Tilford Care & Nursing Home

This is the second care home my mum has been in since Dec 2025. My mum looks soo much better, clean, well cared for and much brighter. The staff are very kind and caring. My mum is always doing activities and she is maintaining her weight, which is amazing as she did loose a lot. It is the first time I am happy to leave her in the care of the home without checking up everyday. Really great place.

Generally all was good - occasionally staff were a bit slow in attending non-urgent matters when called. TV remote did not work from the chair in the room.

All the staff at Tilford Nursing Home are friendly and caring, especially when my husband was in end of life care. They all treated him with dignity and were very attentive to him and all the family whilst we sat with him in his final days. We can't thank them enough for all their care and support.

We have been really pleased with the care Dad received. This is our first respite date. The family were rather concerned about how Dad would react. He has settled in really well and seems to have enjoyed his stay. We will be very happy to use this home for his next 'holiday'.

Finally, as a family, we were treated well. Everyone was polite and ensured our visits were enjoyable.

I visit a friend one a week and take him out. He tells me how well he is treated and how much he likes the staff, he says they kissed when he goes home. I received kindness and with a lot of politeness when I am there, and if asked I would recommend his home.

I don't have much experience with dementia care, but the little I do. I have not yet met a better, more organised management team. I often pop in and love the way residents'' have freedom and dignity. How the staff decorate rooms with personal touches and paint nails. Never have I appreciated how lucky we can be when our family does not want us, but these people make you feel loved. Plus, very clean.

First class service in all areas.

The home is beautifully situated surrounded by trees in a very quiet peaceful area. All the staff were bright, friendly and attentive to the patients at all times. My mother's room was nicely furnished with a lovely view of the garden. My family was very happy with the care she received.

My wife and I found a calm, welcoming atmosphere at the grange Tilford. The caring staff were so helpful and kind, treating all residents with dignity no matter what their needs or demands were asked of them, often before the resident was aware of help. Excellent caring and nursing staff. Safe mobility always encouraged, with good access to garden and court yard with good seating and shade. Various activities. From colouring/drawing, games, topical and "past times of ago" questionnaires were very popular. Dancing with entertainers offering music. Very good BBQ, good varied meals, all from in house kitchen. Super afternoon sponges and cakes. Hydration always encouraged. Excellent staff from carers nurses and reception.

My sister enjoyed her time at Tilford Care and Nursing Home. On my visits to her I witnessed great care and consideration to all the residents and they were all treated with respect. I would recommend this home if asked. My Sister was sorry to have to leave.

All of my mother's needs are being met very professionally and with care and attention. The staff are exceptional. Very happy - thank you.

Couldn't be more impressed with Tilford Nursing Home. Friendly polite staff, the whole place was clean! I was treated with such respect, care and support. My nanny looked the best she has looked in years which shows the amount of care. Fabulous room with an excellent bed to help her needs. I would highly recommend this nursing home. Staff were a class service. Exremely professional and helpful.

Professional, kind, warm staff. Extremely respectful. Nursing home is well looked after, clean. Room is excellent for my mum's needs. My mum is clearly being looked after so well. She is happy and settled and our family could not ask for more. I highly recommend Tilford Nursing Home.

My dad was a resident at Tilford Care & Nursing Home for 6 months. We cannot fault the care he received, all staff were very compassionate and caring to dad's needs. We felt confident that he was being very well looked after, not only dad but ourselves as a family visiting. We all certainly became a part of the Tilford family.

Mum loves the bathroom, I love that Mum can safely take a shower. Mum is hard to please, she has nothing but praise for Tilford. Mum even loves the food here (a first). The staff are kind and attentive. It is very clean, and the cleaning and care taking staff do a superb job and never cut corners. The home has a lovely atmosphere, it is calm and well-run.

Can’t recommend this home enough. My dad spent his last 18 months here being cared for. The staff do the most incredible job not only caring for residents but for the families too. From cooks, nurses, managers, admin, cleaners, care assistants every single member of staff. Forever grateful, thank you.

My mother had been at Tilford since 26/10/22, until her passing away 09/02/24. During that time, all the staff showed the greatest respect and to her caring needs I cannot fault her care during that time, she was happy in her new home. The nursing staff always kept me up to date, regarding her health for which I am grateful, especially during her final days passing, they made the process comfortable for her. Thank you.

We would like to say a big thank you to the care home nurses, auxiliaries, office staff and anyone else who contributed to the care of our mother/nan and Great Nan, while she was at Tilford Care Home. Everyone was very helpful and caring, nothing was too much trouble and we will be eternally grateful that mum was made comfortable and was looked after so well right up to the end.
