Less than a five-minute drive to the nearest rail station, with plenty of local amenities on the doorstep, Westlake is proud of its beautifully maintained and nurtured gardens which both residents and visitors to the home can enjoy all year around. The home is also delighted to have received a 'Good' in their latest CQC inspection in July 2019.

Westlake has en-suite, fully furnished bedrooms which can be personalised, beautiful lounge areas with pretty views as well as elegant dining rooms in a relaxed atmosphere. A team of highly qualified and attentive staff really focus on the individual needs of residents with a bespoke care plan for each person.
Westlake House are delighted to be offering free Wi-Fi to residents and visitors. This allows residents more ways of keeping touch with their loved ones. Bedrooms are also set up with a Sky connection and phone line should you wish to make a private arrangement for this.

We think Westlake House in Horsham is a special place where 'good' is often 'very good', and more. It is warm and comfortable, clean and safe. The ethos is of care and kindness, dignity and respect. There is a warm welcome at all times, and at any time, for all visitors. Residents' families and...
We think Westlake House in Horsham is a special place where 'good' is often 'very good', and more. It is warm and comfortable, clean and safe. The ethos is of care and kindness, dignity and respect. There is a warm welcome at all times, and at any time, for all visitors. Residents' families and their guests are encouraged to be part of the Westlake community, to join in if they so wish, at meetings and celebrations, and also partaking of the House food. People look out for you - I know because I am here as one of my husband's regular visitors, together with his many friends. This inclusive ethos is promoted by the whole staff of carers, maintenance, food, activities, accommodation, cleaning, laundry and management - which at Westlake includes the Nurses and who are all wholly approachable and supportive. We thank Westlake House for looking after our loved ones and for making them feel happy, safe and well cared for.

Since the very first moment I walked in with my mum to view Westlake House, it felt welcoming, homely, comfortable and somewhere that my mum could live her best life.
The staff were then, and have been ever since, simply wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and it is obvious to me that the residents are front and centre of everything that is done at Westlake.
There is a very full and varied activity offering, including regular visits offsite to different local garden centres and places/events of interest. The food is fantastic, the dining room and gardens that they overlook are beautiful. The bedrooms and communal areas are also well decorated, looked after and have a comfortable feel.
All of the staff are just wonderful and the nursing staff are super attentive, responding to even the slightest of changes and/or concerns and keep me extremely well informed.
The staff were then, and have been ever since, simply wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and it is obvious to me that the residents are front and centre of everything that is done at Westlake.

I have been visiting Westlake for approximately 3 years as a veteran, my friend also a veteran became a resident in 2025. He spoke highly of his care and general welbeing at the home. I have found the staff to be nothing other than supportive & friendly during my visits.

Our mum is currently a resident at Barchester Westlake House Care Home and had been for nine months following two weeks respite care.
The home is always welcoming, extremely clean, warm bright and sunny.
The staff are also very welcoming, caring, available to answer any queries etc.

Westlake is not the nearest home to us however it was and is an excellent choice which I would not hesitate in recommending to anyone.
There has also been a new manager appointed in our time, her door is 'always open' and the manager is an asset to the team along with the admin assistant, home administrator and the whole nursing team and carers.
Mum is currently very poorly but I have peace of mind knowing she is cared for as well as I could if possible.

My father received two months of hospice care at Barchester Westlake House Care Home. The staff provided an incredibly high standard of care to ensure he was comfortable during his final moments. The family were able to spend many hours in the beautiful sunny garden with him. He enjoyed the delicious food and friendly atmosphere. Westlake House made such a difference to our family and I thank them deeply for going above and beyond in caring for my father. Their support meant that we made many precious memories at a very difficult and painful time.

The staff and home were very inviting. Reception area was bright and welcoming. Everywhere looked clean and comfortable for residents and there is a good mix of outings and recreation. Had a lunch there and the food was good. My brother is being well cared for and seems very content.

My friend spent his last three months under your outstanding care and he couldn't have been in better hands.

Barchester Westlake House Care Home and all care staff are wonderful. Mum receives excellent care with humanity and respect. All in care are encouraged to get involved in the social events and to make friends if they want to but are not forced to.
I would highly recommend Westlake House.

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am the General Manager here at Westlake House. Welcome to our website!My passion for working with older people in a nursing home environment started after completing an internship with the NHS in 2014, working in mental health services, specifically dementia. Since 2014, I have worked in a variety of social care roles, including nursing, residential and dementia homes as a Registered Manager and an Area Manager within a large disability Trust.
At present, I am completing a Professional Doctorate in social sciences, exploring the experiences and perceptions of providing person-centred dementia care within care and nursing homes in the UK with the aim of understanding how we can further improve patient care.
I am proud of being able to make a difference to people’s lives by providing high-quality care in a supportive, friendly and welcoming environment within Westlake House.

I enjoy working closely alongside our residents and their families to ensure that they receive the utmost level of person-centred care & support that they require, whilst also assisting them to achieve their goals no matter how big or small.

I came to the UK in November 1999. I began working in Westlake House in 2002 for 6 months and came back in 2004 until 2019. Now l’m back again after a 3-year absence.
Westlake has always felt like my hometown to me. Wherever I’ve been, l always wished to come back home to Westlake House. What a great Home, a great team and supportive management.

Now there is no greater job satisfaction than as part of the Westlake Maintenance Team giving the best possible customer service we can to our residents, fixing whatever needs to be fixed and sharing the experiences as we go out on one of our regular trips in the minibus.
Making a difference during their stay with us is what it is all about and getting to know the residents and their families and learning about their varied and amazing lives makes the job all the more enjoyable.
