We were always deeply impressed with the consideration and friendliness shown to our Dad in the final months of his life at Brooklands. We were extremely grateful for all the nursing and care support, led by Asha and Tom; and for the countless individual acts of kindness Dad received from the staff and volunteers. With best wishes for the future.

Brooklands have just given my dad a lovely and memorable Christmas with lots of festivities and treats that dad would not have bothered with when at home. Everyone seems to be very kind and understanding - just like a loving extended family. He is made to feel valued and special in a way that I could only have dreamed of. A wonderful member of staff wrote a personal Christmas card to dad commenting on how unique and valued he was and how he makes such a positive contribution to the home. We are so thankful for these authentic, heartfelt touches; they have eased the difficult transition so much. Jobin (manager) invited my mum to share Christmas day with him and they both said it was one of the best Christmas dinners they had ever had! Mum and I visit at least weekly and have been treated with respect and understanding at all times. Tea, refreshments and chats are always available and mum looks forward to the visits so much.

We are so grateful for everything.

I just had to write a review for Brooklands because in honesty I cannot thank them enough. My father came here on respite care - view to permanent if he wished and from our initial meeting the way he and we were treated as a family was exemplary. He was given the best care anyone could have wished for . All the staff are warm, friendly and respectful. The rooms in which he resided was clean, bright and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. He chose when he wanted to eat , sleep , go outside even if it was late at night and nearly midnight the staff always facilitated this for him . The staff would always sit and chat with him if he wished when we were not there so he always had company and was never lonely. I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am to Brooklands and all the members of staff . The care he received was 11 out of 10 and would have no hesitation in recommending them to any other family . So thank you once again.

My aunt was a resident of Brooklands for the last six months of her life, having been admitted with Alzheimer's, and other illnesses which meant living at home was no longer possible. This home has lovely surroundings, with views of a stunning garden and wildlife. Every member of staff we met were fantastic with my aunt; so kind and caring and she was very happy there, which as a family made my mum and I feel very reassured. I honestly am so grateful to everyone, from the manager, to the care staff, and nurses and all other staff we met each and every one was dedicated, compassionate and supportive to us and my aunt. Thank you all again for everything.

My father went to Brooklands Nursing home in July 2022, as he was not managing at home any longer. He was well cared for during the two and a half years he was resident there. Staff were especially kind and helpful during his last days, until he died peacefully at the end of December 2024. My siblings and I had long distances to travel when visiting and were always offered refreshments, could book meals with my Dad and in the last few days, accommodation, so that my brother and his wife could stay.

My husband went from hospital to Brooklands Nursing Home in July after a sudden admission, initially for a respite. The welcome and care given to him by all the staff was wonderful and their knowledge of his advanced Parkinson's disease was so reassuring.
The rooms are comfortable and bright with pleasant views of lawns and trees from all windows and individual activities are cheerfully given as appropriate. There are home cooked meals everyday, with a great Sunday roast!
Sadly my husband died at the end of August. The expert care, warmth and compassion and of all the staff during his stay was inspiring. The family were always welcomed and able to visit and stay with him at all hours.
Brooklands has a consistent loyal staff with a manager who is supportive to residents, their families and staff alike.

We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their gentle and skillful care and their kindness to us all.

Both my parents had to find a nursing home quickly back in December, as my dad had terminal cancer and my mum had a fall and with dementia, she had declined and could no longer live at home. My family and I were very impressed with the manager and all the staff and my parents were very comfortable there. Sadly, my dad died in January and my mum died in March, but they both found it very comfortable and relaxed. The staff were always friendly, polite and helpful. If they needed anything, someone was able to sit with them and help them eat etc. They had lovely rooms and it was peaceful for them - Dad loved the sunsets he could see from his window. I would recommend this home to anyone who needs full-time 24-hour care - it is a relief to know that loved ones are looked after with the utmost care and attention.

My mother has been in residence since November 2022 with heart failure, dementia and a range of health problems. Since she has been at the nursing home her life has changed for the better due to the excellent care she has received from all the team there but especially from the care home manager. He has been so supportive of us and ensured Mum's well-being throughout.
Having taken care of my mum at home for nearly three years and knowing first-hand the difficulties the team face, I am very certain that mum would not be with us today if she had not received the care and attention that the manager and his team have provided.

I can highly recommend the manager and his team to anyone who needs this service, it has been a godsend for us and my mum, if you need this kind of assistance do not hesitate to contact the nursing home as soon as possible. Thank you so much to all the staff who daily give my mum the support she receives.

An absolutely outstanding care home that gave my mother the best care possible until she sadly passed in October. The staff are amazing, caring and compassionate. The home is always clean with a nice, jovial atmosphere and the staff spend individual time with their residents. I would highly recommend it for a loved one who requires full-time care and support.

The food was excellent, the kindness shown was the best, and the staff were always smiling. It was a great relief to us all to know he was receiving excellent care in his final months.

That my brother was accepted for nursing care after such a stressful, difficult time was a relief. We immediately knew that he had entered a welcoming, friendly, protective and caring environment. Knowing he was terminally ill was difficult for him to process, and on the days when he was angry, all staff, particularly the manager, pulled out all the stops to make him feel secure and protected in such a compassionate and patient manner - way over and above the norm. My husband and I (and through us, the rest of his family) were kept well informed at all times. We cannot praise all the staff enough and thank them sincerely.

Brooklands is the nearest to a home-from-home experience that you can get for a loved one. It is never an easy decision to place a loved one in the care of another. My mum lived with me until I could no longer meet her needs. Brooklands has a dedicated and consistent staff team (which is rare to see in social care at the moment given the current challenges it faces) which reassured me that Mum would get the support she needed. She was treated with kindness, dignity and respect throughout her stay and in her final hours. This gives me as her daughter great comfort and peace for which I am forever grateful.

My mother has been a resident here for nearly 3 years. The staff provide her with the highest level of professional care combined with tender and compassionate attention to her needs. As her condition has gradually deteriorated the staff have constantly monitored her medical and physical needs and kept the family informed at all stages. Every time we visit we are impressed with the rapport that the dedicated and ever-cheerful staff have with my Mum who does not speak very much but smiles so happily with all her carers. She is treated with love and dignity and it is a tribute to their care that her condition has remained stable for much longer than we could have hoped. It is such a relief to know that she is so well looked after in a safe environment that feels more like a real home than a nursing facility. The staff work amazingly hard to maintain incredibly high standards but they are all happy to make extra efforts to ensure visitors and residents have everything they need.

My mum lives in this home. She is cared for by very professional nurses and carers.
She is end of life now, and the care is truly amazing, nothing is to much bother, the staff keep us informed on how she is doing, especially at the moment as we can’t visit as we would normally, all staff are in full PPE to keep my mum safe. My mum has a bond with all staff members that deal with her, and I can only really say they treat her like family, and I feel it’s not just a job for them, and I thank everyone who works in the home for the care they give my amazing mum.

The manager has been amazing in running this home. Nothing is to much trouble if I need to talk or need any information, he is always there to help. I hope he becomes the permanent manager in this home; he has so much compassion for my family at this very hard time.

My sister in law was in Brooklands for a number of years and the level of care and understanding of their resident's needs was excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for the residents and visiting family. They keep the family informed of any problems that might occur, good or bad and you have good access to care plans to follow your family members care and health needs. Extremely happy my sister in law was living in Brooklands because there is a very kind and loving family atmosphere to the home.
