All of the staff are lovely.

My dad has been in Southdowns care home for a few months now and I couldn't be happier with the care he is receiving. Although he is nearly non verbal now he always seems very happy, relaxed and content. He always receives very nice meals and there is always someone checking that he is drinking well too. All the staff are amazing and take such good care of my dad, they are very caring towards him and always chat to him even though they don't get much back. They are always very polite and friendly to me and the rest of my family when visiting. The manager (Kerry) has been amazing with the whole process of my dad going into the home, she is extremely helpful and has fab communication skills which made myself and my family feel more relaxed. It's not a nice thing to have to put a parent into a home but seeing the love and care he receives in Southdowns has made the process much easier for us. We wouldn't want him anywhere else.

We have a relative here (a number of years now). Generally, his care has been excellent. Very welcoming caring staff. Our visit are always welcomed and staff are always responsive to telephone calls or any concerns are express. The environment of the home is a joy to visit. It's extremely clean, well-maintained, and decorated to a very good standard.

I found the home professional and caring towards my son. He had many challenging behaviours which were dealt with very professionally. His end of life care was excellent.

My brother is cared for with compassion, understanding and respect. The staff are very hardworking, committed and professional. My brother's preferences and choices are respected and met, and they listen with any concerns or enquiries I may have. The staff are very friendly welcoming and warm. My brother is included in all activities he likes to do. He is very well care for and happy. The staff always take the time to converse with my brother and are patient and kind, my brother has an acquired brain injury and is in a wheelchair, non verbal, but has understanding. The staff spend time with him one to one in activities and take him out in the neighbourhood. They email the family every week with an update of my brother's week. Swanborough House is a lovely warm environment. Recently it has been refurbished and looks really lovely. I am very happy with my brother's care there and the hardworking dedicated professional team who work there.

My friend was admitted from hospital to spent the last days of his life. Although he was only with you for ten days, he was looked after with great care and dignity. Everyone from the manager and senior nurse to the cleaners were wonderful.

All management and staff I feel have been excellent in caring for my dad over the 4 plus years he has resided there. They have supported him throughout, and have always notified me straight away if anything has arisen. My dad was well looked after and was always kept occupied with things to do and be involved in. The staff made him comfortable right up until the very end.

Overall happy with everything and the staff especially her Keyworker (Cindy) I like the way she is with my Granddaughter.

Staff were professional & friendly & helpful. We had an impromptu meeting with Kerry who was welcoming & attentive. My Father was treated with kindness & patience & we feel that he is in good hands. Keep up the good work.

Overall, very good. Disappointed not to see the lady at reception.

The food is very good, rooms nice and clean, garden is kept to a high standard which is lovely patients.

The home is very clean, beautifully presented and the staff are very friendly and attentive.

My son is very well cared for and respected by care staff and everyone in the home they handle his difficulties with his behaviour and disability and his acquired brain injury and personality disorder

The staff are always so helpful and treat my husband and all the family with care and respect we feel that Allan has the best support he can have. They know us all my name and treat us friends not family.

Roy has been here for two months from the 27th October 2025, he went in with Vascular Dementia and Southdowns Nursing Home is a big spacious home with its own individual rooms and spacious lounge. The visiting times are good, there very friendly and make you feel welcome. They need to improve on the food as I have given 2 lists of what he likes but they have been giving him food he didn't like. He is happy and always keen to see his family.

Our mum seems very happy at Southdowns we are all very happy with the level of care she receives. If we need to raise anything, it is always dealt with in a quick and measured way.

Excellent home very well run I can't fault it thank you.
