St George's Care Home

We moved our father/father-in-law to Bupa Cobham early in Septmber from another Care Home. What a difference, the staffing levels are excellent. The staff are always helpful and considerate. The nurses are always keeping you updated and the doctor visits weekly. We are so happy with the move.

St Georges has a beating heart that radiates warmth and care the minute you walk through the door. Dad lives with dementia and Parkinsons Disease and arrived at St Georges after spending nearly five years at another care home. For an elderly person with Dad's health challenges a move was extremely daunting and dreaded by us all. We need not have worried....Dad was welcomed into the St Georges family with open arms from the moment he arrived so many staff members from Manager, nurses, carers, receptionist and support staff all popped into Dad's room, held his hand and gently reassured him of his new surrounding and home. The nurses and carers are outstanding, delivering wonderfully efficient, gentle care, timed medication administered on time, encouragement with independence with eating and toileting etc. The staffing levels are excellent, always a carer or nurse popping into Dad's room checking on him and having a chat. The improvement in Dad is wonderful to see, he's even started speaking again after being non-verbal for the past 3 years! We feel totally blessed that Dad is now under the very capable care of St Georges and their amazing team.

When Visiting St Georges have always found staff to be cheerful & helpful, there is a good family atmosphere. I have not ticked the "Management" box as the management structure has never been clear to me, likewise "value for money" have insufficient experience of other Care Homes to make comparisons, With regard to Facilities not sure what this means

These are exactly the qualities I would want if choosing a home for a relative or myself. I would feel confident in the care, kindness and stimulation offered at St George's.

I have found St Georges to be well staffed and who have always shown a very caring and attentive attitude to the residents. There is a varied choice of activities available. All Pat's family are very happy with the care she receives. The garden is also very suitable for us to walk around with Pat. Thank you.

I wanted to call out the excellent care my mother has received since moving to St George's 5 months ago. The staff provide a caring and supportive environment to all. Having a loved one living with advanced dementia is a sad and trying situation for a family to find themselves in but seeing my mother smiling, chatting and engaging as far as she is able is priceless. Imaginative and ability appropriate activities are offered every week by the enthusiastic staff member as well as visits from always popular therapy dogs. The care and reception staff make us feel very welcome when we visit adding to the overall feeling of consideration and kindness this home has. Thank you.

My wife Beryl has been at St Georges for several weeks Beryl has settled in so well the staff are very good and supportive. I'm sure this goes a long way to assisting Beryl in every way.

On the 4th Feb, I had arranged a booking for the family room - it was my first visit there and a happy meeting for my dear brother, myself and two of his friends. The care staff and chef had everything set up for us. The room was warm and cosy. We were cared for like family, and we had a few happy hours. I knew my brother would not remember the next day - but it was so lovely to see him so happy and laughing. Thanks so very, very much for making happy memories.

As soon as I walked though the door on the first day I was acknowledged and made to feel welcome and kept up to date with all issues.

My mother-in-law has been well cared for at St George's. The staff have been amazing, always welcoming and happy themselves. My MIL is always happy, enjoys her food there and all the activities that are provided as stimulation.

Just over a year he spent in your care till the day he passed and he was given the love and treatment any person could wish for for their relative. Thanks to each and every one of you for giving him a great last year of his life. love and best wishes. The Family

Level of dementia care provided by all staff is exceptional and to be honest that's all you need to know. My mum joined St George's Care Home a couple of months ago (Feb 2025) and I am very pleased with all aspects of the care she is and has received since. All staff, and I do mean all, are very cheerful, welcoming and helpful. They all chip in to make the home a lovely welcoming home from home. The food is amazing, yes I've tried it. lol. Choices provided at each meal time for the residents and if they didn't like them they would find you something else to eat. Lots of activities are provided and in home visits like those from the animals are always received well. Recently my mum went on her first trip out and you could tell by her face that she enjoyed every moment. Again we could not be more pleased with such an excellent level of care, companionship and understanding of dementia showed by staff at the home towards the residents, like mum, or their family and friends.

We are a family with long and very positive experiences of working with St George's Care Home in Cobham. Putting our mother into a dementia care home was a daunting prospect at the start, but we soon realised she was in very good hands. We have all been part of the St George's community for the last 10 years. We really do appreciate everything that the staff have done for Mum and for us over this long period. The St George's team are all so different and come from such varied backgrounds, but they all have the care and wellbeing of the residents at heart. They are a very special team and we really value and appreciate their contribution to all our lives over this last period of Mum's life.

The staff are kind, caring and are good in very many difficult situations.

I would like to add that all the carers are of the highest standards.

Even though she was only there for a few short weeks would definitely recommend the care home.

My father has only been at St George's Care Home for 3 nights, but so far he has had an excellent experience, all the staff being very kind, patient and professional. It does feel like a real home which is all we can ask.
