We have been visiting Heffle Court Care Home with Nursing since August 2016. The staff are all always friendly and helpful and always offering a cup of tea. The residents are cared for well, the staff are always on hand and caring.

Activities are always offered. Plenty of drinks for the residents. The cleaners are also very caring towards residents offering to clean glasses and offering tissues for sneezes.

My mother has been well looked after during her time here for 14 months so far. The care staff and other staff are friendly and make a real effort to give the residents as good a quality of life as possible. I feel I can trust them which helps a lot. For most visits, I come away feeling positive.

Overall Experience

My overall assessment of this home is that "care" is the key word. I cannot speak too highly of the staff's attitude, both to the resident and to me. The atmosphere is friendly, but nonetheless, quietly efficient. I feel the level of staff could be increased to enable more individual contact and care and to make it more possible for the existing staff to be effective. I do feel there are occasions when they need to be in more than once place at the same time. That said, there is never any sign of panic. I feel staff training must be good.to obtain the level of competence shown.

My requirements are; safety; physical and (as far as the illness allows) mental well-being; maintenance of dignity and respect for his wishes. All of these are delivered.

The building and contents are looking "tired" but aren't of primary importance. Laundry has been a problem: 2, possibly 3, tweed jackets put through the washing machine - not acceptable but complaint being followed up.

My father has not been the easiest of residents to deal with, however, the staff and management have been wonderful not only with him but in trying to make things better for him. They go out of their way to think of ways to bring him out of himself. I am constantly overwhelmed by their kind, caring and understanding attitude to what can be very volatile situations. I simply cannot praise this home and it's incredible staff and management enough.

My aunt was very poorly when she came into Heffle Court. They have built her up, made her sociable around others, her weight has increased and she is happy in every element. A fantastic service and home. I would recommend Heffle Court to all my friends.

The home is very caring and the staff are always kind and make the patients comfortable and give them love and personal care attention which is so important. My husband has been in Heffle Court for two years and he has been very well cared for. The staff are warm and give lots of love to each patient. There are activities available to those who are able to participate which is excellent. Staff work very hard to make life as pleasant as possible for everybody.
