My Mum was looked after with care and compassion by experienced staff trained in dementia care. She was a long term resident at Linfield House and her care needs were reassessed and adjusted as dementia progressed and her mobility decreased. A consistent team of carers meant they knew her and could recognise her non verbal cues. I was kept informed and consulted and the office, nurses, carers and management were open and easy to talk to I felt that Mums welfare was always their priority. During Covid every effort was made to facilitate family contact whilst complying with all the regulations. Mum was given every opportunity to join the activities even when she deteriorated and was only capable of watching others and enjoying the music. I felt I could go and visit at any time and it was always a clean and safe environment.

We are POA's for a friend who went to live in Linfield House about two and a half years ago. We have been very impressed with the care she has been given during this time. The staff are very friendly and caring and we have been particularly impressed with how well they know the names of all the residents and interact with them in the Home. Staff are kept busy but when they have quiet moments they take the opportunity to spend individual time with each resident and discover more about their lives. The staff keep us informed of our friend's welfare and we are very much included in decisions about what's best for her and kept abreast of developments within the Home. There is a lovely atmosphere in the Home and a wide range of activities is organised.

My Mum has Altzhiemer's disease and has been a resident at Linfield House for nearly five years. I can't express in words how grateful we are for the loving care Mum has received on her journey with this illness. Her personal hygiene needs are always met, she is always comfortable. The home in general and her room always smell fresh and are immaculately clean. She is always treated with love and respect and the staff can always raise a smile from her. Thank you to all the team from the bottom of my heart.

The lady who I have been POA to for some years has just celebrated her 90th birthday at Linfield House. She has been a Linfield family member (resident) for 3 years this September and I have always appreciated the care the staff give her. It gives me complete piece of mind knowing she is loved and cared for so professionally. I have got to know many staff members, even though I am only able to visit 4 times a year but I see such care and dedication and joy when I observe them with her. Even Louise on reception helps get messages to staff for me. I would highly recommend Linfield House.

The staff at Linfield house work hard to ensure both my parents are happy and secure. Personal care is carried out with a lot of sensitivity to their individual needs. The activity range encompasses both their needs. I am reassured by the level of nursing care that is on hand 24 hrs a day and I am always kept fully informed of nursing needs.

The work that has been put into keeping everyone cool in this heatwave and ensure they are hydrated is a credit to all staff.

It takes a while to trust to another in the care of a mother, but mum had decided that she was ready to accept residential care when she moved to Lindfield.
Two years in with her dementia slowly progressing, she has accepted the care offered in a way we couldn't have previously thought would be possible.
Mum loves her new home, except when she doesn't, and then her relationship with the staff is secure enough to allow her to continue to accept and receive the care offered.
The standard of care provided by the home is high and mum enjoys good relationships with all of her care team. Generally the continuity of care, which is important to mum is good, and staff are able to make her feel special.
The home takes pride in the plethora of daily activities which mum gets a lot of enjoyment from.
In addition mum has special dietary needs which the home works hard to accommodate.

Mum's decision to move to Lindfield was a wise one.

There is a really good contact from the care home should anything happen i.e. an outbreak of COVID or something similar for family members not to visit.
The care of my mother is really good. I can telephone to the nurses if I have any concerns about my mother's health and someone always gets back to me should they be busy.
There always is a presence of a few carers around to talk to should that be needed. For meals the residents have a choice to go down to the dining room or eat in the lounge.
It is warm and the residents are well cared for.
The bedrooms/en suite are kept clean.

The ambience is clean and smells fresh.

My mother has been at this care home for nearly two years. In those two years, I feel that she has been looked after brilliantly. Everyone is so caring, and nothing is too much. All the staff are very friendly and always have a welcoming smile on their faces. My mum loves the entertainment which she looks forward to most days. She seems to enjoy the variety of lunches and dinners which are served up every day plus the endless cups of tea, which she likes to tell me about. When I ask her if she is OK, she enjoys talking about what has happened and who she has spoken to her during the day. Yes, she's very happy here.

My mother initially refused to entertain the idea of going into a care home. However, when we took her on a tour of Linfield House, she was very impressed with it and said, "That is where I want to be." Myself and my sister were very impressed with it too.
We were so happy that we managed to get her in really quickly - the staff really pulled out all the stops! As we were struggling to meet her needs in her home, we were very grateful for this.
The accommodation, decor and facilities are of a really good standard - very thoughtfully designed and well-maintained. The gardens are lovely and having the dementia garden is amazing. The staff are always warm and welcoming and have almost become friends. The attention to detail is mostly very good and staff communicate with relatives well.

My mother's financial circumstances are currently challenging as we are having to sell her flat. The home have been extremely patient whilst we have been going through this stressful process.

My stepmother moved to Linfield House after a stroke left her with dementia and loss of mobility. She is looked after wonderfully. The staff are so friendly and caring. They have learned her likes and dislikes and they all do their best to enable her to join in with as many aspects of daily living as she can manage. I wouldn't have thought it possible but she has actually improved with what she is able to do since moving to Linfield House. Whenever I visit, the staff always welcome me and will stop to chat about how my stepmother is doing and what they've been talking about with her. I'm not sure I will find the right words to write this review, but Linfield House and all the staff are fabulous, professional, kind, patient and very understanding. My sister has been a resident on Whitcombe Suite for four years, she has been very well cared for, and staff have dealt with her changing needs with care and consideration. She has remained cheerful and is always greeted with a smile and a chat from the laundry staff, cleaners, carers and nurses. The food is really good with a choice which is appreciated. She loves the company and numerous activities in the lounge arranged by the activities staff who organise wonderful entertainment.
