortunate to be able to access the best. Thank you.
Reply from Liz McLauchlan, General Manager at Signature at WeybridgeFirstly, please accept our sincere condolences for your recent loss and thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Sunrise of Weybridge – particularly at such a difficult time. The team here are so grateful that your friend had such a positive experience of the home and this extended to family members and friends.

Sunrise has been very accomodating in managing to move my mother in at very short notice, and at this difficult time of the covid-19 pandemic. Her needs were quickly addressed and understood. We felt confident that she was being well cared for, and communication was easy and open. My mother seems content
and has settled in remarkably quickly.
Reply from Liz McLauchlan, General Manager at Signature at WeybridgeSunrise of Weybridge appreciate moving into a care home can be an unsettling time. This is why we take the time to engage with family members and friends of the resident to make the process as smooth as possible, to get to know the resident on a personal level. We are pleased your mother has settled in well.

My mother moved to Reminiscence from Assisted Living in September as she has deteriorated mentally and physically during the lockdown. Since she moved I have noticed a significant improvement in her demeanour and general well-being. It is well managed and the care team are very kind and patient with
my mother and also communicate with me on her day to day progress. I know she is safe and well looked after but it has also helped that I am allowed to visit her under Covid guidelines which are reassuring for both of us. Practical note: lighting in bedrooms/studio could be improved.
Reply from Liz McLauchlan, General Manager at Signature at WeybridgeAt Sunrise of Weybridge, our ultimate goal is to provide the best possible level of care we can. From our carers, nurses and activities team we strive to achieve a sociable and comfortable community our residents can call home. We are so happy to see the improvements made by your mother.

1 year on, consistent excellent care. Exemplary staff. Good clean facility. Well-run. Great management. Staff unbeatable.
On Reminiscence floor; Negatives - TV is intrusive, unimaginative content, same old. Personal care sometimes at fault but I am aware of patient compliance problems. Occupational
therapy could be better.

My mother is very happy at Sunrise and says she is well looked after. The staff is always friendly and helpful and car caring with the residents. Turnover of staff does seem to be high which can sometimes be a problem, but overall, as a family, we are pleased with the service. Our mother's happiness
is paramount.

It is a nice, light and welcoming atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The menu could be more varied and the same goes for activities. There is sometimes a fairly long wait for help to get dressed.
It is by far the nicest care home of the five I visited and my relative feels safe and looked
after there.

My mum needed respite care after a hospital stay that left her unable to walk and mentally disorientated. Sunrise of Weybridge have been marvellous at rehabilitating her. She now walks well and good distances and is so much better mentally. Her confidence has improved as well as her interaction. Sunrise
of Weybridge staff are kind, helpful and encourage lots of activities. The home is warm, clean and comfortable and very welcoming.

My husband enjoyed his respite care and I feel he has improved a good deal. He suffers from Parkinson's Disease and a small dementia.
He was there for a 30 day stay while I had an operation. I could not have been more pleased with every aspect of this truly special place.
His friends and family were
made to feel welcome.

Just over a year ago my father was diagnosed with cancer, sadly Mum had dementia and Dad was no longer able to care for her as he needed care too. We decided a care home for them both was the best decision. I looked at quite a few and found Sunrise to be the most homely, although the transition is quite
a hard one it was wonderful to know they were well looked after and I could get back to some kind of normality.
Sadly three months in we said goodbye to Dad as he lost his battle with cancer. Mum has settled in very well and we could not wish for better care, they are all wonderful. Thanks to all the staff.

My 86 year old mother was seriously ill last winter and as my husband and I were out of the country for 5 weeks early this year we needed somewhere for Mum to be safe and secure. We are delighted that we chose Sunrise in Weybridge as the care and attention given to her was second to none. She went
there as a frail old lady and came out confident and in a positive state of mind. We have no doubt that the care from the staff and the extensive level of interactive activities helped her on her way to recovery. Sunrise has kept in touch and we were invited to a 10th-anniversary party event there last weekend - a fantastic do, where mother caught up with her new friends. We will be out of the country again this summer and Mum is looking forward to having another holiday there.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.811)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.811) out of 10 for Signature at Weybridge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 20 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.902 for Signature at Weybridge is calculated as follows: ( (215 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 235 Ratings = 4.902
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.909 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Signature at Weybridge is based on 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 110 registered maximum number of service users is 22. 20 Positive Reviews ÷ 22 = 0.909
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Client Liaison Manager Joined: 2020

I joined Signature in 2020, bringing with me several years of local experience in another area of care. Having lived in the area all my life, and with my family running a well-known high street business since 1965, I am proud to have deep roots in this community. It is not uncommon for families seeking care to recognise me or my family, which adds a personal and meaningful dimension to my role. My position at Signature is wonderfully varied and allows me to draw on a wide range of skills, but at its heart is what matters most to me: helping people. Supporting families through important decisions and ensuring residents feel truly at home is incredibly rewarding. Signature is known for setting the standard, not only in the quality of care we provide, but also in the beautiful environments we create. I am delighted to be working for what I believe is the best care provider in the country, and I can confidently say that Signature at Weybridge is a truly special home. That same year, I became Signature’s Regional Dementia Mentor, supporting teams across the group to enhance standards, share best practice and inspire excellence. In 2025, I was promoted to Clinical Services Manager, allowing me to support residents, families and teams at an even deeper level.

What I love most about dementia care is building meaningful relationships and truly understanding the person behind the diagnosis. It is not just about meeting physical needs, but about preserving dignity, creating moments of joy, and helping residents feel safe, valued and understood every day. Working at Weybridge is special because of the strong sense of family, teamwork and shared values. The team is passionate, compassionate and genuinely committed to enhancing the quality of life for every resident. Supporting and developing our staff is central to this culture, ensuring they feel confident, valued and empowered to deliver exceptional care. Families are closely involved, and care is thoughtfully tailored to each individual’s life story, preferences and needs.

Job Title: Residential Care Manager Joined: 2013

Since moving to the UK in 2007, I have built a fulfilling career in residential care, beginning as a Care Assistant while completing my NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care. My passion for working with people inspired me to go on to complete a Master’s in Business Administration and HR Management, which led to a leadership role as a Care Home Administrator.

In 2019, I stepped into the role of Residential Care Manager, allowing me to combine strong operational leadership with my commitment to person-centred care. I truly believe that with the right support and environment, every individual can enjoy life to the fullest. Working with Signature Senior Lifestyle has been especially rewarding. It is a place where I feel a strong sense of purpose, and where we genuinely make a difference to the lives of residents and their families every day.

Job Title: Wellbeing and Lifestyle Manager Joined: 2018

Before joining the care sector, I spent many years working in the corporate world with Johnson & Johnson Medical, holding roles including Customer Service Manager for the European Repairs Division and European Supply Chain Specialist. In 2018, I made the leap into care as an Activities Coordinator — a significant career change, but one I’ve never looked back on.

I’m truly passionate about what I do. My focus each day is simple: to bring joy, connection and purpose to our residents. Whether it’s through music, crafts, gentle exercise, minibus outings or simply a friendly chat over coffee, I believe it’s the little moments that make the biggest difference.

Activities play a vital role in life at Signature, and I’m fortunate to work with a fantastic team that shares that belief. We’re always open to new ideas — if it’s possible, I’ll do everything I can to make it happen.

One of the most memorable moments in my role was arranging for a resident living with cancer to see her favourite artist, Cliff Richard, at the Royal Albert Hall. Seeing her smile that night reminded me exactly why I do what I do — it’s about making every day count.
