Meadow House offers dedicated care for people with a physical disability, specialising in care for people with multiple sclerosis. This purpose built, single storey Home opened in 1989 and has built up an enviable reputation in both the local and wider community for its high quality care. It has been sympathetically designed to offer a range of single rooms, a welcoming reception area, large lounges, dining room and a separate Activities Centre, all of which are available for residents and their guests to enjoy. Although rooms are fully furnished, they encourage residents to bring their own items of furniture and personal effects to complement those provided.

Meadow House is situated on the outskirts of the pretty market town of Swaffham, near to a range of shops and amenities. To ensure that residents continue to have an active social life, regular trips are organised in the minibus to the local shops, theatre, etc. If you simply wish for peace and tranquillity, well maintained gardens with raised flower beds surround the Home, allowing you to enjoy a haven from the bustle of the town.

Care staff, who usually do not wear a uniform, are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their nursing skills but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual. Of course, a qualified physiotherapist is on hand for specialist help.

Care workers regularly assess each resident so that they can be sure their needs are met and supply specialised equipment if required. An optician, dentist, hairdresser and chiropodist visit by appointment providing all the usual services including manicures and hand massages. Catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.

All the staff have treated me with high respect and dignity. There was nothing, when I asked, classed as too much. The physio department has helped me hugely. I have improved both mentally and physically since being here. The staff have commented on my improvement. I am eternally grateful to have been
placed here because I felt I was a person and not just a paying guest.
I have achieved a lot and I am very proud of myself for my achievement and that's all thanks to the support from all the staff, from housekeeping, laundry, nurses, kitchen personnel, carers and management.

Very lovely and welcoming care home with a homely feel to it. Staff and management are always happy to help. Due to COVID-19, I have been unable to visit my friend who resides at Meadow House, but the home has always been very good at arranging video calls and socially distanced visits. Would highly

Meadow House to me is my home. I have lived here for ten years and I can only express the care given to me has been top rate. From the domestics, cleaners, care staff, nurses and management. I am a retired nurse and of course, am aware of what care is given etc. I can find no fault and can write this
review with honesty and praise. A home willing to go the extra mile.

The home is well managed the staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the home is calm, clean and welcoming and the residents seem content. There are organised activities and all are encouraged to take part. The only problem seems to be in employing a physiotherapist.

My wife was in the care of Meadow House from 1997 following a stroke. First in daycare until 2013, when full-time residential care was needed. Throughout this period she was treated with kindness and consideration by all the staff and had first-class nursing care. I cannot speak too highly of Meadow
House on its entire staff.

Management and staff are always friendly when visiting. The carers are excellent at their jobs caring for their patients and there are always activities going on for everyone. I would recommend this nursing home to anyone if needed. Keep up the good work you all do.

Meadow House staff, at all levels, excelled themselves with thoughtfulness beforehand and the eventual specialist care for our daughter during a difficult family situation. They were attentive and responsive to all of her needs and took good care of her clothes and possessions. We applaud their expertise,

I came to Meadow House 8 years ago, and I had no plans for life, to be honest, I had really given up on the future. I had to be hoisted, I had no mobility and was morbidly obese. All I could do was watch TV and sleep. Now 8 years on I love my life, I love Meadow House and all that it has given me. I
do arts and crafts and I go to a weekly weighing class. I have lost two and a half stone and am mobile with a frame. Management and staff have given me a purpose in life.

I have visited Meadow House NursingHome since it first was opened. A friend of mine was helped here whilst his MS worsened. At the open day a very happy and vibrant occasion, Saturday 11/5/19, my opinion was further cemented. No fuss-service as normal and I was struck by how the carers/supporters were
so "in tune" to the needs of their residents that when a bell rang for help, four people quietly left the proceedings without any eye has profoundly/complex learning and physically disabled so I have seen many residential units and hospitals - this one is fantastic. I will be speaking to the Council as to how I can go about path improvement to Meadow House. I walked and had to go on the main road when the path runs out. Those walking or in a wheelchair - dangerous access to the town.

Very satisfied with the care provided with my husband's respite care. Nothing is too much trouble and keeps you informed if there is a problem ie fall etc.

My Mum has been a resident for about a year and she needs 24-hour care but has been treated with dignity, friendliness and excellent care since she came to Meadow House. My Mum experienced a severe brain injury, and as a family, we were unsure how she would progress, but since being a resident here
she has improved continuously. The level of care and amount of resident involvement cannot be faulted. An excellent care provider.

Meadow House is such a lovely nursing home. I can not recommend it enough. My Mum has improved tremendously since she has been here. My Mum is in very safe hands and I feel so relieved there was a room available when she needed it.
