My wife was admitted 27th. June 25. up until Christmas my wife was nursed and cared for very well. After Christmas the home had new owners and they spent a lot of time and effort refurbishig up grading the home which made the whole experience of visiting my wife more pleasant. My wife died there...

My wife died there 24th.July 26.and was nursed sympatheticly to the end. All the staff seemed happy and were excellent in their duties.
Excellent service & care taken of my mother that was in your care for 4 years. Nothing was to much trouble, always greeted with a smile from all the staff. Always kept informed of her health. Would highly recommend.

Since I came to Cavell House Care Home at the beginning of January 2026 I have been incredibly well looked after. My health has improved and I have gained weight. I feel safe and secure and the food is excellent.

We moved our mother to the home on the 11th September but she died on the Saturday 13th September. The staff were so wonderful with us and our mother. We would highly recommend your home.

My father came into Cavell House aged 93, for end of life care, having been given less than a week to live. Here we are 3.5 years later and my Father is just about to celebrate his 97th birthday. Cavell House literally saved his life. They have supported him not only physically but mentally too....

Cavell House literally saved his life. They have supported him not only physically but mentally too. They have accommodated him every step of the way. He is a fiercely independent man and they have given him the means to be as autonomous as possible. As a family we know he is in the right place. He is safe, comfortable and looked after to a very high standard.

I find Cavell Care Home a friendly place for my mum to stay. The staff are constantly cleaning and making sure that the home is warm and welcoming. The nursing staff are reassuring. The management are professional. I'm more than happy for my mum to reside here.

We felt very welcome into the home to visit our aunt in her last few months. All the staff treated her with love and kindness. She always looked clean and well cared for. The room was bright and airy with a nice view of garden. Although our aunt had dementia and was easily distressed, we found her much more settled here than at her previous care home. We commend the nursing staff for their compassion and professionalism.

Amanda brings with her more than 35 years of experience in the health and social care sector, having progressed from a care role through to senior leadership positions across both national and independent care providers.
Throughout her career, Amanda has specialised in supporting older people, particularly those living with dementia, and has a strong track record of leading high-quality care services. She has successfully managed and supported a wide range of homes, including overseeing multiple services as a Regional Director and Regional Support Manager, helping teams improve quality, achieve regulatory compliance and create outstanding environments for residents.
Amanda is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming home where residents feel safe, valued and able to live fulfilling lives. She believes in leading by example, maintaining an open-door approach and building strong relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues alike. Her focus is on delivering compassionate, person-centred care while supporting her team to achieve their very best.
