My brother is the happiest he's been for years at Swan House. There's always something on, and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

Staff seem to generally care and are helpful and seem to be happy and smile a lot, which in turn, helps the patients they are caring for. Security is very hood and helps to keep out Covid. My opinion is it is a well-run care home.

My husband has been a resident at Swan House for almost four years.
In all the time he has been there, he has always been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The staff are so caring towards both him and myself and are like a second family.
I have told friends about the care, and quite a few people I know have been cared for both in the past and the present.

I would willingly recommend Swan House without hesitation.

I have had my mother living with me for the past ten years. Her general health declined over the preceding two years. Finally, after a fall when she broke her right wrist, it was obvious I could no longer take care of her. She was admitted into Swan House in May; her care has been first class. All of the staff are very friendly, kind and always willing to help.

The staff have taken very good care of my mum over this very difficult time. It was lovely to see her hair being done and even her nails varnished, and also, entertainment in the lounge, bingo, exercises etc. Really great that her room has been decorated, thank you.

My father was placed at Swan House following discharge from the hospital. He was made to feel welcome and is treated with great care and understanding. He is very old and at the end of his days. I am confident that he will be properly cared for to the end. The staff care charming, considerate and welcoming.

Overall Experience

My father was resident in Swan House from March 2020 until December 27th when he sadly passed away. He was well looked after, always well presented, and I was always grateful for the extra effort it must have taken to transport him outside of his room for visits. During his time at the home and especially on his last day, the kindness, support and hospitality given to me were excellent. Through these difficult months, all the staff have been very professional and caring throughout. I, too, would not hesitate to recommend the Home to anyone who needed support later in life or with palliative care. Sincere thanks to all.

Overall Experience

My father was admitted on 25th March 2020 as he needed 24hr nursing care. I was only able to visit him three times during the year due to the virus as he was bedridden 24/7 and his bedroom was on the 1st floor. During these nine months until he sadly passed away on Dec 27th, the care he received was second to none. All of the staff and nurses were very kind, caring and professional. In the last few days before my father's death, all of the staff treated me with dignity, respect and were very caring. This same dignity, respect and care was given to my father throughout his whole stay and especially in the last few hours. I would strongly advise anyone considering care for a loved one to not hesitate in contacting Swan House.

Overall Experience
Following a fall at her former Assisted Living accommodation, Mum had to spend two weeks in hospital and a further three weeks in a Rehabilitation centre.
We realised that she now needed a 24/7 care facility .... we were so relieved and happy to find that Swan House had a vacancy.
Although Mum is now very frail at 90 years old, the carers at Swan House have encouraged her to socialise a little. She now enjoys occasional bingo and quiz morning sessions!
Mum has a lovely room with windows overlooking the garden and although we haven’t visited as yet, we have been able to FaceTime her. She seems happy and enjoys her food too.
We couldn’t have asked for more from the team of carers day and night.
The manager is very approachable, professional, resilient and down-to-earth .... the welfare of her residents is certainly a priority.

Thank you so much Swan House for relieving us of a great deal of worry.

Since Covid, I have seen my mum safely in person, FaceTimed her and spoken regularly on the phone.
She has looked happy and well cared for.
Carers have helped with her answers prompting when necessary. They are always cheerful.
Medical help is sought in a timely fashion which is reassuring.

Activities take place regularly.

We are happy that the level of care that my husband is receiving is giving the family peace of mind that he is being well looked after and is safe. It has been much appreciated that visiting has been available during these extreme conditions so we can see each other. This is the first time we have been apart in our 60 years of marriage.
