Westlake House are delighted to be offering free Wi-Fi to residents and visitors. This allows residents more ways of keeping touch with their loved ones. Bedrooms are also set up with a Sky connection and phone line should you wish to make a private arrangement for this.

I personally do not have a big appetite but I feel the standard was let down by the food and its presentation. It seldom matched the printed menu and the vegetables were always overcooked and unappetising.

Westlake is like a home from home for my mother. She has been a resident for just over two years now and although it is not the cheapest home I could find, I feel that it is the best for my mother. In that whole time, she has been treated with care, respect and dignity. Whenever you walk in the door you are greeted by friendly faces who will always say hello even if they don't know me. The meals are very good and there is always a hot meal at lunchtime and also in the evening. If there is nothing on the menu that my mother likes I can ask for a sandwich for her or anything else. I visit most days and every day there are the same friendly, happy staff. If ever I have a question it is answered immediately. My mother does not often join in with the activities but they are varied and fun for other residents. I couldn't wish for my mother to be in a nicer home as she is unable to look after herself, and she certainly receives the care and attention that she requires 24/7.

My father received exceptional care during his two-week respite stay at Westlake in Horsham. He went there on discharge from hospital and was quite frail on arrival. At the end of his stay at Westlake, he came home a "different man" both physically and mentally.

I cannot praise all staff enough: their dedication is amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Westlake and hope my father will stay again whilst we take a family holiday next year. Huge thanks to you all.

I cannot praise Westlake House highly enough. The care and kindness shown to Mum, especially in her final days, and to us, were second to none. The nursing and household staff perform their duties both professionally and with an interest in their charges as individuals. An interest they extend to the family.
The facilities are smart and homely, the premises clean and the food tempting, particularly the cakes (how do they make a sponge so light?). Yes, the fees are on the high side but believe me you get what you pay for - quality care, compassion and comfort. Mum was happy therefore so were we.

Our Mum was a resident for about 4 months receiving palliative care. She was always treated with kindness and dignity and the care given was exemplary. This kindness and care were extended to my sister and me during this difficult time.

Hi, my name is Linda, and I am the General Manager here at Westlake House. Welcome to our website!
My passion for working with older people in a nursing home environment started with my first registered manager position in 2003. My career has also included positions such as a Practice Development Nurse and a Dementia Specialist. Before Barchester, I was a Director of Care for a luxury retirement village, commissioning both a nursing home and a domiciliary care service. This position involved managing, coaching and mentoring the registered managers.
I am proud of being able to make a difference to people's lives by providing high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive learning environment within an open and fair culture.
My door is always open for a coffee (or tea) and a chat, whether that is for residents, relatives or staff members.

My name is Yamil, and I have been working at Westlake House since October 2021 as a Care Practitioner.I love my role, which involves supporting the care team as well as the nurses with clinical tasks; it has a great variety, and no two days are the same. I enjoy helping the residents, talking about their lives and getting to know them and their families.

My name is Kerry, and I am a Carer and the Dementia Champion at Westlake House. I have been at Westlake since 2022. I am very passionate about my role and delivering the highest quality care for our wonderful residents. My role as Dementia Champion allows me to be a voice for our residents and provides me with the knowledge and training to best support our residents and their families.
I am currently working towards my NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and am enjoying using my years of experience to further my education.

I was born in a small village in Zimbabwe called Ntabazinduna ( mountain of the chiefs), on the outskirts of Bulawayo.
Our house was a stone's throw from the main government hospital called Mpilo - meaning Health.
I always loved to see doctors and nurses go in and out of the hospital, but I never thought I would be a nurse one day.
I came to the UK in November 1999. I began working in Westlake House in 2002 for 6 months and came back in 2004 until 2019. Now l’m back again after a 3-year absence.
Westlake has always felt like my hometown to me. Wherever I’ve been, l always wished to come back home to Westlake House. What a great Home, a great team and supportive management.
There is no place like Westlake House; our residents, relatives and visitors all echo the same sentiments.
