Woodside Hall Nursing Homes a fantastic independently owned nursing home located between the two small towns of Hailsham and Polegate in East Sussex and only a short drive from coast of Eastbourne.

Woodside Hall Nursing Home has been awarded Gold Standards Accreditation. All of the team at Woodside Hall have embedded GSF Principles and integrated them to fit the needs and care of residents so deeply for. This accreditation demonstrates the level of care and passion in ensuring residents needs and wishes are met when it matters most. Kindness, compassion and sheer love for all.

The care home is set in four acres of private gardens and woodland. The beautiful grounds which surround the nursing home make it a lovely, peaceful and tranquil place.

Residents can enjoy a visit to the hairdressers, regular visits from the Chiropodist and nutritional home made meals using fresh locally sourced produce. Residents can also benefit from visits from the loving and friendly registered K9 Concern Dog called Tilly.

At Woodside Hall, the friendly atmosphere ensures that everyone continues their daily life with personal privacy and dignity. Friends, relatives and guests are always welcome.

Woodside Hall is served by local General Practitioner on a weekly ward round.

The home is managed by a Director & Registered Manager who has been running the home for the past 26 years. On top of having extremely high standards when it comes to care, the manager also strives to make time for residents. The team also consists of highly trained staff including senior nurse, Registered Nurses, Head of Care, Care Assistants, Domestic/Maintenance Team, Chefs and Admin & an Activity Team, who each provide 24-hour support in a professional and caring way.

Amongst many other ailments, my dad has Dementia and Parkinson's and always got obsessed and agitated over many things. After falling and breaking his hip the anaesthetic needed to fix his hip adversely affected both these illnesses and sadly he can no longer do anything for himself. In Woodside Hall
Nursing Home he is always calm and very well cared for and the staff take great care of him. You can visit at any time which shows there is nothing false about his care so we would highly recommend Woodside Hall. Thank you for taking such good care of him for us.

This is my father's second stay at Woodside Hall. The care has been second to none and he has enjoyed his stays. The staff have been very professional and understanding and my father has often said how good the food has been. All in all a very pleasant stay for him.

We had lunch here today with mum which was very nice. Easter fair today which we looked forward to. The gifts were lovely as was the lady selling them. The clothing was OK albeit rather pricey. Unfortunately, the man selling them was very full on and pushy putting us off making any purchases. Now awaiting

If you have a loved one who needs care, Woodside hall is first class care. Each and every member of staff were gracious, respectful, extremely caring and considerate to both my sister and myself from the moment of contact and to any family or friends who visited my sister thereafter. I could come and
go with no restrictions on time and nothing was too much trouble. My sister's end of life care was exceptional and I don't know what I could have done without them.

Very nice room with TV and phone that you can use anytime. Food was good you had a choice each day. The staff made my stay so good because they said nothing is too much, they liked to make you happy.

Our mother and father started living here in August 2017. Sadly mum died, but the few weeks that she had here she really enjoyed. Your staff were very kind when she died and also helped my father of 91 to go to mum's funeral. It meant a lot to us as a family. Since then Dad has generally been looked
after very well. However, the staff have lost a very expensive hearing aid and his lower dentures. Also, he is checked only every 3 hours which we feel is not enough and have asked for him to be checked every hour.
We like the fact that staff write notes which enables us to know what treatment he has had for that particular day. We feel that this home is a cross between a hospital and a hotel. If I was ill at my age 61, I would be more than happy to be a resident in this lovely home.
A big thank you for all the staff who do a very difficult job very well. On behalf of a large and grateful family.

Mum found the room very comfortable and met her needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Mum reports that the atmosphere was lovely and she felt at home.
I rang her on the second day and asked if she was settling in and her reply was "settling in? I'm settled". I went on holiday with peace of mind.

Mother has been here for 5 months coming straight from the hospital as she could not go home. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the staff and whole set up. Nothing is too much trouble. Mother and her room are always clean, tidy and whole building smells lovely and nursing has improved mother's
leg ulcers totally, which district nurses could not achieve over several years.

My mother was a resident of Woodside Hall ten years ago and I was not impressed with it. However, having visited my friend since January 2017, I am very impressed with the difference of the Hall since it's refurbishment. It is clean, modern, bright, has lovely views and the rooms have good privacy too.
The management and staff are friendly and courteous. It just gives me a feeling of confidence that my friend is being treated fairly and with dignity.

Nearly 3 years ago I helped a friend seek a care home for his wife. It entailed visiting a few homes and we both came to the conclusion this was by far the best. When another neighbour required care, she did not hesitate choosing Woodside. The word care is "Woodside" in all aspects and she is very contented.
