My dear friend Brian has been a resident at Betsy Clara for 2 years with Alzheimer's.
The "challenging behaviour" his last care home reported seemed to disappear as he was warmly welcomed into the caring arms of Betsy's manager and her dedicated team.
Despite visiting at random times, Brian has
always appeared well presented and there is always staff available to watch all residents, nobody goes neglected.
If that is not enough, The manager has taken time to check in on me whilst I've been unable to visit due to illness, as well as providing pictures and videos of the residents .
Above and beyond!

It is over a year since my Husband went into care and I have nothing but praise for Balgowan.
All the staff are friendly and approachable and any concerns or issues are dealt with promptly.
Themed days are a great social experience, the last one being Greece, traditional food is served with music
and a quiz.
I am very satisfied with my husband's care and the attention he receives at Balgowan.

Having had a nasty fall which required hospitalisation for a week, and living on my own, I needed somewhere close to my home where I could be looked after for a couple of weeks.
All the staff have been wonderful so caring and helpful which has allowed me to rest and recuperate in safe and comfortable
surroundings.
I would really recommend this to anyone looking for help in similar circumstances.

Balgowan is a warm and friendly environment with a fantastic staff team that are compassionate, kind and patient. My dad loves Balgowan and often says 'I should have come here years ago.' My dad loves the banter with staff and all the activities, especially arts and crafts and the regular singers/groups
that visit. My dad is genuinely happy and the staff are attentive and always available to discuss any issues or queries I have. I love the atmosphere and the open and honest ethos. I cannot thank the staff enough.

Everyone has made us feel so welcome & part of the Hythe View family during a very difficult time in our lives. We are always greeted with warmth, kindness, compassion, and nothing is too much trouble. From D on reception, helping me with paperwork and doing all the wonderful activities. It feels like
a family. Hythe View went above and beyond so we could use the lounge to celebrate Mum's 80th, which we will cherish the memories forever. We cannot thank our lucky stars enough we are part of the Hythe View family.

My brother was moved to Balgowan after spending time at another care home where he had been placed by the NHS.
We were not very happy with the care my brother was getting.
After looking at other care homes Balgowan seemed a much better choice.
My brother is a difficult resident due to his condition
and requires lots of different types of care.
The staff are all very patient and caring. I am kept informed of any changes or problems regarding my brother.
I would would highly recommend Balowan to anyone looking for a care home.

My dad has been in Saltwood Care Centre since June this year. He has Lewy Body Dementia. From the very start, the staff were welcoming & caring to both my dad & to his family, and we very much hope that he will be able to remain here when the local authority begins to fund his care. The building and
the grounds are attractive and well-kept, with a large conservatory & also a patio outside for residents and family to sit. Most importantly, there is a lovely atmosphere here with kind and dedicated staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The activities team are brilliant; my dad is especially keen on the bands and singers that visit - music therapy for him, and I'm sure for many other residents, is so important and you can see how much everyone enjoys the activities. The management offer an open-door policy, so useful to family members, and they are open to discussion and suggestions and keen to resolve any problem. Close to my dad's heart, the food is tasty and varied!
