My father is well cared for and the carers are absolutely wonderful. He is safe and comfortable and I am updated with any changes by the home. The manager and staff are extremely helpful whenever I speak with them and are always happy to help. The home has come on leaps and bounds in the last year and I would recommend to anyone I know looking for care for their loved ones.

Very caring, gone above and beyond to help meet all my mum's medical needs, always available to talk to if I have any concerns, worries about her. Always ring if there is any problems with mum so I am aware of everything that is going on with her care. Would definitely recommend.

The carers are really lovely and very caring. Management, you could not find better and spend time asking if you are alright.

No food for diabetes.

Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Haven Care Home

Thank you for your lovely comments we do appreciate it. HC-One does not provide 'diabetic' food as such. Each Resident with diabetes has a diet-controlled menu that has reduced sugar. The Chef manages this at the home with the information provided by the team and the Residents themselves. This has...

It was lovely to see all residents included in the Christmas entertainment and the staff doing their best to include them and families in making them feel welcome. Keeping them in drinks and food, also keeping things festive.

I can't fault a thing. I really wanted to keep my mam at home until the end of life but it was not going to be. I am blessed with the lovely care and help my mum receives from all they really go out of their way in all aspects. A big thank you and for putting my mind at rest she could not receive better.

The strap at the back of my husband's legs attached to the wheelchair has been a bone of contention amongst other things. The new staff in high positions are more approachable and willing to listen and are making huge changes in a very positive manner. The changes are numerous and I am very appreciative of their efforts. Much improved but lots to be done!!

After spending ten weeks in hospital, Dad came to The Haven with a life expectancy of eight weeks.
Due to the high level of care and love Dad received, he spent his last three years there.
The Haven became Dad's second home and family. The love and care from the manager and all her team were exceptional and second to none.

We would highly recommend The Havens.

The Haven Care Home is an amazing place. The care is outstanding, not only the emotional support to the residents but to the residents' family members. The atmosphere is lovely and homely and welcoming. The care is outstanding and residents are treated with respect and dignity. Knowing my dad is here, I can be rest assured he is safe and happy which is a huge relief. All staff from carers to management are excellent.

The staff at this home are extremely good. The night staff, however, are a bit hit and miss.
Money needs to be spent to update residents rooms, particularly the bathrooms. My windows need replacing especially the bathroom which is too cold to use in winter due to the wind whistling through it!

There is a definite lack of staff which needs to be addressed. Overall I am very happy here.

Reply from Clare Sheehan, Careline Advisor at Haven Care Home
