Overall, the nursing home is very good. The staff are very caring and helpful. They plan a lot of activities and events for the residents. The food is of a very high quality and visitors are made to feel welcome. Staff shortages do sometimes cause problems. The carers and nurses work extremely hard, but will always take time to talk to you about any issues. My only complaint is that at least 3-4 items have gone missing from my mother's room over the last few months. These have been reported but to no avail. It deters me from leaving anything of value on display.

Having been discharged from hospital, following Covid, I needed care facilities.

What I found here was a group of people who devoted their time making life more tolerable for me. Nothing was left to chance as it was overseen at all levels by healthcare professionals. This was very reassuring. This is an example of you get what you pay for. The staff were very attentive and this helped me to get back to normality.

All the staff I met are so caring, patient, pleasant and positive. Sensitive to the needs of each resident. There seem to be efficient systems in place for medications and personal care. The food is good quality and there is a fine variety and choice of dishes. The personal rooms are clean and the communal rooms are comfortable and spacious. I particularly liked the meeting space near reception. Some of the dining chairs are tired-looking, with splits and tears in the fabric. Some gutters are blocked with vegetation, causing rain water to overflow noisily onto glass roofs.

Lovely home with great care. Staff are very supportive and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone made the family feel welcome, and the transition went well, smoothly and easily. From the moment you arrive at reception till the time you leave, you are made to feel welcome; the staff are very helpful, but at the same time, you can see how passionate they are about looking after the residents.

Since moving in, we have seen such a positive impact on our dad's well-being, and how he has settled has been truly heartening.
One of the first things that struck us was the warm and welcoming environment at Tandridge. The atmosphere is not only friendly but also exudes a genuine sense of community. The staff members have been incredibly attentive and kind, making the transition for my father-in-law smoother than we could have imagined.

The management team's approachability has been a beacon of reassurance for our family. They have not only demonstrated professionalism but also a deep commitment to ensuring the comfort and happiness of the residents. It is evident they foster a culture of compassion and excellence throughout the home.

All the staff here are very attentive, helpful and friendly to my mum and when we visit and this is every day of the week. You could not ask for a more friendly bunch of people. My mum loves it as the staff always take time to talk with her and bring her lots of tea and coffee. This is not the first nursing home my mum has been in but for 100%, it's the best! I enjoy the visits I have wth my mum and they are made more enjoyable with the kind nature of all the staff team!

My husband was transferred to Tandridge Heights from the hospital. I had never heard of Tandridge Heights before their phone call and was obviously quite concerned. However, when I went to see them prior to his transfer, I immediately felt happy about the overall situation. He has been under their care now for over a year, and the staff have always been excellent in their dealings with him; plus, they have been very supportive of me as I have had my own health problems this year.

My wife spent five weeks in Tandridge Heights to give me a break from caring for her at home. She spent a very happy time there and was cared for by the most friendly and caring staff. My mother was admitted in November after being discharged from the hospital for end of life care. She was not expected to see out the week. That was over 6 weeks ago. She has rallied due in part to the care she receives. The staff here are excellent. Nothing is too much for them, and anything I ask them to do gets done as quick as they can. Rooms here are a good size, food is excellent and the place is very well managed. I cannot recommend this facility highly enough for the care and love they show to all residents no matter their condition.

The staff here are brilliant, cheerful, helpful and obliging so thank you on behalf of my 92-year-old wife. The food is certainly as good if not better than in a first-class hotel. A very varied, well-cooked menu. As an ex Corporal in the army Catering Corps, I speak from experience. Thanks to all the kitchen staff, keep up the good work. Everyone from cleaners, helpers, nurses and the general staff seems to do an excellent job.

General Manager & Operations Manager South East

I am a seasoned Registered Manager with over 28 years’ experience leading high-performing teams and services. I specialise in building cultures of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement, and I’m known for turning strategic intent into measurable outcomes. My background spans complex operational delivery, compliance, and change management, with a steady focus on quality, safety, and person-centred practice.

I hold a Level 7 in Strategic Leadership, complemented by two Level 5 qualifications, which ground my work in robust governance, data-informed decision-making, and practical leadership. Across my career, I’ve led services through inspections, restructures, and growth, developing people along the way and embedding systems that last.

Outside of work, I’m happiest tending my half-plot allotment, where patience and planning pay off in spades. I unwind with psychological thrillers, trips to the cinema, and meals out, and I love to travel—especially cruising. Home is shared with my two grown-up sons and a much-loved cat, who keeps us all in line.

Colleagues describe me as calm under pressure, fair, and relentlessly solution-focused. I bring clarity, consistency, and care to everything I do—whether I’m guiding a team through change or planting the next season’s crop

My name is Setty, and I have been proud to be part of the Barchester family for almost 20 years, having first joined in 2006 when our home first opened. During my career, I was honoured to be nominated for the Barchester Care Awards in 2015 and was awarded 1st prize along with 2 other nurses from across Barchester England for my commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care.

My journey with Barchester has been a rewarding one. I worked as a Unit Manager, bringing with me a wealth of experience and a continued passion for supporting residents and colleagues alike at Tandridge Heights.

Following the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I made the difficult decision to return to South Africa after losing several close and immediate family members to COVID. After a break in 2024, I was delighted to return to Barchester as a Registered Nurse, and it truly felt like coming back home. What I value most about working here is the genuine sense of family. We all support one another while providing the very best care for our residents.

Before joining Barchester, I gained extensive nursing experience in South Africa, including seven years working in Palliative Cancer Care and six years as a Prison Nurse. These diverse roles have helped shape my compassionate, resilient approach to nursing and reinforced my belief that every individual deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness and respect.

It is a privilege to care for our residents and their families and I am proud to be part of such a dedicated caring team.

Nisha works with Tandridge Heights as a sole trader to provide audiology services. Nisha is a qualified solicitor with over 10 years of experience working in the City specialising in medical negligence and catastrophic injury. Following the arrival of her two young boys, she decided to leave her career in law and create a business to channel her passion for standards of care while using her legal knowledge. Nisha leads a team of staff that are passionate about ear care and who understand just how important hearing is. To meet resident’s hearing needs, they have developed a unique approach so that they can look after the health of resident’s ears, as well as their hearing, from the first time they see the resident. Every resident they see will receive a free Ear and Hearing Health Check. The resident’s journey begins with a short 10-minute assessment to check the health of the ear and identify any concerns or build-up of wax. If a hearing loss is identified, they offer a free and comprehensive Full Hearing Assessment during which the resident will undergo a series of further tests to identify the type of hearing loss. The audiologist will go through the different options to suit the resident’s need and with a FLEX:TRIAL, their audiologist can monitor how and where the resident uses their hearing aid so that it can be tailored to their specific requirements. The audiologist also provides aftercare services and a personalised care plan. A video otoscope is used to check the ear so that the residents can see for themselves what the audiologist has found. If a loved one cannot be present, they are also able to send them a copy of the results, ensuring full transparency and peace of mind for everyone.
