We are very happy with the care Dad receives at Mais House Care Home. All staff are very attentive towards him. Always friendly towards us too, as family. This week we had been visiting Dad during the week as my brother and I are on holiday. The four of us have had lunch in the lounge bar and it has been a real treat being together and having lunch together. Lovely food and great staff looking after us. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Susan & team.
The service was very good. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was nice and didn't take long to come. They repeatedly asked if we wanted anything and were happy to help. My grandad was very well cared for, and there seemed to be a lot for him to do. The overall experience was great.
kind regards.
Despite the rain, Mais House had an excellent Fete on the 5th of August. All the staff worked so hard to make the afternoon a success. There were lots of stalls, i.e. raffles and bands played during the afternoon. Thank you all for your hard work to make it such a success.
Kind regards.
I was a visitor at Mais House for the first time. The staff were very friendly, and I had a very comfortable feeling when entering the building. His room was very good, and it was nice to see he had been able to take some of his own furniture. The food was good, and was nice to know that the menu was very appealing. He seems to be very happy there.
Kindest regards.
I came to visit my uncle with my parents and brother. It was a wonderful occasion. The staff could not have been nicer to us; they were welcoming, friendly, cheerful and kind. The lunch that was served was delicious and the lady that served us was so nice and took particular care of our mother, 91. She was polite, courteous, considerate and so attentive. Our uncle said a couple of times how much he liked being at Mais House.
kindest regards.
Excellent food and care throughout our lunchtime visit. The home was super clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, particularly towards my 91-year-old mother (also a visitor). Special mention here to the staff. I could see that my uncle, who is 99, feels happy and safe in the environment of Mais House.
Greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Susan & Mais Team.
I am a serving person of the RAF of 32 years.
Mais House is perfect for any veteran.
Kindest regards.
My wife and I took a good friend to the home to spend the last good years of her life being looked after in the best possible way at the Royal British Legion. This was our second visit and was very pleased with everything we saw and felt and the food was excellent. All the staff we met seem to enjoy their work, a good sign. We were pleased to leave our friend in their capable hands.
We look forward to seeing you both soon.
We have had a very good experience of Mais House, from the first day my father arrived here. All members of staff are respectful and sensitive to my Dad's needs. We feel reassured and happy to know he is in the right place.
kind regards.
Mais House has been excellent in caring for my Mum. We couldn't have asked for a better care home. They treat her like family and we know she is safe and cared for an she is happy there.
kindest regards
Mais House is excellent. All their staff are so welcoming and friendly. They provide a personal service and the level of care they have shown my mother-in-law is outstanding. We are so happy with the work they do to ensure my mother-in-law is cared for like she is family.
kindest regards
A very pleasant, relaxed environment to enjoy a family gathering for Mother's 96th Birthday.
kindest regards
Family gathering - very accommodating - provided a room, refreshments and friendly service.
Hope to see you soon.
kind regards
I was at Mais House in July 2022 for 5 weeks of respite care. I was well cared for in that period. the staff were very attentive and kind throughout my stay. Good food and a varied menu always available. Excellent care.
kindest regards
We came for lunch at the care home on Easter Sunday. All the staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The room we were in and the table was set up like a fancy restaurant with added Easter decorations. Everyone who works at Mais House has always been attentive and friendly to us, the visitors, but more importantly, to our relative resident. Everyone seems to genuinely care about his health, wellbeing and happiness.
Kindest regards.
The manager and team.
Generally, a great home giving good care. Could do with more staff at weekends, this is really needed though.
See you soon.
kindest regards
Very impressed by - the continual and available care for my friend, the friendliness of the staff, they would go out of their way to help him. The pride the staff had in their work. The teamwork among the staff. The leadership I sensed throughout the staff. The way the staff met what in many ways were significant challenges with cheerfulness and a whatever it takes attitude.
kindest regards
My friend spoke very highly of the staff and the care he received.
There was a very good feel about the place and I was aware of activities going on for the residents.
On leaving, I was encouraged next time I visited, to stay for lunch.
They also have many activities and entertainment for the residents.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. Please feel free to book in for lunch and try our menu. We look forward to seeing you soon. Kindest regards.
Celebrating my father-in-law's birthday, combined with the Burns celebration, at Mais House Care Home was excellent. Staff worked very hard and the food was of a very high standard. What kept the whole time going with a swing was the excellent male singing (top marks). I have nothing but praise for the manager and her whole team who looked after us well.
see you soon
Burns lunch and Father-in-law's birthday - the whole afternoon was a delight. Bagpipes, piping in the haggis, whole beautiful meal and Burns poems beautifully read. Live music from a very talented singer, birthday song and cake for my father-in-law and the Mayor's speech. Wonderful all-round and congratulations to the staff in all sections of Mais House.
Kindest regards
