My mum had Alzheimer's and dementia and we got to the stage where we felt Mums needs would best be met in residential care.
Mum settled in well, was eating better than she had been at home and joining in with the mostly daily activities. Unfortunately, she had a fall in the night, she was examined in hospital but was returned to Linfield House. The care staff supported Mum to improve her mobility.
Unfortunately, Mum's dementia deteriorated very suddenly, and despite the very best efforts of the staff, Mum's condition declined and she died in late September.

I was so impressed with the genuine care, affection and respect afforded my Mum whilst she resided in Linfield, including domiciliary, care, nursing and management staff. The staff also cared for us, her daughters as Mum reached the end of her life, I just can't praise and thank them enough.

My mum moved into Linfield House in June 2024, in the late stages of Alzheimer's. After it became unsafe for her to be at home. Mum was losing the ability to eat and drink and the staff continually encouraged her to try and eat. As soon as entering Linfield's you can feel the warmth and friendship. From the very start the staff made Mum feel loved and cared for. Every member of the team were friendly and caring and nothing was too much trouble for them. The staff at the home encouraged Mum to join in with activities when she could. The staff at the home had very good communication and if there were any issues I was contacted straight away to keep me informed. Sadly Mum lost her fight in September, the last four months of her life were better for her being at Linfield's. Anybody who is having doubts for their family member please feel reassured that this a welcoming and amazing home, I only wish that we had moved her there sooner.

My late sister was cared for by the very dedicated team at Linfield House during the advanced stage of Parkinson's disease. They were gentle, kind, supportive and encouraging, especially during the last weeks of her life. Their loving care extended to me and our family when we also had bad days coping. Linfield House is light, airy, spacious with a calm atmosphere, is very clean with good rooms, excellent food and activities programme. I knew it was the right place as soon as I walked around the facilities and met the manager and some of the staff.

My parents, both of whom have Dementia, have been residing at Linfield House for almost a year now. I have nothing but praise for all the Carers and Nurses at Seldon Suite. They display unwavering devotion, respect and care at all times towards my parents and the other residents, enabling them to retain their dignity. The carers and nurses undertake what must be a very challenging role at times and their patience and understanding are undeniably to be applauded. I would recommend Linfield House without hesitation.

We feel so lucky to have found Linfield House for my mum. Not only is she safe but she is with staff who have taken the time to get to know her and to genuinely care about her as well as for her. We are so pleased to see her smiling and joining in with the many activities on offer.

My mum has Dementia and couldn't cope living independently anymore, and after a respite stay at Linfield, she decided she wanted to live there permanently.
This was a great decision as she is now much happier in herself, and we, the family, can rest assured she is well cared for and all her needs are met.
The staff are lovely, and the home is equally lovely.
Communication has always been great.

Here's hoping Mum remains as happy and enjoys the rest of her life at her new home.

I hold Power of Attorney for a good friend who has always relished her independence. When she became unable to live safely on her own it was a huge challenge to find appropriate residential care, but Linfield House has provided a supportive and caring environment. Staff have taken the time to get to know her as a person and are interested in her 'background story'. The nursing staff are excellent at keeping in touch if there are any concerns, visitors are welcomed like family, and the inevitable 'tricky situations' amongst a significant proportion of people living with dementia are managed with compassion and good humour. Management, Carers, Nurses, Reception, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Kitchen Staff all play their part in this.

All of the staff at Linfield were incredibly kind, caring and patient with my Granny. They were brilliant at communicating with us in a timely appropriate way and we felt that all of her needs were met. They were very good at giving nursing care when it was needed and liaising with medical staff including the GP. I felt they really understood her needs including her dementia. The food looked excellent and of a high quality and my Granny enjoyed it. Her room was always clean and tidy and it was well furnished.

The home felt peaceful and calm but I was also very impressed with the daily activities and entertainment on offer. I will always remember the kindness given to my granny from all the staff - they were truly excellent. We felt supported as a family when we visited and staff were available to talk to if we wanted. I felt they got to know my Granny very well despite her only being there for a relatively short amount of time.

