Both my mum and dad are residents at Maurice House, and as a family, we are very grateful for the care and support they receive. The staff are kind, caring and supportive, and it means so much to know that our parents are being looked after in a safe and welcoming environment.

The team have been supportive to both our parents and our family, and we really appreciate the time and effort they put into making residents feel comfortable and cared for. It is reassuring to know that there are people who genuinely care about their wellbeing.

My dear mum and I are deeply grateful for the exemplarily 'gold standard' end of life care given to my father. The very special carers at Mais House gave above and beyond, care that mum and I could no longer do ourselves for him. The plans which were put into place by the nursing staff, to ensure my father's utmost comfort, were extremely comprehensive and covered every possible aspect of his care most holistically. My father was kept beautifully, with the greatest of dignity. Even in the last days, when he lay with his eyes closed, his personal care, ensuring fresh changes of clothing etc., oral care; skin care; frequent checks on his position i.e. slight change of pillow position; turning him to relieve pressure points etc., and the consistent gentle and loving communication with him by all staff, was literally like watching angels at work - such was his care. If you could have a perfect last day with a beloved one, this was it for us. Mais House is a very special home.

I have recently lost me grandmother who was in a different care home in Leamington Spa. I cannot begin to explain the differences in the care that my nan and my uncle received. In Galanos House care and thought was clearly evident and it was so moving how Roy's end of life was treated in such a respectful and empathetic manner. Thank you all so much for taking good care of him throughout his time there, but particularly at the end of his life.

Every time I come to see Sue, it's a lovely experience all the staff greet me with a friendly smile from all. Caring for Sue they treat so kindly; it's a real pleasure. I chose this care home it has so many wonderful places to go, especially the fish pond and patio, where Sue and I can relax. You can walk over getting fresh air. Food delicious and wholesome. Sue has the best care she needs and it's gratifying. Well done.

Knowing our grandparents are in such kind and capable hands gives our family real peace of mind. Thank you to the whole team for everything you do. Your hard work, compassion and dedication are truly appreciated, and we couldn't ask for more.

Beautiful care home, that makes you feel that homely feeling.when you are there. Staff are so helpful and friendly. The Manager herself goes out of her way to make sure staff, residents and family and friends are happy. She always as the time to listen to everyone.

Mais House care of my parents has been amazing all members of staff are so caring and helpful !!They are so welcoming and friendly to all visitors and the dining room is as good as any 5 star restaurant.

I found the home, Mais House, Bexhill, to be very welcoming. From the very beginning all staff had a smile and were very helpful with anything I asked them. My husband and myself were invited to have lunch with my sister and were treated beautifully, the dining area was also respectfully and hospitably laid out, and the meal was wonderfully cooked. My sister felt so comfortable and safe and could not fault anyone or anything. I have not seen anything any better, and would happily stay there myself if I had to.

The care my partner received was excellent. Nothing was to much trouble from the staff they were all amazing. I was kept informed about everything to do with my partner how ever small it was, from Vivian

When Dad became unwell, together with a loss of his full mobility, we looked widely into choosing the best Nursing Home for Dad and we are very glad we chose Mais House. Mais is unlike other Nursing Homes, as it doesnt feel like a Nursing Home, but more like an extension to your home. All of the staff are so kind and always speak to you by your name. The Nursing care Dad has received from Mais has been 2nd to none and we feel very happy in leaving Dad in their care. The Grounds are very well kept and it is a pleasure to sit outside in the fresh air in the warmer months. Finally, not forgetting the kitchen staff, they do a great job also and the food, whether that be at lunchtime or supper, is always very good.

Since February when my husband was admitted we have found the experience so homely and everyone is so kind. You are always addressed by name and a friendly word, food is exceptional and homecooked and well presented.

Been visiting Dunkirk House for quite a few years now as my partner's Grandfather was a resident there.

As a Veteran myself, I've always been absolutely blown away by the care and attention the residents receive. I also love how the staff/charity maintain the military connection and traditions for the residents.

It's been an absolute pleasure visiting over the years and my partner's Grandfather could not have received a better quality of life in his final years.

If ever I need residential care, Mais House would have to be my first choice. I think I would be very happy there as everyone is so caring and patient and there is plenty to do if you want.

It has taken a long time for I to settle and this time has been so relaxing for him and me without the tension of too much stress. Staff have been so kind and he enjoys being in the choir. He is praised for his singing.

Sadly my mum had a stroke in late 2024 which left her needing nursing care. She has been a resident of Dunkirk Memorial Home since April 2025. In that time, I believe that Mum's care has been outstanding. I cannot praise the home enough. The care that she receives, the staff, the facilities, the setting, are second to none. Thank you, Dunkirk.

The care at Galanos is exemplary. The staff are caring, considerate and empathetic. They all take the time to get to know each resident and all of their family. The activities are super, the volunteers are wonderful and make it possible for so many residents to make memories, and the food is excellent. I really enjoy going to visit my father and I could not be happier that he is looked after in such a special and caring way. Thank you Galanos. You are wonderful.

I have known Sid for many years, and knowing he is cared for at Mais House gives me enormous peace of mind. The team at Mais House are truly exceptional and go above and beyond for both residents and their families. Every interaction I've had has been warm, caring, and thoughtful. From the friendly reception staff, to the wonderful kitchen team always offering a cuppa, to the incredible care staff who know their residents so personally and compassionately - the atmosphere is genuinely special. The grounds are beautiful, the activities are abundant, and there is such a strong sense of kindness throughout the home.

The best thing I ever did for Dad was to get him into Mais House. All the staff here have been nothing but really friendly, caring and helpful. Mais House has an excellent reputation and quite rightly so it's a class above any other carehome I have seen.

My wife has been a resident of Lister House for several years. She is very happy there. I visit at least 3 times per year and stay in the family guest room, we are separated, amicable. On my visit's I find all of the staff, from the cleaners to the nursing and admin staff are very professional, and friendly. A number of years ago my father got dementia. I had the dubious task of selecting his nursing home, so I have been in lots of homes. Lister House is the best one I have ever been in.

When visiting my wifes step dad, the care home felt very relaxed, happy and caring towards the residents. The atmosphere reflects the positive attitude that the care home management has built upon a daily basis. When dad arrived at the home, he was very poorly. With the atmosphere and the care, his health has been improved noticeably, which means he was able to celebrate his 91st birthday with his friends and family. The staff from the dining room, to nursing, entertainment, and domestic staff all made this afternoon enjoyable for him, which, as a family, we are very grateful.
