My mum was fast tracked from hospital to the home on august 5th 2026. She sadly passed away on September 1st. Her whole stay was so wonderful for her and her family. The whole staff were caring and professional. Mum ate the meals something she hadn't done for weeks, staff made her happy she was always comfortable and always clean + washed

My husband was a resident at Home Close and received the very best care right up to the time he passed away. The care was second to none, nothing was too much trouble, every member of staff went above and beyond to make sure his stay was the best it could be. He spoke well of everyone he came into contact with, they all genuinely cared and treated him with respect. The food was very good and a good variety of choices. The home has a lovely family feel and if I ever have to go in a care home this would be my first choice.

My/our experience of care give to our mother is generally excellent, the manager has always been, helpful, kind and understanding and I feel able to go to her if any concerns. The nursing staff are lovely, kind and caring to my mother and the day to day carers have shown love and compassion and understanding to my mother as she has dementia. They make her feel loved. The domestic staff to are great with her showing an interest to her and too are kind.

I was very happy with the care that dad received with his stay at home cloase and would happily recommend to anyone of my immediate family if ineeded.

My brother received excellent care in the time he was in the home, before he died peaceful We always had a member of our family in the home while our brother was there. We were also well looked after by the wonderful staff, and nothing was too much for them. They were all very caring and kind, and we couldn't have asked for better care and attention for our brother. Every member of staff are a credit to the home. The home deserves full marks for which I haven given it.

The care my family has received at this care home has been nothing but exceptional. They provided end of life care for my dad, showing compassion, dignity and genuine warmth during an incredibly difficult time. The ongoing care for my mum has been equally outstanding. The staff consistently go above and beyond! The manager is especially supportive and approachable. She is always there when you need guidance and support. Her leadership creates a comforting and positive atmosphere that you can feel the moment you walk in. I truly cannot rate this care home enough. It is clear that everyone here works with heart and real dedication.

The care for my brother and all of his family was exceptional. It was delivered with love and compassion. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff being it in meeting my brother's needs, answering our questions or ensuring we were comfortable. Although we spent a lot of time there we were not made to feel in the way. It was never too much trouble for the chef to accommodate my brother's fussy attitude to food! We are deeply grateful for the love and care we received at this traumatic time.

Staff always very helpful and my mother has now settled into her new home, she has got better in herself. The manager has always found time to discuss if any problems arise (with me).

My father was in Home Close Care Home from Nov 2023 - Oct 2025. His first year, he was mobile and preferred being in a 'home'. The staff were excellent in welcoming him (& us as visitors) & learning to cope with his frustrations. From Oct 2024, he was bed bound and incontinent, but still the staff dealt with his conditions with excellent care and attitude. He died in Oct 2025, and this was dealt with in a very caring manner. My wife and I would be pleased to be in Home Close when we're older!

Mum is being looked after as we had hoped. Friendly, professional staff, and a happy atmosphere. Food good! Thank you for taking care of Mum.

As a family, we are very happy with her standard of care.

My mother went into Home Close for end-of-life care. The care she received was fantastic. Her granddaughter has SEN, and the staff were just as brilliant with her, too. The staff did everything they could to make Mum comfortable. They are all excellent, from the manager down. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to each and every one of you for making her last few weeks and days as comfortable as you possibly could.

My wife has been resident at Home Close since 2016, and I am very glad that she is in this care home rather than others that we looked at. The staff are caring, dedicated and professional, and appear to love their job. The general atmosphere has improved noticeably since the arrival of the new manager, who initiated improvements straight away and is lively, friendly and dedicated. Her stated aim is to improve conditions for residents, and she doing this with great enthusiasm. The care home's situation, on a quiet village road and surrounded by lawns and mature trees make it a very pleasant place for residents to enjoy. I recommend Home Close wholeheartedly, and without any reservation.

Staff acted swiftly on 2 occasions when my mother in an emergency which was very impressive.

Many positive changes took place since new manager came on board. Staff all always smiling, helping with everything. Carpets are gradually being replaced by wooden floors (more hygienic, and smell better). New activities are being introduced. Huge thank you for looking after my mam.

I am so happy that Mum is here. She has a lovely room, the home is bright and clean but, most importantly, the staff are kind, conscientious and caring. Every member of staff I have engaged with, from the nurses to the carers to the cleaners are friendly and efficient. The Manager oversees everything but clearly trusts and values her staff. She runs an excellent home and is very visible to staff and residents. She is making many changes as each time I visit, something else has been upgraded, decorated or improved. Home Close isn't as flashy as some care homes, but I'm so glad Mum is here because I know that she is treated with genuine affection by the well-trained staff. She was so independent and active before dementia, falls and frailty led us here and I worried about how she would adapt but everyone has made the transition surprisingly easy. Mum is safe, clean, well-fed and happy and I can sleep at night.

I think the home and staff are first class. Always a smile when you go in.

The facility and activities looked good and all the staff we met were very pleasant and caring. The manager was a bundle of energy and clearly runs a successful home!
