The care and support shown by the manager and her team has been above and beyond all expectations. Mum went in for end of life care, as she was very ill plus she had dementia. Mum was not aware how ill she was and at times could be very difficult, wanting to come home and thought she was being held...
All staff took this in their stride and were calm, patient and reassuring with her. At the very end when I called in to see her, I found her made comfortable in the day room with a member of staff holding her hand. The staff supported mum and me through a very difficult time. I have nothing but praise for them, they are worth their weight in gold.

Dad was admitted at Dussindale in August 2014 he was a poor old thing having spent six weeks in hospital. I must say from the bottom of my heart without the love, compassion, professional caring the staff provided he would have not survived, but dad carried on till this present day. The home provide 24 hour care and that's what dad received. The cleanliness, food and drink, activities all warrant a special praise. Well done to the manager and her team. Well done.
