However, they are often under pressure and cannot always respond to calls quickly. Probably not enough of them, especially at the busiest times of the day. This is particularly difficult for those confined to bed and needing the most help.

There has been a marked improvement since a new manager arrived. Things get done when requested and staff all appear to be happier and more positive. We hope things continue to improve, but we are aware this can only be achieved by employing and retaining good staff. The manager and receptionist are very motivated and are doing a great job over and above their roles.

The running of Pendean is of a very high standard.

Beautiful country house with lovely gardens. The food is excellent. The manager is kind and professional and many of the staff go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. I can't think of a nicer place.

I am very pleased that we have chosen Pendean House for me and my husband. The staff there are smashing and always happy to help. The food lovely, very good, we even had friends for lunch. We would definitely recommend Pendean House!

Pendean House Care Home has a caring staff who treat guests with respect, dignity and kindness creating a warm and welcoming environment. They are aware of personal needs and establish meaningful and rewarding relationships with guests. Residents are made to feel safe and secure. The well-equipped rooms are pleasant places to be. Pendean doesn't feel like an institution but more like a home. All in all, there are many factors combined to make Pendean a very special place.

Very happy with all the staff. They look after my friend beautifully. I always find all the staff to be very polite and happy and help you if you need anything. My friend is well looked after at Pendean House Care Home and I would recommend the care home to others.

It's proximity to the main road made it easy for visitors to find.

A much-awaited visit to see friends we had not been able to see for such a long time. A truly warm and friendly welcome. The staff in general were kind and caring and had such a very good sense of humour, as well as their evident passionate vocations in caring for their residents. Truly impressed and overwhelmed by the care and compassion shown not just to our beloved friends, but to us as well. So happy in the knowledge that our elderly loved ones are in such a safe, friendly and loving home. Cannot thank you all or recommend Pendean highly enough.

Following the short-notice closure of her former Care Home, my Grandmother was warmly welcomed by the Pendean House Care Home Team. They understood how unsettling the process can be and I have witnessed the extraordinarily high level of professionalism, care and devotion they have given.

The Management and Administrative Team, Nurses, Carers and Housekeeping Staff have all been tremendous. It has been a joy to build a rapport with everyone looking after my Grandmother and nothing has been too much trouble.

Due to family members being unable to visit for a protracted period of time, I have been made to feel at ease when asking both clinical and care questions on behalf of my family; nothing has been too much trouble and when my Grandmother has found things challenging, the staff have ensured her needs met, she is supported and feels settled.

I am sincerely grateful to everyone at Pendean for all the help and support they have provided to my Grandmother and the whole family.

Both my father and I have found the caring support given by all the staff excellent. No complaints at all, they give more than expected. Thank you so much. The food is varied and well presented and tasty.

Everyone was extremely helpful and responsive in accommodating my Mother-in-Law at quick and short notice. They showed compassion and wonderful care to our needs.

A good care/nursing home with very helpful and considerate staff (to the residents and relatives). The difficulties introduced by Covid and its associated restrictions were well handled with a good balance between society and continued support for residents and access for relatives.

Our experience of this care home has been absolutely outstanding. With such care, attention and responsiveness, my mum has come alive again. The staff have been fantastic. The organisation is superb, and the attitude throughout is just brilliant in every way. Thank you.

Mum has been at Pendean House for just over 4 weeks and we are both very happy that she is in a lovely home. The staff are all very caring, friendly and cheerful and happy to walk mum around the garden if she is up to it. She has a lovely large room with a wetroom bathroom. The staff help her shower and blow dry her hair for her. When she first went in she was unable to walk a few yards without having to sit down out of breath and she was not eating or looking after herself. Although she is at "end of life", she is so much better now and is managing to eat small amounts.
