The staff at St Joseph's are kind and patient, and they take very good care of my mother. She is so content and is very fond of the staff.
They are very welcoming to me and keep me up to date with her progress.
Regarding meals, her likes and dislikes are well catered for - they even remember her
favourite demerara sugar on her porridge!
Everyone is helped to take part in the activities e.g. bingo and singing. At Christmas, she was taken out to see the lights in the town. There is a beautiful walled garden where we love to sit together in the summer.
Whenever I visit, my mum is always nicely dressed. Her room and all the communal rooms are always clean and fresh.
I was recommended to St Joseph's, and I consider that we were very fortunate indeed that there was a room available when my mum needed it.
On days when I cannot visit or if I am away, I am always completely confident that she is in capable, kind and caring hands.

My mother spent the last 5 years of her life at St Joseph's. There are not enough words to describe the care she had from all the staff.
The warmth of St Joseph's hits you as you open the door. The staff are so friendly and experienced they offer total care and respect to all the guests. My mother
was not only cared for she was loved and for our family that was the most special thing.

My 93 year old mother had a fall and after a hospital spell I managed to get her into St. Josephs. I was so impressed with how accommodating and professional the staff were and the main thing for me was their compassion and friendliness. The quality of food was excellent and there was a nice mix of
young and and not so young staff but all embraced the 'one big family' aspect of St. Josephs. When Mum was struggling with her health, she had visits from some of the residents so all in all I could not have been happier with her care.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful care and attention my mother in law received in this excellent nursing home. Patients and guests are made to feel part of the caring family of St. Josephs. Smiley faces, nice clean facilities, very tasty food and it only took a few days for my wife and I to appreciate
that this is a very caring and homely environment. The management team are very watchful and helpful and, when asked, happy to discuss every aspect of the patient's care. Although my mother in law's stay was a relatively short one we could not believe how friendly and supportive the staff were. Every wish or request was acted upon immediately and in between times the offer of a cup of tea was most welcome. Although she was a practicing Christian there was no overriding religious emphasis, apart from the reminder around you that this is a convent, but a wonderful sense of calm prevailed. We found that even in such a small home other patients were friendly and keen to befriend any new intakes. I would recommend anyone to this wonderful care home be it patients in their final needy days or those seeking a secure and comfortable home in their latter years.
