Heffle Court Care Home is situated in Heathfield, East Sussex, in an area of outstanding natural beauty providing nursing and residential dementia care for up to 39 residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other progressive dementias, including trial stays, short stays, convalescent care and long-term care for individuals or couples.

Heathfield is a vibrant market town surrounded by beautiful East Sussex countryside. Took Dad to Heffle Court as we had to move him to a new home. Staff were very helpful and made sure Dad was well looked after. The room was spotless and smelled fresh. We were helped with putting Dad's clothes and possessions away. Can'tsay a bad word. The experience so far is excellent.

My mum was aged 92 when she had to go into Heffle Court. She had always been a very independent lady and found it hard to accept that she needed full-time care. In October 2023 she went into care and at first was very depressed and ready to give up. But the caring support the team gave Mum was exceptional
and after a few weeks, she settled and began enjoying being there. She loved the company and, although sometimes she could be very stubborn, the team knew how to win her round. I can’t thank the team enough for the care and support while Mum was there and she had a lovely Christmas as well.

My father was in Heffle Court for 10 days before he died, after 6 weeks in hospital. Every member of staff we met at Heffle Court was kind, compassionate and caring. As a family, we felt that the staff bothered to get to know him and cared about him and did their best for him.
When he died, the
deputy manager and the staff showed us such understanding and kindness and we will never forget that.
Thank you to all the staff for making my father's last days as comfortable as they could be. We will always be grateful.

My Mum's dementia was already quite advanced by the time she moved to Heffle Court. We were very impressed with the care, consideration and attention given to Mum by the friendly staff.
During Mum's last few weeks, we couldn't have asked for more. All the staff were so kind to Mum and to ourselves,

My mother was sent to Heffle Court from the hospital for a temporary stay before moving to her forever home. My mother has vascular dementia which presents her with many issues including a lack of appetite and delusions. I was quite anxious about how she would cope with the change of environment but
I needn't have worried. Alison and her staff made everything so easy for us. They were very welcoming calming Mum's fears and worries instantly. With the staff's encouragement and support my mum started to eat more, they diagnosed and treated her for depression which calmed her immensely. Everyone was so kind, caring and helpful. The home itself is clean and bright with many communal rooms. There are many activities laid on for residents to stimulate them. I can't praise Heffle Court and its staff enough and would highly recommend this home for temporary or permanent residence, particularly for those suffering from dementia.

Our mum is in Effle Court at the moment. She is beginning to settle down thanks to the staff who are brilliant.
It has a kind environment and the staff are always friendly and caring.
We have no experience with care homes or how they run but found Heffle Court to be clean, the staff helpful and caring

My mum has been at this wonderful place for four years, and I can honestly say I wouldn't want her in any other care home but this one. All the staff are friendly and compassionate and spend time really getting to know each resident. My mum is so happy here, and although her Alzheimer's has got worse,
I'm confident that she is being well looked after and has a better social life than I do! It's a happy place with lots of parties and celebrations, which each resident can be part of in their own way.

My wife has been n Heffle Court nearly a year now. She has been in the nursing unit for most of that time. I am well satisfied with all aspects of the care provided. the staff are friendly and attentive. I can rest my mind that my wife of 62 years is getting the help she now requires.

I originally placed my mother in respite in Heffle Court in 2014 so that, as her main and only carer, I could take some time out from my duties as I was extremely stressed at the time. My main concern with placing her in respite was that she could be very, very difficult due to her Alzheimer's and also
very aggressive. I needn't have worried as the wonderful and incredible people that work at Heffle showed such kindness and professionalism that I felt totally happy and indeed she stayed for an extra week so that I could fully recover.
In 2016 when it became impossible for me to continue looking after her the decision was taken to permanently place her into care so Heffle Court took her in and there she has remained since. I could not be happier with the fantastic service they have provided to my mother and I could not wish for a better place for her, all the staff are incredibly patient with both my mother and myself and I feel like they are an extension of my family.

My husband, ages 75-years, has had dementia for 8-years or so. He has been in Heffle for 18-months. I have always been impressed with how kind and caring the staff are, including everyone in compositions and activities of everyday life. My husband started there on the floor where residents were mobile,
but last summer, had a fall. He had two weeks in hospital for the hip, and back at Heffle, he went up to the nursing floor where for the last 6-months, has been very settled and well cared for. I've been impressed they are Covid-free. Now look forward to visits as per pre-Covid!

I am truly amazed and very grateful for the level of care shown by the staff at Heffle Court for my mother. They are wonderful. The level of care received is outstanding. It is an enormous comfort to me to know she is happy and very well looked after when I cannot visit as often as I used to. Thank

There's always a happier atmosphere even if some are low - they try to lift spirits. I sometimes wonder if all residents are getting enough to drink and eat, even though there is always plenty of food available - some may need help occasionally.

My wife has been a resident of this care home for more than 18 months. The home is well maintained with excellent facilities and is very welcoming to residents and visitors alike. The staff are warm, friendly and very caring to the residents, with a kindness and compassionate approach that I cannot
speak too highly of. Suffice to say - My wife is happy and settled here and I am very lucky to have found such a haven for her to cope with her mixed dementia condition.

My Mother has dementia and been a resident of Heffle Court for the last five years. She had been living elsewhere for a few months and I was extremely happy when we were able to move her. Heffle Court is one of the most wonderful places and has a brilliant attention to both residents and their families.

In early 2016, I decided along with professionals that my mother at 95 years needed to go into care. Living 5000 miles away and being an only child, the emotional stress I was experiencing having to find a care home I felt suited my mother's needs, care and safety was so important.


After visiting

the list of homes given to me, none were suitable, to put it mildly, I then came upon Heffle Court. I knew from just entering the home, the tour and the facilities and listening to the carer showing me around I felt there was care and love for the residents. It has been 18 months and I can only say my mother has settled in, looks relaxed and is so well cared for. No one wants to make the decision to put one's parent into care, but I would definitely recommend Heffle Court.
