I have always found the staff very friendly helpful caring and good at what they do they always tell you if there is something wrong they make you feel very welcome as a visitor and will always talk to you about what is happening and things that are being done like if they are taking the residents out for the day

Balgowan House staff were exceptional while my Mum was there. They genuinely care and are all very positive about the home. It is a real 'home'. My Mum was only there a short time, but I felt like we were with family. The home was always beautifully clean, very different from other homes I have been in. I am just so glad that my Mum came to Balgowan House for the most precious, but difficult time. I wouldn't have wanted her to be anywhere else.

My husband came to Hythe View after 5 months in hospital, and it has been an absolute breath of fresh air. All staff understand my husbands needs and have got to know him quickly. He is cared for constantly, with kindness, humour and sensitivity. My sons and I are always warmly welcomed and feel very much part of my husbands life - so important to all of us. My husband is so much more contented and really enjoying the attention he gets - particularly the haircuts, shaves and manicures! Staff work constantly to keep him engaged and smiling. I can thoroughly recommend Hythe View, particularly for its real warmth and excellent care.

I am very happy with the care my mum receives at Hythe View. In spite of her at times difficult behaviours, Hythe View staff understand the nature of her condition and are able to stand back and step forward as needed. We are treated with warmth, as part of the family when we visit and I feel I can say anything to staff if there is a problem. I wouldn't want my mum to go anywhere else.

My grandchildren, ages 4, 7 and 10, also enjoy visiting their "Pops" and again are made most welcome and comfortable in Balgowan. They especially enjoy the activity days and are always extremely keen to join in.

Staff are aware of his needs and couldn't be any more helpful, they are always very friendly and will answer any questions or concerns.

The care is of a high standard and the staff are always kind and caring to my wife and in fact all the residents.

From receptionist to interactions with all staff and management has been a great experience. The patience and dignity professionally shown has been a joy to behold and allows us as a family to relax and know that our mother is getting the best possible care.

Mum's time at Hythe View until her passing in August 2025 was amazing she was so well looked after always clean and tidy and regularly out of bed and into the lounge area for some form of entertainment.

I can't praise the staff and management enough not for what they did for mum but the peace of mind they gave to our family knowing she was safe and cared for.

I looked at many homes for my mother who has moved and decided on Saltwood Care Centre. Without a shadow of doubt I made the right choice. From the managers to all the carers everyone has been amazing. The building is always immaculate and never smells (not like most). Everyone cannot do enough for my mum which is all that I ask for. If you need to go into a home don't bother with any other one.

I will recommend the Hythe View Care Home to anybody or everybody who's looking for a home for their relative or friend. The care home is full of love and reliability. I have a brother living there for two years. He is very happy and very well looked after. The care home is very clean and managed with efficiency and kindness. The staff are reliable, kind and very friendly. There is a TV in every room, and there are concerts in the lounge.

Very happy with the care my mum receives. Staff are always friendly and polite. The care home is always clean, warm and secure. Mum has dementia and is unable to communicate; however seems very happy and settled at the care home. It gives us as a family peace of mind, knowing that Mum is safe and well looked after.

Excellent care 24 hours a day. The activities manager really creates a full programme of events each month, including trips in the minibus to the beach and theatre, e.g. pantomime.

My husband has been in Saltwood Care Centre for just over a year now- he is well cared for and staff are well trained and key aspects under home manager. Thank you provides good and social care too. Safe and secure home family support. Making you feel part of Saltwood family.

My aunt was a resident at Saltwood for 7 years. During this time I could not have asked for a more caring and proactive team. She felt safe, cared for and loved. There was always company, many varied activities and good home cooked food which she enjoyed. As her health deteriorated the attention to detail and the extra mile all the staff went to to keep her comfortable was second to none. I felt supported by the team at all times and comfortable that I could ask any questions at any time. Under the care, love and encouragement of this wonderful team my aunt was able to enjoy her final years and live well with dementia.

When my wife first arrived at Saltwood about 6 weeks ago, we were immediately made to feel welcome. Saltwood provides a homely atmosphere and the staff are friendly and supportive. My wife needs 24 hour care and lots of help with her daily routines. She is always treated with respect and dignity. She now has limited ability to communicate but she is always encouraged to join in the various activities if she wants to. I visit regularly and when I leave I never feel worried that she won't be well cared for.

My husband has been a resident of Saltwood Care Centre for 3 yrs. In all that time he ahs been treated with kindness and dignity. All the staff are excellent including management. Nothing is too much trouble. They make sure I am ok too - a lovely touch.
