Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. My nan has enjoyed the entertainment in the home but is also able to rest and relax in her room. We always feel welcome to visit.

My mother was admitted to Haven Care Home in the beginning of March 2022. Right from the start the staff treated her with warmth, kindness and caring for my Mums needs always with a professional manner. My mum could not speak, due to the stroke she had in January. Within a couple of days of being admitted to Haven my mum's speech and sense of humour come back. I believe this was due to her lovely surroundings and wonderful care from the staff.

My father was in the Haven from October-November. He had a rare illness that the care home had not seen before. My father received the utmost care from the staff, and we, as a family, were looked after when my father sadly passed away at the end of November 21.

Following a second stroke, my mother was transferred to Haven Care Home for continued rehabilitation. It was extremely comforting to receive a phone call from Haven Care Home to say that my mother had arrived safely and was being helped to settle in. During my mother's stay she was at times very confused and distressed but the staff were all very patient, caring and professional. Together with the support from the community physio, the staff used the equipment provided for safe manual handling during my mothers care. As a family, we are all very grateful to all the staff at Haven, clinical and non-clinical staff, for the care given to our mother/nanna.

I was pleasantly surprised how nice the decoration was, and more importantly, all the staff we came in contact with were so friendly and helpful.

One, in particular, spent time with us explaining the situation and spent time with us, not rushing at all compared to how one normally is treated in the care facilities.

I have recently spent just over two weeks at Haven Care Home - what a lovely place! The staff are all very caring and helpful, nothing is too much trouble - always very friendly, helpful and willing. I was given a nice room with a television and a lovely view, it had an en-suite toilet facility that I found especially good. The catering was excellent, menu always varied and a daily choice - all nicely presented. Overall, I had a nice stay!

My mother has been at Haven for over a year now and I have nothing but praise for all the staff in the home and the wonderful job that they all do, especially in such difficult circumstances. I am always informed of any changes and support my mother is requiring and the manager is always available should I need to clarify anything. It’s reassuring to know my mother is in such great care.

Haven Care Home is outstanding, the standard of care even through Covid has been to a very high standard and I can't thank the staff enough for all the hard work, support, love and care they have given my nan. I call most days and speak to both staff and the manager, the communication is excellent. If I've had a concern or simply want to ask a question the manager is always on hand to put my mind at ease, his knowledge within his role is exceptional. I'm assured via video calls that my nan is living her best life and this is all thanks to the current manager and staff. I'm so glad I chose this home, it's by far the best in the area.

My mum was at the Haven for around 2 years. The staff were such nice people, always willing to help and they were such a comfort towards the end of my mum's life. During the pandemic, the staff and the management stayed in touch with me and kept me updated when I couldn’t be with my mum and without their kindness and support it would have been far more difficult for me and my family. They are all angels! Thank you for looking after my mum so well. I would highly recommend the Haven to anyone.

My mother-in-law has been a resident of the Haven since May 2020. I am very happy with the service the home has provided during this extremely hard time. Having been unable to see my mother-in-law due to covid 19, the home has made every possible effort to enable us to keep in touch with her, through window visits, a pod especially designed so that we can see her face to face, video calls and telephone calls. The staff at the home have been lovely, always happy to talk and discuss the medical needs and general welfare of my mother-in-law. The management have been fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. I feel that I can contact them whenever I have a question.
