I am the brother-in-law of a long-term resident of Meadow House. I try to visit with my wife as much as I can and when I do I am always heart-warmed by the care, the atmosphere and the warmth shown to my sister-in-law. My last visit coincided with the annual summer fete - the effort and time it takes to pull an event like this off is huge! People still give so freely their time when they must be worn out from either running the home, running events or giving care. My wife and in-laws visit weekly, and we all feel that this wonderful place and the staff and residents are an extension of our family.
Thank you very much, Edd for such a lovely review.
Many thanks for a great afternoon and for making us feel welcome.
Amazing staff! Well done and thank you all.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I will pass on your kind words to our staff members.
Well, what can I say about these remarkable people? Their total dedication to the people they look after is outstanding, each person in their care are treated as individuals and their care needs met always. Their manager is remarkable and goes up and beyond with her team to make the people they care for feel special and loved. My sister had a truly wonderful 60th birthday party in March, it was just so lovely and memories were made. I can’t thank you enough.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I will pass on your kind words to our staff members.
Very friendly and inviting place to visit, happy residents, always something going on, and approachable staff.

My daughter has been there since 1997 in that time she has been looked after with all the love and care they can give fiscally and mentally, she is not an easy patient but they never fail to do right by her, keeping myself and my son well informed about all situations she couldn't be in a better place. She is well-fed and kept clean and as happy as she can be.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I will pass on your kind words to our staff members.

Meadow House is a lovely and welcoming home. Staff are always friendly and available to support. The home is well-managed and residents always appear happy and have lots to do. It had a friendly atmosphere when visited and staff appeared to put residents first.

I have always found Meadow House Nursing Home excellent in all areas of the home home, nothing is too much trouble for you. They always support you in your wishes. Especially music, live or karaoke, they're great. The exercises in the activity centre are good, cycling, boxing, weights, using the tablet and 10 pin bowling). I loved cooking on a Tuesday morning for us to eat at lunchtime. I like quizzes.
Thank you so much for your kind review, I will pass on your kindness to our staff.
He is treated with kindness and dignity and although he is unable to take a active par in many of the activities now he is always encouraged to take an interest in the going on at Meadow House Nursing Home.
Thank you so much for your review, I will pass on your kind words to our team.
Now 12 years on, I no longer am consigned to a wheelchair, have lost half my bodyweight, 34 stone to 17 stone, I use a stick and no frame. I have bought a scooter for going to town, I am now nearly complete with a sponsored walk for McMillan nurses. Meadow House is my home and I love it.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are all delighted with your progress.
A friend of mine moved into Meadow House just over two months ago, and a few key members of staff have helped him settle in so well. They are there for him always, and he is so happy. He has a really good relationship with the activities coordinator. Seeing my friend happy and settled tells me he’s in the perfect place.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I will pass on your kind words to our staff members.
Such a lovely place. Always clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful. My friend, who lives here, is happy and well taken care of. They also speak highly of the home and are always doing activities and keeping busy. It has more of a homely feel to it rather than a care/nursing home. Very nice place.
Thank you so much, Sam, for your kind words and we really appreciate this lovely review. I will pass on your review to our staff.
After working in a nursing home and having a bad opinion about care homes, coming here made me change my opinion. The level of care, the quality of food, the amount of activities is amazing. Nothing is too much. Thank you for your amazing work and homely place to stay.
Thank you so much Ana for your kind words and we really appreciate this lovely review. I will pass on your review to our staff.
I truly can not believe the progress my nephew has made since being at Meadow House. The care is outstanding, you can feel how friendly and happy the home is from the minute you walk through the door. Everyone is welcoming and the staff always make time to let me know how he is doing. In 2 months he has gone from being in bed all the time to sitting in a chair and never being in his room! He is joining in with things and enjoys joking with the staff. He has even had a bath and agreed to have more which is a miracle! I can not thank them enough for improving his quality of life so much in such a small amount of time.
Thank you so much Sarah for your kind words and really appreciate this lovely review.
I love all.
Good crew - all tried hard.

“Staff genuinely enjoy spending time with the residents - there are many young people at the home and the work we do to help can be very rewarding. We ensure that every resident is entrusted to our care - they become like family to us.”

“Prior to my job here at Meadow House I worked previously in accounts when I left school for a large department store. To be good in my position I think you need to have good interaction with staff, residents, relatives and professionals. An ability to work under pressure and to meet targets. The best bit of my day is achieving set tasks and leaving enough time to attend to our residents”

“I decided to apply for my job at Meadow House after an interview I realised what a great place it would be to work. I think that my ability to listen, organisational skills and understanding of individual’s needs makes me stand out. I enjoy the variety of jobs that come my way and the interaction with the residents and staff”
