Honestly, it is more like Butlins than a care home. They put on so many fabulous events for their residents and the staff absolutely get into the spirit. My father's health and disposition is so much better since he has been there.
Hope to see you soon.
Kindest regards
Susan and Team
I have attended several special events - the last being Burns lunch and entertainment. Always excellently organised and inclusive. Lovely meal and a singer who always engaged the interest of the residents and guests. I visit day regularly. He's always clean, well-dressed and happy. He has dementia following several strokes, resulting in him moving to Mais House where he's had a new lease of life. There are weekly events that stimulate his senses. I love visiting him there.
See you soon
kindest regards
Sing-song and excellent food and service.
A great time was had all our group of relatives and friends.
kind regards
The entertainment was very good, and well organised, and speech by the major.
Program on Burns with pipes etc. Great. Singer entertaining, good voice, various karaoke types. Hope to attend next year.
Glad you had a great time, see you at the next event!
kindest regards
Mais House has a lovely calm atmosphere whilst still carrying out the important job of caring for its residents in an efficient manner.
hope to see you again soon
kindest regards
This care home is absolutely fantastic, today I turned up unexpectedly, and I was offered to eat lunch with my grandma, the food was very tasty! The home has such good vibes and always very friendly staff, who make a fuss of my children and welcome us happily.
kind regards
Very friendly staff who were happy and eager to cater to all of our needs. The rooms and communal areas are all very clean and well-decorated with plenty of natural light. The staff are all very polite and courteous to my granddad who gets on well with them all and is able to have a laugh with them all.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. So pleased you find the staff to be friendly and welcoming to both you and your grandfather.
A lovely clean, bright place with friendly staff. The rooms and garden look very well kept.
Thank you for the positive response. Hopefully, you will be able to join us later in the year when we will be able to make full use of the gardens at one of many planned events.
We sat in the main dining room with dad, myself and mum.
The food was very good thank you, and all the staff were very kind and attentive!
They kept our glasses nice and full and couldn't have been more helpful. We could see other residents on their own being looked after by the staff which was good to see.
All in all, a very pleasurable experience - thank you.
Many thanks
We felt very welcome when we visited Mais House. All the staff are very friendly and caring.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Mais House. We are pleased you felt welcome in our home and look forward to seeing you in the future.
This is quite possibly the nicest home I have ever been to. The staff are the kindest, they treat their residents with the utmost respect and provide the highest standard of care. The care home itself is extremely clean and well looked after, it feels like a real family home. I know when I get old this is the place I'd want to be put. I really couldn't put in enough words as I could go on for a long time.
Thank you for writing such a lovely review and please your visit to see your grandfather at Mais was a positive experience for you. We will pass your feedback to our team.
Very happy stay.
Thank you for the feedback. I will of course let the team know.
Hope to see you again soon.
kind regards.
The visit was excellent, it was the first time I have visited my grandpa where the link has been open to visitors too. Although we still end to his room for the duration of the visit it was lovely to see the other residents and see my grandpa with his friends. Staff were lovely and welcoming as per usual and there was a good variety of events on for the week.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit to see your grandpa. It is lovely that we are able to safely open the communal areas to visitors after the challenges of the past couple of years and for friends and family to experience the true atmosphere of Mais House.
Mais House continues to provide outstanding care and provisions for my father. The home is immaculately clean, the staff are amazing, the food is fantastic. I can find no fault with this care home. I just wish my mother had been so fortunate to have experienced such a fantastic environment.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are so pleased you are happy with the care and support we provide at Mais and hope your father continues to be happy here.
Thank you all.
kindest regards
The staff we encountered were polite, efficient and helpful. We were given privacy so that we could talk and look at family photos. My aunt seems both happy and stimulated. She is enjoying the food and being well cared for.
Thank you Tracey. It so important to have that quality time with friends and family and remember times gone by. We are so pleased your aunt appears happy with us.
My father has been a resident here for 7 years and has always had the best of care. The staff are wonderfully caring and considerate and we now count many of them as friends of the family. Dad sums up Mais House as 'the best hotel he's ever been in'!
Thank you, that is so nice to hear. We will pass your kind words on to the team, who as you said, support our veterans with care and consideration. It is a privilege to be able to care for your father and for the team to be appreciated for what they do.
What a lovely place. Lovely, friendly staff, they go the extra mile to make residents feel welcome and comfortable. I feel at ease knowing that our relative is very happy there and very well looked after. A range of amazing activities for the residents to do too! Thank you all.
My dad is 98-years-old and has lived on his own since my mum died 9-years ago. After a stroke and various falls, he started having carers but was adamant he didn't want to go into a home, but after a fall and 8-weeks in the hospital, we persuaded him to go to Mais House for some respite, although he would only agree to two weeks! He went to Mais House on the 21st of February, and we visited on the 22nd, and to our utter amazement, he had already decided he wanted to stay permanently. He was sitting in his comfy chair with his glass of wine looking as if he had always been there. It is such a relief to know he is being well cared for, and the staff are amazing! Everything is done for him and there is a social side too if you want to join in. We never thought we would see the day that he was happy anywhere other than his own home, so thank you Mais House, for making him feel so settled.