My mum has been in the Richmond Suite at Linfield for over a year now. The staff were amazing in helping Mum to settle in. It was a daunting time for her with dementia, but one that was made so much easier with person-centred care and support. Mum has continued to be happy and content feeling safe.
Linfield has a varied program of daily events which she loves joining in with, helping to stimulate her and maintain her interaction with others.
The staff are approachable and happy to discuss anything. They all know and understand Mum well, so quickly pick up on any concerns.
The manager even has an open-door policy, which is great.
It is so reassuring to know mum is well looked after, and is safe.

Thank you everyone.

I am delighted with the way my mother is being cared for, particularly when staff spend time with her and listen to her when she is anxious or upset. She is always encouraged to ask for help when she needs it, but is also allowed to be independent whenever she can, which helps her self-esteem.

My cousin says that she is very happy at Linfield House. She says that the staff are very kind to her and the food is good.
She likes her room and I was so pleased she has a lovely large room with 2 windows and an ensuite. There is plenty of wall space for her pictures and shelves for photos and ornaments. She has a landline phone on the table so we can call her.
We needed a few conversations to ensure she was offered only fish, not meat but this was soon remedied.
If she has any medical issues the nurses phone me the same day to inform me.
I feel very happy with my cousin being looked after at Linfield House and feel she is safe.

It is expensive but I was told by several people that it is the best care home in Worthing so that was my priority when choosing.

My mum stayed at Linfield for 13 nights, following admission to the hospital for complications from Covid and a head injury from several falls.

From the moment she was greeted, until the moment she left, the staff were delightful, treated her with compassion and respect and genuinely seemed to care. The staff communicated well with me, as well, which meant a lot. The room was bright and clean and the food was pretty good - there was flexibility for dietary requirements. I would recommend this home, as it was the best place for my mum to gain her strength and confidence before returning home.

My mother stayed with you for ten days of respite and the level of care was extremely poor. Even when she arrived, the BP machine wasn't working and never was taken until I asked a week later. Carers were generally very young and disinterested. Examples: given laxatives unbeknown which caused an accident and she wasn't showered. Had to bring in blankets because there is one thin sheet. No one came into the room unless she rang the bell. No stool at the sink for her to sit whilst she washed. Woken at 6 am to take paracetamol. No proactive engagement. TV remote not working etc. Now she is somewhere else I realise how bad it was!

The care staff at Linfield have been so wonderful. When my mother arrived from the hospital in 2018 she was very frail, she has thrived at Linfield since that time. I live overseas, it is so important to know that the staff really keep a careful eye on her. Every time I call she is happy and comfortable. I originally had a hard time being able to speak to Mum by phone. We now have a planned time for my call to a phone in her room. The food is amazing, they have done so much to make sure she can have some of her favourites. Mum now has to have a soft diet which they make appetizing.

Given that mum could no longer live a fulfilled and safe life in her own home anymore, her only option was to go into care. This seemingly huge compromise turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Her last three years in Linfield gave her a new extended family in the staff and carers. Their genuine interest and care for her physical and mental well-being cannot be overstated. She knew she had people around her who genuinely loved her at the end, and for that, I shall be eternally grateful. Linfield House has proved that going into care doesn't have to be a sad or a diminishing option for anyone who needs help to continue to have a good life.

My cousin has been a resident at Linfield House for over four years. The physical and medical care he has received has been very satisfactory. We live some distance away but when we visit, staff show care and attention, and also patience, which is so important as my cousin's physical condition and dementia sadly worsen. A lot of effort was made during the Covid period to protect residents and to enable visits which was much appreciated. We receive regular updates and photos/videos of residents involved in activities which help us to stay in touch. We feel great confidence in the care Linfield provides.

Mum moved to Linfield house in May and we couldn't be happier with the care she is receiving. As a family, we all feel welcome when visiting. The atmosphere in the home is calm which was really important for us for mum. The facilities are great, the staff are helpful, kind and approachable.
