St George’s is a purpose-built dementia care home. The home is dedicated to caring for adults living with dementia, from early onset to more complex end-of-life needs, the home provides all types of dementia care including nursing, residential, Parkinson’s and short-stay care.

The home has its own dementia champions who work to improve the quality of life for residents through daily activities and opportunities for reminiscence and stimulation. Furthermore, everything at St George’s is on one floor, making it easier for residents to find their way around. The home’s interior has been decorated to suit individuals with dementia, being colour-themed and including memory triggers.

The home has a home for home atmosphere, pleasant communal areas, and a secure well-maintained courtyard garden, it provides a relaxing living environment. The home also benefits from its on-site pub, hairdressers and tea hut for all to enjoy.

All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, the majority lead out to the garden or courtyard area and all come with a 24-hour call system.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients. Soon after a resident arrives at St George’s, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

There’s a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. So whether loved ones already have a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting activities to get involved in. Anyone is welcome to pop in and join in.

My mum stayed for 8 weeks and I cannot thank the kindness of the staff.
All the staff are so helpful and kind with the patients, going out of there way to ensure there clients are looked after to a high standard.
As soon as I walked though the door on the first day I was acknowledged and made to feel
welcome and kept up to date with all issues.

I wanted to raise a concern regarding one of the residents who frequently shouts, often quite loudly, both during the day and at night. I fully appreciate that this may be due to a medical condition or something outside anyone's control. However, I've noticed that it can be quite distressing for my
wife and likely for other residents as well, particularly at night when rest is so important. Could I ask whether there is a support plan in place for this resident, and whether there might be any steps that could be taken to help manage the situation, for their wellbeing as well as for those around them? I truly appreciate the dedication and hard work your team puts in under challenging circumstances. I raise this only out of a desire to ensure the best possible care and comfort for everyone. By way of context: while my wife was confined to her room for a few days, I was with her for around three hours (10.30 to 13.30) each day, during which time the shouting was constant and clearly audible.

From the first moment you accepted our father/ Grandfather into your care home, you went above and beyond for him and our family.
You included him and involved him daily in every activity that he wanted to be involved in. After coming from a home that just sat him in a chair all day, you provided
him with a quality of life again and his happiness and improvement was clear to see.
Just over a year he spent in your care till the day he passed and he was given the love and treatment any person could wish for for their relative. Thanks to each and every one of you for giving him a great last year of his life. love and best wishes. The Family

Level of dementia care provided by all staff is exceptional and to be honest that's all you need to know. My mum joined St George's Care Home a couple of months ago (Feb 2025) and I am very pleased with all aspects of the care she is and has received since. All staff, and I do mean all, are very cheerful,
welcoming and helpful. They all chip in to make the home a lovely welcoming home from home. The food is amazing, yes I've tried it. lol. Choices provided at each meal time for the residents and if they didn't like them they would find you something else to eat. Lots of activities are provided and in home visits like those from the animals are always received well. Recently my mum went on her first trip out and you could tell by her face that she enjoyed every moment. Again we could not be more pleased with such an excellent level of care, companionship and understanding of dementia showed by staff at the home towards the residents, like mum, or their family and friends.

We are a family with long and very positive experiences of working with St George's Care Home in Cobham. Putting our mother into a dementia care home was a daunting prospect at the start, but we soon realised she was in very good hands. We have all been part of the St George's community for the last
10 years. We really do appreciate everything that the staff have done for Mum and for us over this long period. The St George's team are all so different and come from such varied backgrounds, but they all have the care and wellbeing of the residents at heart. They are a very special team and we really value and appreciate their contribution to all our lives over this last period of Mum's life.

My wife recently had a choking incident at lunch time and the staff took prompt action for resuscitation and recovery. Had it not been for their professional care the consequence could have been extremely serious. They called an ambulance and my wife recovered later that evening. I cannot praise the
staff highly enough.
I would like to add that all the carers are of the highest standards.

My Mother was placed in St Georges on 24th Dec 2024 for respite care. All we can say is how incredible the staff are, from the minute we arrived until she left everyone was so kind and compassionate and showered her with so much care.
The activities on offer were lovely, animal therapy, staff were
all so kind.
Even though she was only there for a few short weeks would definitely recommend the care home.

I want to highlight the experience and care displayed by both carers and nurses, especially with regards to helping improve my mum's appetite and drinking. The nurse joined in a call with external assessors reviewing my mum's care needs, demonstrating their thorough knowledge of my mum's complex needs
and cognitive behaviour. The team genuinely care about my mum's well being. Their efforts have had a very positive impact on my mothers health.

My sister and I came to see a very old and dear friend to both of us. We found him in good health and fine spirits. We spent a few hours with him sharing memories and discussing past adventures on our boats. We had a great lunch with him which was lovely. The staff we met were great and friendly. We
were joined by two other gentlemen who we also chatted with. And we were treated to a lovely piano recital - very much enjoyed.

Had a lovely morning in the pub with my friend and two other residents. Endless coffee supplied with cakes, delicious! We were offered lunch and had scampy and chips, very nice. One staff member in particular was exceptional, very caring and helpful. All in all a very enjoyable visit.

My father quickly settled into the Home; his health stabilised, and he has. outlived the assessment given to him by hospital staff prior to his entry to St. George's. This is due to the friendly, supportive, caring and attentive staff. There is a warm, communal feel to the place, which is cosy and comfortable,
with news of gardens. There are plenty of activities for residents. Last Christmas the Home was attractively decorated, and birthdays. celebrated too. As far as possible, this seems very much a home-from-home, providing peace, practical and and personal dignity. Visitors are. always welcomed and queries readily answered by administrative and nursing staff. I recommend this home highly, it provides great care and peace of mind.

I joined Bupa at St Georges in December 2021, I have got 20 years of experience in the care industry where I started as a carer and made my way up the ladder to the home manager position. I have previously managed another Bupa care home where we achieved an outstanding CQC rating for the home.

Job Title: Clinical Deputy Manager

I hail from the beautiful island of St. Lucia in the Eastern Caribbean. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 10 years. I have worked in general medical and surgical nursing, operating room and Intensive care nursing, and community nursing and I am also a certified Midwife.


I worked with the NHS at East Surrey Hospital for almost 3 years and during the initial covid pandemic. I recently left there and joined this fabulous team at St Georges.


I have had a passion for caring from a young age, and I am happy to help in any way to ensure the health and happiness of our residents and their loved ones.

I am originally from Poland. I finished my studies in sociology and started working in the catering industry for the last 14 years.


I have experience supplying meals to schools and have worked in Italian restaurants, pubs and hotels. I started working at St Georges Care Home in March 2020. I am passionate about food and love to cater for everyone’s needs.

I have worked as the activity coordinator at St George’s since June 2001. As a young girl, I trained in fashion journalism at the London College of Fashion in Oxford Street.


I have previously worked as a journalist in local newspapers. I used to write a music column called Sound Scene whereby I interviewed new up-and-coming bands in the local area. My other jobs include working as a nursery assistant for local childcare providers and I was also a civil servant, working for the Inland Revenue.


I love my job - it is varied and each day is vastly contrasting. I work with a very effective team who all bring different qualities and strengths to the department. Ultimately as a team, we all work together to enrich the resident’s lives which is of course our central goal.
