We came for Mother's Day on 31st March 2019. The staff had worked very hard and laid up tables to a very high standard. We had a lovely meal for Mother's Day. Everyone enjoyed the visit and staff are so helpful and friendly. The food was also to a very high standard. Well done!

The staff are so patient and kind with Mum and it is a joy and comfort to our family to hear her engaged with them in a happy way. The chefs are to be commended for the delicious meals - served in the beautifully laid dining room. Cavell House is a 'home from home' and the atmosphere is welcoming.

It was hard for him to have to accept entering a care home, however, the company, help, support and love shown to him have helped him settle and feel at home and over two years, really feel part of the family here. I cannot fault the care provided to Dad from all the staff at Cavell House. It was hard for him to have to accept entering a care home, however, the company, help, support and love shown to him have helped him settle and feel at home and over two years, really feel part of the family here. He eats like a king. His room is always clean and tidy and there always seems to be something happening. We couldn't be happier with his care.

The new manager from Autumn 2018 is approachable and has done a great job in bringing the care home to a better standard.
Sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with all the meals. I am pleased to inform you that we now have a new head chef in place and the menus will be revisited. I also would like to make you aware that there are always alternatives and other options available so please ask.

I can only say that she has sprung back to life despite her chronic Alzheimer's. She eats and drinks again and is visibly content. We appreciated all the hard work of the staff and praise the management skills of the manager, second to none.
On arrival to this site, I was well pleased to be met by the management and staff who all appeared very friendly and efficient. My room was lovely complete with television.

Myself and family members, when looking for a care home for my mother, were impressed with the fact that unlike other homes, this home had a lovely, happy atmosphere, no nasty smells and that the meals are cooked on the premises. My mother is happy and feels safe in her room although she does not...

Throughout her career, Amanda has specialised in supporting older people, particularly those living with dementia, and has a strong track record of leading high-quality care services. She has successfully managed and supported a wide range of homes, including overseeing multiple services as a Regional Director and Regional Support Manager, helping teams improve quality, achieve regulatory compliance and create outstanding environments for residents.
Amanda is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming home where residents feel safe, valued and able to live fulfilling lives. She believes in leading by example, maintaining an open-door approach and building strong relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues alike. Her focus is on delivering compassionate, person-centred care while supporting her team to achieve their very best.
