My Mother was in Dussindale Park for a short time and I cannot speak highly enough of the care Mum received. I always found the staff pleasant every time I visited and have trouble recommending Dussindale.
In my father's new situation of complete dependence, the staff and management are showing him great patience and kindness, as well as to me as I do my best to support him. The introduction of a key worker is a promising development, which we hope can lead to him regaining some sense of anatomy, as even a small degree of independence can be very significant for him.
My mother has extremely complex needs and cannot speak or move of her own accord. The staff have made such a massive effort in getting to know her and what makes her happy. I feel she is incredibly well looked after and her needs are more than met.
Now she is healthy, gets on very well with all staff, looks forward to having her hair done, mixing with people in the common room and joining in with sing-songs.
So overall my sister has changed, beyond all recognition, she she is so happy and cheerful. (My sister said to me "Why haven't I been here years ago?")
All staff took this in their stride and were calm, patient and reassuring with her. At the very end when I called in to see her, I found her made comfortable in the day room with a member of staff holding her hand. The staff supported mum and me through a very difficult time. I have nothing but praise for them, they are worth their weight in gold.
My husband has been in Dussindale 18 months and has found his time to be happy most of the time. He has a nice room with a nice view.
Get on very well with management and all the staff.
My husband is in this nursing home and is well looked after. I don't have to worry as I know he is in good hands, he can't eat well but they go out of their way to find something he can manage, that's good caring to me.
Dad was admitted at Dussindale in August 2014 he was a poor old thing having spent six weeks in hospital. I must say from the bottom of my heart without the love, compassion, professional caring the staff provided he would have not survived, but dad carried on till this present day. The home provide 24 hour care and that's what dad received. The cleanliness, food and drink, activities all warrant a special praise. Well done to the manager and her team. Well done.
From the moment I spoke to the manageress a dark cloud was lifted, with bad experiences and always fighting for my dad while in hospital, the first thing she did was to give me a cuddle. My dad was fully made a fuss of by all of the staff. At dad's passing we were given dignity. Just a shame we and dad never got to know the lovely staff properly. Can't thank everyone enough.
Lovely modern home, well furnished and clean. Very friendly and competent manager who appeared to get things done. Well trained, personable, caring and interested staff.
Very comfortable and well equipped home. Caring and committed staff prepared to go the extra mile. Excellent manager inspired confidence in the facility.
Quality facility is evident from the outset. Excellent quality of staff in terms of knowledge assistance, care and support. Top Manager of home very caring, involved and professional.
My mothers came in for a two week respite after having a fall at home. After initial concern form her she soon settled, thanks to the wonderful care team. My thanks to the manager and all her team.
My aunt has been at Dussindale Park for a while now and is very well cared for. The staff are lovely and always have time to spare to sit and chat and it's a lovely place to visit.
