Exceptional Care home, my dad is so well looked after. He's happy and most of all he says I go to bed at night and feel safe. I go to bed at night knowing he is safe. I couldn't ask for anything more. From housekeeping support workers and management they all do an amazing job. Thank you to each and

My husband and I visited our friend, and our first impression was WOW! Such a lovely, clean and welcoming care home. The staff were very kind and couldn't do enough for us. We were shown around and explained everything. Our friend's room was very cosy, and she settled in and felt comfortable very quickly.
I do not have a bad word to say; in fact, I think your care home is incredible.
Reply from Karen Farmer, Business & Performance Manager at Maurice HouseThank you very much Susan for the kind review; its nice to know your friend has settled in well.

I want to thank the entire personell who cared for Sue when 2 seizures. Impeccable care, so supportive to me. I stayed all day and night and given food and drink. Constantly checking Sue nothing was too much trouble. The money I pay for Sue's care is worth every penny. She has been here for 13 months
and has given me much pleasure when I visit. Please give all people who cared for Sue a medal. Well done again.
Reply from Jo-Anne Wilson, Manger at Galanos HouseThank you for your review. Your feedback means a lot to us. I am so pleased that you feel your wife is being well cared for and that we are extending that care to you as well

My first impression of Halsey Hoyse when initially phoning, then visiting to view on behalf of my mum, was how helpful and kind the administration staff were. The building itself was spacious and clean, and I was impressed with the various communal rooms and the main dining room.
During the four months
that mum was a resident, I was happy with the standard of care (although I sometimes felt that the carers were overloaded). The nursing staff, housekeeping and carers were all very kind and cheerful and did their best to make mum's last months as comfortable as they could. Her room was always kept clean and I was impressed with the standard of cleaning in the ensuite.

I only visited once, but was impressed with so many aspects of this care home. To start, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff was comforting. The dining room had the atmosphere of a restaurant and the menu could be tailored to suit individual tastes. There was a lovely garden where residents
could go out to or be taken whenever they wanted. Altogether very impressive. My friend sadly was only there for a short time but he had the very best ofcare.
Reply from Susan Knight, Registered Manager at Mais HouseThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and positive review of Mais House.

Today I attended "arts uplift" which is an 1 1/2 hour class for the over 65's. It's an incredible space with a wonderful teacher have learnt so much. Tomorrow I will be there for a Tai Chi class which will give me a chance to help with my fitness. The cafe provides good food and drink at very reasonable
cost, great selection. I go to the the men's shed and am slowly learning how to operate things and make wooden items. It's a great place to be.

From the moment I arrived to the time I left, every member of staff I met was professional, caring, and friendly. We had lunch in the dining room, and I met several residents who had "adopted" my brother-in-law and made him feel welcome. The food was excellent and properly cooked. The dining room staff
were all very friendly and helpful, and the service was prompt and attentive, better in fact than some supposedly good restaurants that I have patronised. I was impressed with the range of optional activities available, and the room was pleasant.

Our mother was a resident of The Mews for the final 4 years of her life. We could not have been happier with the level of loving care that she received over this period.
My daughter and I searched for over 2 years for the right care for her. We do not live local to Taunton but reasoned that the right
Care Home was better than the most convenient Care Home. The moment we crossed the threshold of Dunkirk Memorial House we knew we had found the right place for her.
Over the years she was a resident we never doubted our choice. She and we, her family, were beautifully looked after.
Her final days were managed empathetically and calmly. We cannot thank you enough for making a difficult time for us all as easy as it could be.
Thankyou from us all for all that you do.

Dick came Mais House for a rest bite break.
As this was the first time for him to be away from me as his carer, he was apprehensive.
My sons visited him in my absence and always found Dick happy, though one occasion he was tired( this is normal for Dick as he sleeps a lot at home.)
He is difficult
to assess as with his dementia he is often very forgetful. My opinion is that he has been very happy though home sick and missing Daisy, our small dog.
We, the boys and myself have been impressed with all the staff, who although busy are friendly and very helpful.
Dick had a well found room with en suite with all he needed. All was spotless and I found was perfect for his privacy as needed.
Thank you Mais House for looking after Dick so well, it made a huge difference to my break knowing he was so well cared for.
He seems to have made a friend in Ron and he said he would like to come and see him.
Sue

1. Inquiry - RBL Galanos House, was welcoming, answered my questions, felt safe and listened to.
2. Application - process was clear and exceeded my expectation. It covered eligibility, the forms 'This is me' and 'accessibility' were so goof to have mum voice.
3. Visit - mum was nervous, but this
disappeared instantly with the welcome, friendliness and your which exceeded her expectations. Liz, our guide respected and talked to mum all the time. It felt safe and mum noticed that as she was shown around. The pace of the tour was at mum's pace. No rushing and answered all questions with knowledge and passion. Residents, maintenance man, carers and others all spoke to mum using her name and it felt like a happy place but more than that it felt like a special community. It was a personal visit, thank you for making it special. Before leaving mum met Sarah, deputy manager, who like everyone focused on mum and her experience and asked if mum has any questions? Just the one; 'when can I move in?' - two hours and a life changing experience of which as her daughter was wonderful to hear - she made her own decision and I'm so proud of her but I'm also so grateful to all the staff at Galanos House.
4. Transition - Assessment for mum's care and accessibility was thoughtful and thorough. Mandy, thank you. Moving day was special, having lunch with mum in the restaurant helped us all. Mum's room looked great. The furniture was set out well, and we loved helping mum unpack as so many residents and staff popped their heads in to say hello to mum, wonderful. The online financial set up was easy.
Visiting mum is wonderful, she has a voice and is enjoying herself and the staff, careers and new friendships are special already. I'm so proud of mum and so grateful to RBL Galanos House and all the staff. Mum lost her soul mate, my dad in May this year, and now in September she's not alone and in a wonderful community. Thank you xx

I am very grateful to the lovely, kind staff at Mais House, Bexhill , who are looking after my dear father-in-law so well.
He has been visiting Mais House for respite care over the past three years, but has now become a permanent resident.
The staff are always so helpful, patient and kind to all
of those in their care. There are lots of activities for the residents to join in if they so wish and The Link area is such a nice place for them to sit.
I've joined my father-in-law for lunch there on several occasions and it's like a five star hotel! There's always plenty of choice, the portions are just the right size and the food is delicious and homemade.
Thank you for all you are doing.
