The staff at Dussindale Park cared for my late husband in a very caring and thoughtful way. It helped me to know that his last weeks of life were supported by very smiling and cheerful staff who could not have done more for him, looking after his needs so well, day and night.

My sister has been in this home for nearly 3 years and I am very happy with the care she gets. There have been problems for the past few months with the manager and lack of staff but I do feel that all staff have been extremely good and I have very few complaints. I am very happy with the new Manager,
a very caring person.

All staff are so friendly, they have made me so happy and safe. Food is really nice and the rooms are kept very clean. The nurses have done a good job helping me to walk and treating my leg and foot, they are so caring. The carers are also very helpful and can't do enough.

My mother has been a resident since February, her needs are complex and she requires constant care and attention. I can honestly say that the staff here have been absolutely marvellous. The level of care and attention mum receives on a day to day basis is everything I'd hoped for and more. The staff's
care does not stop at my mum, they are so supportive and helpful to me too. I would not hesitate to recommend Dussindale Park, I trust this organisation with my precious mum and I know that they will continue to give her the very best of care until she passes. Thank you, Dussindale staff, for making this very difficult time as straightforward and as easy as it can be.

I recently transferred my father from a care home to this one, and the transfer was handled extremely well. The Manager could not have been more helpful.
The relief to myself and his family was tremendous.
This is a purpose-built home and works very well for his particular needs.
I had lunch with
him yesterday, and the food was good and presented nicely, in the dining area.
The staff are polite and friendly.
It is difficult for anyone to go from being independent to needing care. However, I am recommending this nursing care home to all my friends, who, being middle-aged themselves, may also need to find provision for their parents the near future.

Most things are good. Some very good. The manageress is considerate and perspicacious. The only disappointment is when carers and nurses etc. (that you like) give their notice in and go to another place of work.

For a short time I worked for a local funeral director in the Lichfield area, and during that time visited numerous nursing homes. The first thing I noticed about Dussindale was that it had none of the smells I had come to associate with the homes. Everywhere it was clean and smelt fresh.
The staff
were also very friendly and helpful. I feel that my wife's cousin is getting the best possible attention.

I had not seen my cousin for almost four years and was really pleased to see how well he is.
He had been very ill for a long time, but now due to the care, he is receiving he is happy, contented and physically much improved. The home had a very pleasant welcoming atmosphere and did not have any unpleasant
smells (i.e urine) as in many homes.

My father suffered a stroke in August 2016 in a residential home. He had received respite care and had been very happy at Dussindale Park Care Home and that was where he wanted to return to for his care. The manager and her team which includes all ancillary staff are professional but show extreme kindness,
understanding, compassion and respect to not only my father but the family. We know we have their support at all times. I cannot fault their care of a very precious father and am extremely relieved that he is in their care and so well looked after. Thanks go to each and every member of Dussindale Park Care Home.

Mum was transferred to this fine nursing home after her stays in hospital due to her continuing, acute medical and welfare needs. The admission process was smooth, caring & efficient. All the staff immediately welcomed and made her feel at home with particular thanks to the manager who conducted the
initial assessment at the hospital.


As the family, we were reassured and totally included, always feeling that we were part of this brilliant team involved in Mum's continuing medical care.


The range of activities available each week are superbly managed and the quality of the meals cannot be faulted.


We chose this nursing home due to its high compliance with the CQC recommend standards and felt that the accreditation received is well deserved. Most importantly this nursing home will provide for all Mum's future more complex needs in a dignified and loving environment.

I removed my friend from another nursing home as I was unhappy with her care.
Since arriving at Dussindale Park Care Home in March my friend's care has been excellent. They treat her with great respect tend to her needs and respect her wishes. My friend has vascular dementia. I can talk very freely
with the staff at all levels who are very kind and caring. The manager is also very approachable and integrates with the residents.

My review would read the same for any month as I have recommended this home on numerous occasions for the excellent dignified caring shown to varying categories of residents and where appropriate a welcome sense of humour by all of the staff from top to bottom (sorry for the "pun"). This month a resident
needed extreme extra planning, consideration and care (she is immobile). With excellent support on the day, she was able to attend her brother's funeral service and stay for refreshments and socialising with old friends.

I am very happy and impressed with the home. The minute my mother is in pain or needs moving, the staff come in straight away to help. The food is very good. The meals are tasty and wholesome.

My mother is living in Dussindale Park nursing home as she is diabetic. She is mobile with capacity but needs monitoring after a nervous breakdown but she has a new lease of life now. There are activities to do and people to see for company. The staff are brilliant, as a cover myself, this is the first
thing I looked for. The home is clean with good food. I and my mother are very happy with her choice.

In my father's new situation of complete dependence, the staff and management are showing him great patience and kindness, as well as to me as I do my best to support him. The introduction of a key worker is a promising development, which we hope can lead to him regaining some sense of anatomy, as even
a small degree of independence can be very significant for him.

My mother has extremely complex needs and cannot speak or move of her own accord. The staff have made such a massive effort in getting to know her and what makes her happy. I feel she is incredibly well looked after and her needs are more than met.

Since my sister moved from her council flat to Dussindale Park Nursing Home, she hasn't looked back. She has completely changed, she is now so happy and has put on weight, from being very much under-weight, very thin and unwell with hospital/doctor visits.
Now she is healthy, gets on very well with
all staff, looks forward to having her hair done, mixing with people in the common room and joining in with sing-songs.
So overall my sister has changed, beyond all recognition, she she is so happy and cheerful. (My sister said to me "Why haven't I been here years ago?")

The care and support shown by the manager and her team has been above and beyond all expectations. Mum went in for end of life care, as she was very ill plus she had dementia. Mum was not aware how ill she was and at times could be very difficult, wanting to come home and thought she was being held
against her will, she could be very demanding with no insight into her true condition.
All staff took this in their stride and were calm, patient and reassuring with her. At the very end when I called in to see her, I found her made comfortable in the day room with a member of staff holding her hand. The staff supported mum and me through a very difficult time. I have nothing but praise for them, they are worth their weight in gold.
