Excellent care 24 hours a day. The activities manager really creates a full programme of events each month, including trips in the minibus to the beach and theatre, e.g. pantomime.

My aunt was a resident at Saltwood for 7 years. During this time I could not have asked for a more caring and proactive team. She felt safe, cared for and loved. There was always company, many varied activities and good home cooked food which she enjoyed. As her health deteriorated the attention to
detail and the extra mile all the staff went to to keep her comfortable was second to none. I felt supported by the team at all times and comfortable that I could ask any questions at any time. Under the care, love and encouragement of this wonderful team my aunt was able to enjoy her final years and live well with dementia.

When my wife first arrived at Saltwood about 6 weeks ago, we were immediately made to feel welcome. Saltwood provides a homely atmosphere and the staff are friendly and supportive. My wife needs 24 hour care and lots of help with her daily routines. She is always treated with respect and dignity. She
now has limited ability to communicate but she is always encouraged to join in the various activities if she wants to. I visit regularly and when I leave I never feel worried that she won't be well cared for.

My husband has been a resident of Saltwood Care Centre for 3 yrs. In all that time he ahs been treated with kindness and dignity. All the staff are excellent including management. Nothing is too much trouble. They make sure I am ok too - a lovely touch.

Balgowan staff have looked after my parents from June 2025, I cannot fault the level of care there and the peace knowing my parents are safe & looked after.
Mum passed in Dec 2025 and Dad is looked after well and genuinely cared about.

Staff are excellent. Facilities are slightly tired. Lift appears to breakdown regularly.

This is an excellent home so caring and professional providing the very best of care for my elderly mother who now sadly is unable to do anything for herself. The carers and nurses we consider as extended family for her and we could not be more appreciative to them all and thankful she is there living
out the remainder of her days .

My Husband has been a resident for 18 months & we have been very pleased with his care. I always get a warm greeting & the atmosphere is mostly happy mainly due to Mo the activities lady. She keeps my Husband busy with tasks she sets him which is exactly what he needs. On one a occasion in his first
year there I rang him on a lovely warm day & said I will pick you up & we can drive to the seafront for an ice cream & he told me he was too busy to go!! Perfect x

My Mum is a happy resident at Saltwood Care Centre.She enjoys thoroughly her life in the home.The carers are always friendly and efficient and Mum likes the interaction
She participate occasionally in the daily activities and amusing entertainments.
The whole management is approachable and oversee
the wellbeing of residents.We can relay on their support in every aspect.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for continuing to take such wonderful care of our Alec.
He is my lovely grandpa!
Myself and my cousin Daniel live in the North West whilst auntie Sue has been staying down there to be there for him.
It was our first visit to the home, I've visited grandpa and
his wife Carol in Kent a few times.
I was really humbled by how clean, tidy and well organised the home is. The staff all feel so sincere and deeply caring.
This has really put me at comfort knowing grandpa is happy there! He seems to finally be resting and relaxing and enjoying his later life, knowing he is safe.
We are coming back for a Christmas visit next month - feeling grateful.

My dear friend Brian has been a resident at Betsy Clara for 2 years with Alzheimer's.
The "challenging behaviour" his last care home reported seemed to disappear as he was warmly welcomed into the caring arms of Betsy's manager and her dedicated team.
Despite visiting at random times, Brian has
always appeared well presented and there is always staff available to watch all residents, nobody goes neglected.
If that is not enough, The manager has taken time to check in on me whilst I've been unable to visit due to illness, as well as providing pictures and videos of the residents .
Above and beyond!
