I have found the Manager, James, medical team, office staff, cleaning, laundry and maintenance staff and care team, friendly, helpful and professional. Wanting to help and assist my friend, caring for her, and catering to and managing her needs. All the team, are willing to listen to her and if I have any requests that might assist the staff or my friend. They care for and assist my friend to a very high standard, especially when my friend is frustrated with life and not always at her best or communicating. PS : I have put "don't know" for activities because I know they happen but my friends does not like to join in, although the staff always encourage her and do try to find activities she might enjoy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of visiting your friend over the past two years. We truly appreciate your kind words and the trust you place in us.
See you soon!
James Ferguson
Both my Mum and me are really happy with the level of care provided.
The care staff and nurses are friendly, good natured and always on hand. James the manager makes himself available whenever needed and is always willing to help with any questions, queries or situations that may arise.
There is a very homely atmosphere with plenty of heart and good humour.
Many thanks for your kind words. The team work really hard to deliver a high standard of care to our residents. Your lovely review will be shared with the team.
Best Wishes,
James
The staff have been looking after my Auntie very well. Although I am unable to visit as often as I would like, I can always call for updates.
Thank you so much for your kind words, they will be shared with the staff team. It was a privilege to support your Auntie.Kind regards.
My mum moved into Regent House in November 2024. She had wished to continue living independently, but could no longer care for herself, even with her in-home carers. As a result, we made the difficult decision to move her to a nursing home. I was concerned about how she would do with the transition, but thanks to the wonderful staff at Regent House it has gone much better than I expected! Everybody has been so kind to her, and she has a whole new group of friends! All of the staff have really worked to get to know her and her individual needs. Prior to moving to Regent House, my mum was very isolated and rarely had visitors. I live in America so I'm not able to visit on a regular basis. However, I came to visit her to help with the transition and was delighted to find she was often socialising with other residents. I know this is due to the gentle encouragement from the staff at Regent House, and my mum is clearly much happier than she was prior to moving into Regent House.
As a family, we're very happy with the support and care my father is receiving. The team and management team are so easy to talk to and there for any questions we have. My father is safe and happy, he enjoys the food, cakes, and endless supply of hot chocolate. Would highly recommend it.
The team at Regent House made my dear Mum's last few months comfortable and sociable. A terrific group of dedicated care professionals who create a true 'home from home'. The carers and all staff were cheerful and supportive and it was comforting to know that Mum was in such safe and sensitive hands around the clock. I would strongly recommend that you consider Regent House if you are looking at Care Home options in the Brighton and Hove areas.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. The staff at Regent House work hard to deliver quality care to all of our residents. Thank you for your kind words, they will be shared with the team. Kind regards.
During the two years that my sister was a resident at Regent House she was very well looked after by the carers and all the support staff, and felt extremely comfortable and 'at home' during her time there.
It was reassuring to know that her needs were being attended as her condition deteriorated and I know that she valued the personal attention and support of the whole team. The professional and personal approach of the entire team has been hugely important during a difficult period, for which I am immensely grateful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Regent House Nursing Home to anyone considering residential care for their loved ones.
Hello, thank you so much for your lovely comments. These will be passed along to the staff team. Kind regards.
It’s very hard to see a parent have to stay in a nursing the guilt takes over but the staff have helped me.
The home is clean and warm, and young staff who interact with residents.
The team leader has a great team, I feel I know them as friends.
Thank you all so much for helping me during a tough time.
Kind regards.
Regent House, what a fantastic home the manager runs and all the fantastic carers, thank you for all the wonderful care you provided to my mum and dad, much appreciated. We felt at home, there nothing was ever too much to ask. We felt very welcome to make tea and come and go as we pleased, also everyone is always smiling. I highly recommend this home-from-home nursing home to anyone. The manager is always on hand for advice or a chat. God bless you all, we, Mum and family will never forget you guys.
Many thanks, The team at Regent House.
My mum has been in several different care homes over the last four years following falls at home. Recently it became clear that she really needed the extra support of a Nursing Home. We were very lucky that a place became available at Regent House Nursing Home, Hove. She loves it there and the staff are very friendly and supportive. She has had more fun there in the short time she has been a resident than at any time in the previous years. It is lovely for me to see her happy again too. She could not stop talking about being taken out along the seafront on a special bike, for example. I can now relax at last knowing that she is being cared for properly and having the quality of life again. Thank you all at Regent House.

Having spoken at length to our elderly friend who lives at Regent House Nursing Home, we are delighted that she speaks glowingly about the care and lovely staff at the home. She tells us that the manager is so kind and often pops in to chat with her, which makes her feel very happy as she particularly enjoys his company. She loves that a number of the staff go out of their way to spend time with her. Her room has recently been changed around and she is very pleased with this and prefers it to how it originally was. On the occasions I have visited her, the staff have always been polite, friendly and helpful. Once again, the manager in particular. I certainly get the impression he takes great pride in his job and truly cares for the residents. I would not hesitate in recommending this residential home.
Kind regards,
I sleep well at night knowing that she is well cared for and I am kept informed of her condition.
Thank you all for taking great care of her.
Kind regards,
Registered Manager.
This seems to me to stem from the flair of the manager and competence of the assistant manager together with some splendid nursing and loving caring, and good (in our case vegetarian) food.
We all mind how much this all costs in these difficult times but compared with other homes I visited this seems to me good value.
I waited to write this for six months and feel things have been steadily improving with the special quality of the manager.
My brother-in-law became a resident some six months ago following a hospital stay. Over the time he has been a resident I have been very pleased with the overall level of care provided. Since the new Manager arrived things have steadily improved month by month, he is always available for discussions etc regarding my brother-in-law's care and well-being. Under the new Manager's leadership, it is very apparent that the care team are performing at a very high and proficient level, well done to all the superb care staff.
Kind regards, Regent House Senior Team
